Maria I woke up today, thinking about 2 things that I had to know:

1. What would Voldemort see if he looked into The Mirror of Erised? Would he see Harry dead or would he see himself being like the king of the world? Or maybe he'd see himself killing Dumbledor...

2. If you saw a Boggart and you are afraid of Boggarts, what would you see? Since know one can see Boggarts would you just see a big black thing? Am I making sense here???

Sella Malin i have a few of my own answers to your questions, but they are opinionated, so don't be mad @ me if you disagree.

1. I think that Voldemort would see a vision of ALL his enemies vanquished (including dumbledore and harry) and everyone on his side, turned to a death eater, so he is in power of everyone and can do whatever he wishes without worrying about authority.

2. I think you would see a boggart in his true form. no one can see boggarts because nobody fears an actual boggart, so if you feared a boggart you would see his true form. but you would only see it for a few seconds, i would think, because if you saw the boggart in his true form maybe he wouldn't look so scary anymore so you wouldn't be afraid of him anymore. am I making sense?

Sella Malin i also think voldemort would see himself above death, and completely in power and conquering of it; he fears death the most, so he would probably see himself as not being able to die ever, even if his horcruxes were destroyed.

Maria Sella,

Thank you soo much!!!

Your answer had taken all of the confusion out of my brain!!

Sella Malin I'm glad I could help.

message 6: by Niki (new)

Niki I think Voldemort would probably see himself with his Mum who loved him, just like Harry. That's how all this came about - he just wants to be loved!

Emily Rule 1. I agree with Niki. I think that Voldemort's drive for power and his desire for ultimate control comes from the sense of insecurity he gained because of his family life. His childhood was one that was fraught with danger, hurt, and neglect all because he was abandoned. I think that he ultimately desired security in knowing that he was loved for who he was, and since he couldn't find that he turned to abusing others and seeking power. When you come down to it, he doesn't want the power he just wants the love that he never had.

2. So what does a real boggart look like? And wouldn't that be an example of fearing fear...becuase that's all a boggart is...fear. So, wouldn't you just be like Harry and see a dementor.

Sella Malin To Emily:

I think you would see a boggart in his true form. no one can see boggarts because nobody fears an actual boggart, so if you feared a boggart you would see his true form. but you would only see it for a few seconds, i would think, because if you saw the boggart in his true form maybe he wouldn't look so scary anymore so you wouldn't be afraid of him anymore. am I making sense?

Isaac Well then aren't you just fearing the thought of a Boggart? If you haven't seen it and no one has described its looks you have no mental image of it to fear.

Juliet I think Voldemort would see himself as an immortal, ruling the world and defeating all of his enemies.

I think that you would see the boggart in true form, though I have no idea what that would be like.

Ciara Here's what I think;

1. Voldemort would see himself outside a burning Hogwarts with all of his enimies dead.

2. I think the boggart would be in its true form, whatever that may be.

Grace I don't think someone can actually fear a boggart the most; he or she could be dreading the feelings of fear that the boggart invokes when it shifts shapes, but that person wouldn't be afraid of the actual boggart itself.

Jeni Voldemort would see himself as immortal, as Crimsonscarlet said. His greatest fear is death, so that would be his boggart-him dead.

In the books, the boggarts have no form except someone's fear, so you would see what you really fear. Even though everyone was afraid of the boggart in the wardrobe, it only took on the form of a true fear.

I think you can't really be afraid of the boggart, but you can be afraid of what form it takes because you know what it will do.
