Combine Edtion Page - Not Alphabetical

Not sure if this is the right location for this question, but if not please direction to the right location....

Why are books on the "Combine Edition" pages not in alphabetical order?

Classic example is the combine edition page for Sue Grafton. She is writing a series that is alphabetical in naature but on the combine edition pages the books are all over the place.

Somewhere in the "A is for Alibi" the sort by title is
"is for alibi (kinsey millhone mystery), a"
with the A at end. The system auto puts this at the end, unless you manual make the change, on each book.

but why the C book comes before the B book. I don't know, sometimes when a books are combined with a book in a different language it can change things up.

The German translation of the C title is "Abgrundtief", which is presumably why the entirety of it comes before B. At least that's my take on it. Might be wrong.

Yes, it's supposed to sort alphabetically by the sort by title of the most popular edition, but sometimes it uses the sort by title of a different edition, which is a known bug.
