I've started it today, and it's a different book from the ones I've been reading

I agree with you Tatiana! It is indeed different because I've never read a book on Golems or Jinnis before :p. I've just finished chapter 7 and (view spoiler)[I can see how the reader can be thrown off interest with the names and places because they are foreign. But once you get past that, the story was easy to follow. I like how the other characters were given a bit of significance because the author takes time to tell their story. Sophia has just entered the picture and I think I'll like her. (hide spoiler)]

I have no idea where this story leads to but so far I'm interested! :)

I'm almost halfway through the book, and I love how some characters that are apparently secondary are given a backstory! It's not yet clear where the story is going, but I'm still enjoying it!

Just finished chapter 14. I like how the story is bringing the characters closer together now. They are becoming entwined and I expect that I'll soon understand the connection between them. This book has so far (view spoiler)[been a window to cultures that are really foreign to me. I think that's why I'm getting all interested. (hide spoiler)]

Just finished Chapter 21. So I couldn't believe that (view spoiler)[Chava married Michael! I know she sought peace and perhaps a new direction over the incident with Anna, but the complications of this decision was far too many! And I'm still wondering how things would go with Sophia and the jinni. I think I like them but again who knows where this relationship might lead. (hide spoiler)]

I hope I can finish this by tonight and get the answers I need :)

I finished on the commute back home today, and I was satisfied with the ending! I liked how all the stories came together

I finally finished the book. I'm happy that (view spoiler)[the ending suggested a happy ending for our main characters. I just wished there was a more definite ending like how they spent their life after the whole ordeal. There were sad deaths but I understood the role they played for the plot. (hide spoiler)]

The rabbi explaining love to the golem was really cute, but I'm sad he's gone now because the golem is alone once again, though hopefully her friendship with Michael and the jinni will grow so she's not actually alone.
