That sounds like good life goals. Any good tips? :)

Don't let the need to be polite override the warning signals and bad feelings you get (example from the book). So when the shy quiet neighbor down the street offers to show you his chainsaw collection in his basement, feel free to say no.

However, the title is a little misleading. The authors are two women who have a popular true crime podcast called "My Favorite Murder" (I haven't listened to it). This book is mostly a comedic joint memoir about how to survive bad jobs, insecurity, therapy, and growing up in the 80's.

I'm good then, I don't have a need to be polite for politeness' sake :)

The title sounded really fun.

Currently reading my way through a whole pile of Free Comic Book Day 2021 comics, most of which aren't listed on Goodreads.

Finished the Chronicles of the Unhewn Throne trilogy last night. The Last Mortal Bond
As much as I have loved this series, I was a bit disappointed in the ending.

I know there is a standalone fourth book, but I'm counting the main story as done.

3 stars. I think I liked the straight Star Trek aspects more than I liked the meta-story.

The Lark and the Wren by Mercedes Lackey
Also 3 stars. I found this book to be a bit frustrating because there were parts that were set up to be so much better than typical YA or light fantasy, but the author seemed to settle for easy plot resolutions.

I liked it! (It does show a few signs of being based on a TV show.)

Yeah, I can see that, but I definitely feel I now know more about the history of steam!

I had been looking for Kakuriyo vol 2 online and most places seemed out of stock. Popped into a Waterstones in another town and they happened to have it!
