Mat (matzsy) A few years ago, I read a time-travel book.

It wasn't a romance novel.

It had a man traveling back in time somewhere in a coastal southern U.S. city. He met a young woman who helped him. He bought camping supplies and lived outside by the water (a river I believe or a bay). At one point, a storm washed his tent & possesions away. There was at least one other older homeless man living there too.

It's not a lot to go on, but I'd appreciate any help.

Jan (beadyjan) Its ringing a bell - of sorts - Its not Z for Zachariah by Robert C O'Brien is it? although I think thats future time travel.

Mat (matzsy) Sadly, no...I never read that book. Thanks for taking the time though. It is appreciated.

I'm hoping eventually somebody will know which book I'm talking about

That's the one! I looked and I realised I started the book but never finished it as someone else reserved it at the library. No wonder I couln't remember all the plot!

Thank you so much.

plurpley If I remember correctly, Z for Zachariah is set in the future (or perhaps an alternative present), but doesn't actually involve time travel per se.
