I would like to see this thread gain some life. I have Glasheen's 2nd Census and can add some info from that. Which people are we looking for?

Ok, well let's start off with someone that doesn't have too many entries listed in Glasheen and also the reason I returned to the Wake 20 years after I first read it.Arthur Conan Doyle is listed as having two places:
228.13
617.14
The thing that got me back though was signs of his greatest creation the ultimate detective who is as always on the lookout for a good mystery - Sherlock Homes.
Glasheen also has only two for him at:
165.32-33
534.31
I know there are a lot more though and will try to hunt some down before the week is out.

Dan, that is an awesome digital collection. I have collected most of these for fairly cheap (except for the third census which is astronomical in price compared to the second) at flee markets and ebay. I just bought the Gazzeter yesterday for 8 bucks.
Digital is great and if the books are out of print it is the best way to go. My problem is that I tend to have at least 10 books on the Wake open at once spread across my desk. I need to work on focusing on one aspect at a time.
I don't recall any kind of Original Intention for this thread. So, please do have at it! In every kind of omnidirectional manner!atm, I reading an Arabic novel -- Leg Over Leg (got baptized the Ulysses of XYZ somewhere along the line by someone maybe slightly over the line at sometime before any line) -- and the Quran, so my orientation nextens=readings ("until we sleep, we wake!") will be Quranic Arabic Muhammadian and Relatedian'd.
Gotta go, Muhammad's asking about that mountain...
In 1933 Federal Judge John M. Woolsey ruled that Ulysses was not a pornagraphic novel and fit to print. I wonder if he is in the wake. Anyone find any traces of him?
