I really enjoyed Blowing on Dandelions!

Sarah | 85 comments Mod
Me, too! It definitely fueled my interest for the series and drew me in from page one!

Sarah Shewey | 24 comments I have to say little Amanda was too adorable in this book! Loved when she asked the Pastor to a tea party!

Carole Jarvis I really enjoyed this book too. I've always thought Miralee does characterization and conflict well. Just finished it last week and am eager to continue with these familiar characters.

Cindi I loved Blowing on Dandelions. I gave it 5 stars.
Here's my review:

This is the first book in the Love Blossoms in Oregon series.

Katherine Galloway runs a boardinghouse while raising her two daughters after the death of her husband. Katherine’s hardhearted, demanding, mother comes to stay with her and wants things to run her way. Will they clash regarding decisions? Will Mrs. Cooper (Katherine’s mother) squash all hope for Katherine’s happiness?

This a sweet story about love, family, forgiveness and hope. I really enjoyed the friendship that forms between characters. The author has a nice way of disclosing each one’s spirit needed to bring them to life. Having the strength Katherine has, proves that following what the Bible teaches is possible, but not necessarily easy.

If you are looking for a lovely romance that takes place in the late 1800s this is one you will enjoy. I’m anxious for the next book in the series to be released.

Carole Jarvis I echo your thoughts, Cindi!

Miralee | 168 comments Wow, thanks so much, Cindi. I didn't know you'd written a review. Did you know that Amazon is now open to posting a review, as long as you choose the paperback instead of the Kindle? I'm hoping to get a few more reviews soon. SO glad you enjoyed it!

Wanda (flghtlss) | 96 comments Mod
Cindi's review is for Blowing on Dandelions Ms Miralee so you can post under either for that one. I completely agree Cindi. You will enjoy book two. :)

Miralee | 168 comments Ah, that's right, Wanda, thank you. I was thinking it was for Wishing on Buttercups. I'm tired tonight, can you tell? Need to go to bed early.

Elizabeth | 7 comments I want to say that this was my first book to read of Miralee Ferrell's

Ms Miralee I can completely understand. I was awake most of the night and kept a migraine most of the day. I need to go to bed but I have too much to catch up on. LOL

I also got my review posted. Once I post to my blog for the tour it will be 12 places in all.

Miralee | 168 comments Wanda, Get some rest, girl!!! You've done enough and do NOT need to get those reviews posted now, or even this weekend. The only one that was super important was Amazon, and you've done that. Take care of yourself and rest. That's an order!

Hope you feel better soon, Wanda! Get some rest! I had a migraine, too, last night into this morning. I'm hoping to have a day of rest tomorrow, and I hope that you get one too!

Tina Another great book of Miralee's! Loved the characters and the way their lives portrays real-life situations.
Blessings,Tina

Miralee | 168 comments Thanks, Tina. This is my first three-book series, and while it was a challenge in some ways to keep it going, it was also a joy, as I loved continuing on with the same cast of characters. To me, the characters are what make the series.

Tina Miralee, I love series. I love to follow the characters in the series and find out what happens in their lives.
Blessings,Tina

Migraines are not fun, Sarah. I have them sometimes frequently and I'm not much good when I do.

Thank you Ms Miralee. I have to tell you though, I'm not much good at doing nothing when I know I have things waiting on me. I can't stand it until I tackle as much as I can. That's just my nature. Don't worry, if I feel like I need rest I'll stop. Taking care of my mom drags me down a bit because I am up and down all night and I just can't sleep during the day unless I'm sick so I don't get any rest until the next night and that's often 2am. LOL

Ok we have two Melissa's and two Sarah's. I'll be so confused!

I do too Sarah. I had a headache for eleven days straight last year. I was miserable. Thank God it wasn't a debilitating migraine but it was an ever present headache. I hurt for so long I was almost used to the pain by the time it went away.

Don't you guys think I am confused enough already?!? LOL

Rachael (rachsramblings) | 42 comments Over half way through...very much enjoying this book. Mostly because the characters thoughts are revealed as they act. It is interesting to see that often a persons motives are so very good, but they come across wrong. I stayed up past midnight last night reading this! :)

Miralee | 168 comments Yay! So tickled you're enjoying it, Rachel, thank you so much for sharing that.

Rachael (rachsramblings) | 42 comments Just finished this wonderful read. It is a book that continues in thought even when the book is closed. I love those kinds of reads. I have a great relationship with my mommy. However, I didn't really with my grandmother. I know she didn't mean to come across as harsh. She did love me, but she was a Yankee and clung to the way she was reared. It is interesting that I just finished the true story of Janet Tombow and how she was reunited with her mother after 45 years. The book is "Stolen but not Lost. I will write a review once I have thought on this book for a while. Thanks so much for encouraging me to read this before I receive the next in the series. Thanks, Miralee, for such a wonderful, thought provoking read!

Miralee | 168 comments I love hearing your thoughts on this book, Rachel, thank you. It means a lot to hear from a reader and know they enjoyed my work, and better yet, why. I truly appreciate your offer of a review, and I'd love if you'd consider posting it on Amazon, CBD & B&N, as well as here on Goodreads, if you have time. Now I'll really be excited to see what you think of book 2...personally, I think it's an even stronger story in some ways.

Wanda (flghtlss) | 96 comments Mod
I'm glad you liked it Rachael. My mom and I had problems for years. Not because I was a bad kid and gave her a hard time or anything. My mom never liked that I spoke up when she did things that were so wrong morally. Like cheating on my dad or leaving us with a $500 phone bill to pay or it would be cut off, not once but twice. My dad was allergic the bees and wasps and if he was stung, although he had an emergency kit, he still had to be rushed to the hospital which required making a call to 911. With no phone that would be impossible so that really upset me. We get along great now and I am one of her caregivers. Thank The Lord for repairing years of damage to our relationship. This book really touched a cord within me regarding Katherine and her mom's strained relationship. Book 2 is awesome too and has an even more in depth story line. You'll love it.

Rachael (rachsramblings) | 42 comments I will be posting a review...this book, however, requires a bit of ruminating before the writing. :) I put them up on Amazon, Goodreads, B&N, Books a Million, deepershopping, and parable. I sometimes put it on twitter and Pinterest as well. Looking forward to book two, I was picked to review by the The Book Club Network.

Rachael (rachsramblings) | 42 comments I related more to the granddaughters in the book. My mom wasn't passive, but my grandmother said she wished she had never married among other things that I know hurt my mom. My grandmother was upset by things that happened in her life and never seemed happy.

I can totally understand. That's one of the things I love about this series... The characters are so relatable.
