Just read the part where Arya and the boys headed for the watch are captured. I thought that she and the bastard kid would make it to Winterfell.

Theon is slimy. When he was with his sister I was thinking, he doesn't know who this lady is. She may not be who he thinks she is. I'm at the part where Arya is at Harrenhal. Love it.
I'm on my 2nd ebook loan from as many libraries. I have to finish it by May 5. I'm really liking this series, especially since he added in a little bit of supernatural so it's not just all Renaissance fair. Reading ahead at the descriptions of the remaining books in the series, I may try to slowly work my way through all of them.
I was talking to a friend yesterday and told him I was reading the books. He was disgusted by it. He said come on, they are worst than Harry Potter. I disagreed but yes, he isn't a fan.
"Worse than Harry Potter." Lol. I guess your friend doesn't like some of the best fantasy series of all time :)
I bet it's because it's a big deal on HBO. It's definitely not something I would have picked up if my son hadn't wanted me to read it so much.
Just picked up the 5 book paperback bundle for $30. Nowmy son and I won't need to worry about loans expiring. Also reserved first season from the library.
Finally a battle! So far, I'm hoping renley wins....but stannis may have a few tricks up his sleeve....magic perhaps?
I reserved both Season 1 on DVD and Storm of Swards from the library (kindle). Both will take a while until they are available. Do we want to keep this thread open and progress through the series? or just leave it at Clash of Kings?
Gosh, I've been getting sidetracked...lol. Im gonna continue and hopefully finish this in may since I'm not doing a group read. Lets continue the thread. I have book 3 and K4tie wants to join on this one. When do u think you'll get book 3?
I do have a physical copy of book 3, so I can start whenever you're ready. I just prefer the Kindle version.
Ok. Well, I plan on making some headway tonight on COK. So,how bout we start on the 12th? That'll put pressure on me. I tend to read better when there's a deadline...lol.
I'd like to join for the 3rd book but I might not be able to start it til nearer the end of the month.
That's the same with me Kate. I have a bunch of books to read right now, then I can jump in on the third book.
Awesome! So glad we have more ppl joining:) K4tie, glad u found the thread. I can be technologically impaired sometimes...lol.
What the heck did melisandre give birth to? My eyes were so wide with surprise. Well, maybe I shouldn't know. This book is just crazy good!
Yeah, I wouldn't like to see that birth. I'm almost finished with the book. I'm currently at Davis chapter, the battle with Lannisters. I'm hoping to finish book two tonight. My goodness, this book, I agree, crazy good.
Nice! I can't stop reading but I have to go to work. Perhaps I can finish in a couple of days. I can't wait to watch season 2!
If its someone davos knew, id guess stannis as well. Kinda neat and bizarre. Wonder what it will look like in season 2.
It could be Stannis's shadow assassin but all we know is that Davos saw it before and it freaked him out. I've seen season 2, I'm all up to date on the HBO series. It's actually neat to see the differences for the books and the show.
No kidding right? Looks like we have five willing to read A Storm of Swords. I hear that one has a real plot twist!
There are a couple plot twists, but that is George for you! I have previously started but I'll start over for this to get the full experience :)
