D.C. | 198 comments I know it's not instantaneous, and this may be an isolated incident, but this title shows on my dashboard with four ratings and one review, but when I click on the dashboard I'm back to three ratings and zero review. When I click on the icon, it shows three and zero, but when I type it in to search, in some screens it shows as 3.5 stars rather than the 3.33 it had been, but when I click on it...

It's been like this for at least two hours, as far as I've noticed. I have no idea when the rating/review was posted. It's not a giant deal, but it is a little frustrating, and I'm aware that some potential readers wait for reviews before making a decision on whether they are interested in a particular title or not.

Alex (ucbstirling) | 140 comments Hi D.C,

To improve site performance, the ratings counts on book pages are cached. It can take anywhere from a few hours to a few days for new reviews to show up in all areas of the site. I've just manually refreshed the cache for The Price of Everything, and the correct number of ratings and reviews now shows.

Wonderful, thank you. I know it's not instantaneous, but I usually expect an hour or two, and I was starting to wonder.

Unfortunately, due to the sheer number of reviews we get every day we just can't update it that often and keep the site performing for our users.

D.C. | 198 comments Keeping things working is definitely a higher priority, but thank you for taking a look at it. It's sometimes hard to tell if it's just slow or it should be coming up and isn't.
