CJ It is a paranormal romance book in a series, similar to Black Dagger Brotherhood, with soul mates, or life mates?? And the Alpha hero finds his doesn't approve of his 'soul mate' - she isn't what he envisioned. Obviously she grows on him and they unite. From what I remember she is mortal, he is not. Any help would be appreciated :) x

Virginia Do you mean the Primes by Susan Sizemore... Specifically "I hunger for You"?

CJ Thanks for commenting Virginia.... I'm not sure if I posted wrong, but you're the only answer I've received. the book I'm thinking of isn't I hunger for you... but that's gone straight on my to read list ;)

Wow, there are many that can fit into that category of the guy not really being into his "lifemate" etc. There are series that I can think of that may be it. They are written by Shayla Black, Terry Spear, J.D. Tyler, Jacquelyn Frank, Alexander Ivy, Kresley Cole, Kerrilynn Sparks, Larissa Ione, Shelley Laurenston, Nalini Singh, and Gena Showalter.

I hope you find the one you are looking for. Please let me know which on it is. If I haven't read it, I might want to. Good luck.

Stacy okun This is the Black Dagger Brotherhood Series...There are 12 books . They are awesome. The one you have pictured is Book #2

They're awesome, they've found like 3 or 4 books that I had read but couldn't remember the titles or authors.
Hope you find what you're looking for.
=)

CJ Hi Girls, I'm on the hunt now... More so to give you the title of what I am looking for :) Melody, I'm not sure if they are vampires, but Angels or fallen angels ring a bell. And Terri, I will def be sure to let you know!! Sorry Stacy, This is the 1st time I've posted so I just chose a book that I know is similar.

Keep the suggestions coming... there is only so much sleep I can loose searching ;)

Joanna It is the Black Dagger Brotherhood by J.R. Ward. Pane is the name of the girl and she falls in love with a mortal doctor named Manillo I believe. She is supernatural and is the daughter of the Virgin Scribe. There are currently 11 books in this series, all of which I have read. Great series (last one, Lover at Last) least appealing in the series for me.

Melody Mongeon fallen angels series, JR ward, sandra hill, gena showalter, those are the ones i get off the top of my head, larissa ione has a series with all kinda of angels and demons, but iknow i have seen book covers with what look like angels from authors i don't read. let us know if you find it.

Fallen Angels, Gena Showalter, Lord of the Underworld fits into that category. Then, Cynthia Eden has a series. I know there are more along that way, I will have to get back to you C.J. with the others.

CJ Okay settling in for another night of searching. I remember sitting at my desk at work (I mean 'working' ... a-hummmm) and reading the summary. The H expreses in front of the h how disappointed he is in the soulmate that was made/chosen/found?? for him... Am I imaging it? ARGH!

Sylvie CJ, if it's fallen angels, could it be the Fallen Warriors series by Rosalie Lario?

Carolyn Davis cj try Christine warren, might be one of her Others series.
or Jennifer Ashley Shifter's Unbound series

message 18: by Mary (new) - rated it 5 stars

Mary Bess JR WARD the brotherhood of the dagger and she has a new one coming out called THE KING

Jessica Perhaps Lara Adrian Midnight Breed series

NanaV You got me.
I'm a paranormal romance series addict. I cannot remember any whose soul mate, life mate wasn't acceptable. Some started out that way but soon discovered they were life mates.

message 21: by Lisa (new) - rated it 5 stars

Lisa Baffi It might be Christine Feehan's Carpathanian series. Some of them the mate is human then turned.

Tammy Not sure if the fits but in the 1st book of Katie MacAlister's Dark Ones series the heroine Joy is the Beloved of vamp Christian but she chooses someone else. Christian gets another love in book 2. I don't remember how the Beloved issue of resolved.
