Appearance:
Astrid is about 4'6" (she's short, but that's because she's 13 and still growing). She has light blonde hair that falls to her elbows. It is usually tangled and windswept because she is constantly running around and getting herself into a mess. Her skin is very tan and her eyes are a bright blue flame. Freckles are scattered across her face and arms. Her smile almost never leaves her face. Her build is petite and whispy as she is very young and runs around a lot, but doesn't really build any muscle. On days that she dresses casually, she is usually in shorts and a tank-top. She is always wearing sneakers or tennis shoes because it makes it easier to run around.
Personality: Astrid is the cat that Curiosity killed. She is a nosy little bugger and cannot help but get in everyone's business. If it gets her in danger, then all the better because Astrid would rather die than be a coward, but this has gotten her into many scrapes and trips to the hospital wing before. Astrid is one of those children that has a really difficult time staying still. She hates being in class, but loves when she gets to practice in duels, one place where she actually succeeds in her grade. In classes such as Potions, Charms, Herbology, and others, Astrid barely passes with acceptable grades. Instead of studying in the stuffy, crowded library, she would much rather be flying around the pitch on her broom or pranking some slinky Slytherin.
Although she has good intentions, her pranks and duels can get a little out of hand without her realizing. Sometimes she will speak without thinking and end up offending people intentionally or unintentionally.
Astrid has an incredibly short attention span due to her ADHD. This means she may get distracted easily and walk out in the middle of a conversation. She is also very impulsive and acts on her impulses, especially when they keep her from doing her homework.
Background: Astrid grew up in London, England with a fairly average, happy childhood. She grew up around magic and became incredibly excited about learning more once her magical abilities began showing (about a year before she was the appropriate age to attend Hogwarts). Having many siblings and cousins, her house has never been truly quiet. She was involved in many magical experiments by her older siblings when she was a baby and her poor mother still claims that this is the reason for Astrid's ADHD. She was a bit sad when she was first put on the train to Hogwarts because she wasn't sure if she'd make any friends outside of her family, but she soon got over this because she became fascinated with the school and magic and all the potential adventures she could have.
During her second year and she had received about 60 detentions total because her curiosity could not be satisfied. This has caused quite a few gray hairs to come to her mother and she will receive howlers every now and then, but when it comes down to adventure, even her mother can't stop Astrid from chasing after it.

» Description: Frank was Peter's Owl before he left Hogwarts. Frank is generally grumpy, but if you feed him enough, he should stop biting you. He gets the job done, a very fast delivery owl. He and Astrid get into it sometimes, but he is loyal to her and doesn't deliver for anyone else if he doesn't have her permission.

Other: Astrid loves cake. Absolutely loves any cake. She also is constantly eating and has snacks with her.
