Why do people compare to The Space between us?

Why do so many people compare A fine Balance to The Space Between Us by Thrity Umrigar. I find the subject area similar but they are soo different! A Fine Balance is by far better than The Space Between Us. The way its written, the intricate details and also how it is so unmeasurably emotionally more captivating and leaves such a lasting impression.

I have not read The Space Between Us, but I thought that A Fine Balance was a very important book. It is well-written and covers such an amazingly wide canvas. A 'must' for anyone interested in learning something about India.

Same I absolutely loved A Fine Balance. Honestly one of the most impacting books on me. like WOW. I haven't read The Space Between Us, but I'll check it out and see what it's about :)
