When did you read this Corallie? Do you have any memories of the cover?

Was it primarily a romance or was it a suspense/romance or primarily a suspense or thriller?

Corallie | 25 comments Oh , umm i read it , ummm 2 years ago i think? no, it was primary romance , no suspense , no killing in it ,just the secret service remained quiet and didn t deny that the main character was the Mistress an she looses her firm and everything , she moves in a small town and meets the main guy , he was on a campaign and being involved with her was dangerous,I remember that she was a butler , she was handling everything for her high end client

How are you a butler but have a firm? Butling (or whatever is the correct tense) is usually a one-on-one type thing where 1 butler works for 1 person/family, usually for many years. And also, usually a butler is male. If female, they are a head-housekeeper.

(And I am going to HAVE to read this, just to see how she works as a butler firm.)

Aerulan | 1317 comments Maybe The Private Concierge by Suzanne Forster The Private Concierge by Suzanne Forster? I haven't read it so I can't say if it fits. I will say it seems unlikely going by the description, but I'm mentioning it anyway, just in case.

Only other book I can think of with a female butler is Dying to Please by Linda Howard which doesn't fit. But it is a pretty good read. And maybe checking other listopias it's on might lead in the right direction, for example there is one list for servant/butler/maid heroes or heroines that might be helpful.

Aerulan | 1317 comments I did some more looking and I think I found the one you're looking for Between the Sheets by Robin Wells Between the Sheets by Robin Wells.

Serendi Butling has changed, which I know from also reading Dying to Please. Plus elsewhere, but I've just picked up Dying... again and am entertained.

Aerulan | 1317 comments I'm glad one of them was the right book! And I'd definitely recommend Dying to Please, it's one of my favorites of Linda Howard's.
