This chapter tries to answer the question, "Why don't our efforts work out as we hope and dream, even when we work hard?" Blackaby answers that it's because we are trying to get God to bless our plans, rather than trying to follow God's plan for us. I found this very insightful and thought provoking. How about you?

I have experienced days where I hit road block after road block when trying to get my list of things done. When this happens to me, I have learned to turn to God and say, "OK I'm not getting what I need to do done today. So what is it you want me to do?" I then stop doing my list and wait. Often the importance of the to do list has out weighted the needs of those around me. So I try to just listen.
