Finished: Great book!! It's a memorable book and definitely left an impression on me

Wow, I'm a doofus. I just messed up the dates. I thought the 26th was Monday, but it's actually Sunday. Whoops! I have the book, but my computer is having a hard time downloading the reader for it. I hope to get that fixed tomorrow, so I can start them. Can't wait to read this book, it sounds good!!!

I liked this book a lot when I read it a couple months- when it's written by John Green you can't help but like it. It definitely had some funny and touching moments. Reading some of the quotes y'all posted made me smile all over again and I loved the cheering scene! Overall, this wasn't my favorite book by Green but it's still pretty awesome. :) I'll be lurking to see what everyone thought!

My campus has been closed the past two days so I wasn't able to get my computer to Tech help, but my library now has a paper copy! I should pick it up and finish it soon. How many pages is it?

I got it yesterday and will read a lot today, if not actually finishing it. I read An Abundance of Katherines last year. I really liked that one, it was quirky and smart. I liked the math in the end of it, very interesting.

20% so far. I really like it. Pudge is an interesting narrator, and I can relate to him. I like Alaska most of the time, I think. It makes me happy that she has a million books in her dorm and has a single. I'm like that too!!! I'm not sure how I feel about Colonel or Takumi. They are fascinating, but I don't know enough about their characters yet to make a real evaluation.

I just started it yesterday and almost half way through! So far I really really like it! I really like Pudge as a narrator and can totally relate to him and I love the humor in this book so far!

Reading the first 100 pages sort of convinced me that this is just not another teen romantic YA... its much more deeper than that!

I like all the characters especially Alaska! She is so unpredictable and funny and crazy and smart! Just the way she is, you just feel that there is much more to her than her looks!

But (view spoiler)[ When Pudge asked her why she smokes so damn fast and the way she replied, "Y'all smoke to enjoy it. I smoke to die" and again at McDonalds when she said something about dying young, I'm just worried about her... I really don't want anything bad to happen to her.... (hide spoiler)]

Also I'm really intrigued that the name of the chapters are like countdown of days...! I wonder whats that all about!

I have finished and boy do I feel mind blown. But blown doesn't even describe how scrabbled my brain is right now. Oh my Jesus, this book. It was so amazing and heart breaking all in one. I bow down to the master that is John Green. All of Pudge's last essay is just amazing and I would try to quote it, but the whole thing is just amazing and beautiful. If I wasn't so tired and mind boggled I'd probably be crying. This book was truly amazing and one of the most inspiring books I've read to this day.

I just finished it and wow.... It was my second John Green book,first being TFIOS and I had this notion that I won't like any of his other works the way I liked TFIOS cause to me it was that good! but boy was I wrong. John Green, you are now officially one of my favorite authors.

(view spoiler)[ I was heartbroken for Alaska. From the 'before' part I had this nagging feeling that John Green was giving lots of hints that something bad was about to happen but I was always in denial cause I cared about the characters so much and didn't want anything bad to happen to them.

I loved the enigma that is Alaska Young. She is a mystery from the very page she was introduced and by god she remains a mystery till the very last page of the book.

The thing which I really admired about the book was the way John Green very accurately depicts the fact that when we are in head over heels in love with someone for the first time we romanticize them in such a way that we actually fail to see the real person with all their flaws and faults. So I could totally understand Pudge's fascination towards Alaska.

I loved all the characters in the book, I loved the message the book sent, I loved the philosophical aspects the book touched, I loved the famous last lines and I can go on and on and on.... I loved it to bits.... This book will stay with me for a long time...
