Oliver smiled softly. "Of course. Sounds great," He continued driving. They would have to pull into a hotel for the night, but for then, they would be ok.

Oliver nodded, and looked over at Kaili. "Of course, Kaili."
"One of them, yes," Oliver told her. He stayed quiet.
Oliver looked over at her, biting his lip. "Kaili, I am so sorry. I really am." He sighed, looking at the road again.
"Please, Kaili, this is for your safety," He said. Oliver sped up a bit, passing a car.
"Kaili! I can't tell you!" Oliver yelled.
"Kaili..." He reached over to take her hand in his. "I'm sorry, ok? I just can't tell you. If I tell you, you die. I'm not ok with that."
Oliver sighed. "I'm sorry that I ever came into your life, Kaili. For your sake. You deserve so much better than this... You deserve to be happy." His face looked tight, but he tried to keep it straight.
Oliver bit the inside of his cheek. He wanted so badly to be honest with her. Maybe this was his first chance. "I was told to meet you."
Ollie sighed again. "Look, once we're far enough, I'll tell you, okay? Just... please be patient with me until then."
He glanced over, a small smile tugging at the corner of his lips. "Did you want to? With me, I mean..." His eyes flicked back to the road.
He bit back a smile. Even if it was for the sake of not being alone, the fact that she wanted to be with him made his heart pound. His heart. When did he get one of those. ((kk when we started this, wasn't he a demon? Isn't that the story?))
((okkaaay coolios thanks))"There should be a couple in the back seat," He told her. Ollie squeezed her hand in his.
Oliver smiled to himself at the contact. Maybe she didn't him after all.
Oliver just continued driving, now far far away from the old city. He would have to stop at a hotel for the night, but he wanted to get as far away as possible.
Ollie pulled into a motel parking lot not soon after she had fallen asleep. He went into the office and paid for the night, then picked up Kaili's sleeping body to take her into the room.
Oliver opened the door with his foot and laid her down on the bed. He turned, closing the door after him and laid on the second bed. He wasn't sure if she wanted him to lay with her, so he had paid for the two bed room.
Oliver stirred a bit when Kaili had joined him in the bed, but he just wrapped his arms around her sleeping form and slowly drifted back off.--
Ollie awoke, looking down at Kaili. He smiled to himself, loving that she still liked being close to him. If that was what this was. He sure as hell hoped it.
"Good morning, beautiful," He mumbled, before realizing what he had actually said. He blushed bright, and sat up, turning away from her.
Oliver hugged her back slightly, smiling into her neck. He placed a small kiss on her cheek. "What are you saying thank you for?" He murmured.
Ollie's arms wrapped around her tighter. "You are beautiful, Kaili. More than anyone I've ever seen. And I wouldn't be able to leave you even if I tried." He whispered.
"Well, now we get breakfast. I don't know about you, but I'm starving," He flashed a silly grin at her before getting up off of the bed.
Oliver held her hand softly, not wanting to be too fast. He looked over at her to make sure that it was alright.
Once they got to the food, he let go of her hand to get them both plates. He handed hers to her and looked across the food options.
Oliver grabbed some hash browns as well, grabbing a couple of the waffles that were there. He walked further down the line.
Oliver nodded, stuffing a handful of grapes into his mouth. "Ready," He said around the little round fruits.
Oliver came and sat by her, smiling slightly. He ate some of his food, looking around the hotel. They had more travelling to do for them to get as far as they needed to.
Oliver nodded in agreement, looking around the hotel. It was awfully quiet in there. He shrugged and ate some more off of his plate.
He thought for a minute. "We could stay in town a few hours if you'd like. But we have to leave today, yes." He pushed his plate away from him as well and leaned back in his chair.
"Kaili, I want you to be happy," Oliver sighed. He shook his head and grabbed their plates, taking them over to the garbage.
Oliver hung his head slightly, then turned around in her arms and hugged her back. "I love you, Kaili. I wouldn't be doing any of this if I didn't love you, okay?"
"I could never leave you, Kaili," Oliver reassured her. He kissed her forehead softly. "I will never leave you alone again."
Oliver smiled softly and squeezed her tiny hand in his own larger one. "Wanna look around the town? See if there's something fun to do?"
He laughed softly. "We can definitely stay and have a little fun. Come on, let's go get dressed," He walked with her towards their room, glad to finally see her smiling again.
Oliver grabbed a random shirt and threw it on over some cargo shorts. He ran a hand through his hair and examined the tattoos that covered his arms in the mirror.
Oliver looked down at her thin fingers on his arm and smiled. "I have more," He told her. Most of his torso was covered in tattoos, one of the first things he had done when he got on Earth.
Oliver shrugged, turning slightly red. "I just mean... I don't know. I wasn't sure if you had seen them or not."
He squeezed her hand gently, looking down at her. "I'm so sorry you have to go through this."
Oliver smiled sadly and stopped walking to pull her into a hug. "I love you so much, Kaili." He mumbled, kissing the top of her head. "You're such an amazing person and the bet girlfriend ever."
Oliver held onto her a couple more minutes before finally pulling back. Many bystanders were looking at them funnily, but he didn't really care. At least he had someone he loved so dearly there with him, sharing his embrace. Oliver grinned.
Oliver shrugged. "Honestly, I'm just happy being with you. We could do anything and I'd be great." He started walking with her again, his eyes never leaving her face. Damn, this woman was beautiful.
Oliver chuckled and walked with her over to the fish store. "Did you want one?" He mused, looking at the excited look on her face.
"Well, we'll stop every night at a hotel, so he won't be in the car too long," Oliver smiled down at her. "Of course I'll get you one."
((oh no, sorry!))Oliver shrugged, looking at her admirably. "Whichever one you want, love."
He smiled and told the worker. The man behind the counter came over and pulled the fish from the tank. He put the rainbow fish in a bag of water and handed it to Kaili.
Oliver grinned. "Not nearly as cute as you, my dear." He told her, looking between her and the little fish.
"Whatever you want," He murmured, putting his arm around her shoulders. Oliver walked outside with her, looking around.
Oliver grinned and kissed Kaili's forehead. "I love you so much. And any nae you come up with with be wonderful," He told her softly.
He smiled and held her close to him as they continued walking. "This will be great for us. I know it will be," He said, more to himself than to her. He wanted to do what was best for her, to keep her safe. That's all he wanted.
Oliver walked with her, taking in all the sights. He could see why humans would find them appealing, with all of the bright colors and lights. He pulled Kaili in closer to him, smiling widely.
