Cheryl Olson (girlsmama) | 694 comments Hello all and here are your choices for the February Additional Group Read. A gentle reminder that you need to actually go to the poll and click on the box of the title that you like. That is how the vote is tabulated. If you make a comment about which title you like without actually voting, it will not tabulate and count towards the poll. So be sure to follow the link at the end and vote. Thanks :)

2. The Governess of Highland Hall (Edwardian Brides, #1) by Carrie Turansky - The Governess of Highland Hall by Carrie Turansky

Sorry this thread isn't a nomination thread :). But if you'd like to go to the poll and vote on one of the titles that would be great (here is the link to the poll- be sure to click on one of the boxes so that your vote counts- https://www.goodreads.com/poll/show/9... ) or else you can nominate Beyond the storm for the other group read that takes nominations which will be for the April read. Thanks so much!

Loraine (librarydiva) | 4436 comments Sarah and I visited on Facebook and she is thrilled we are doing a group read with her book. She said she would try and pop in during our discussion.

Cheryl Olson (girlsmama) | 694 comments That is wonderful- thanks for making contact Loraine- I love it when the authors pop in- it's soo interesting to ask them questions!!

Beth (bbulow) | 2403 comments Someone could also mention that we're also reading her other book for the main group read :) Funny how we didn't even plan it that way!

message 11: by Cheryl (new)

Cheryl Olson (girlsmama) | 694 comments I know isn't that funny- I wish our reads were flip flopped! Yours going first and then mine!

message 12: by Loraine (new)

Loraine (librarydiva) | 4436 comments I just got an e-mail from the library and they got me a copy via ILL!! YAHOO:)

message 13: by Cheryl (new)

Cheryl Olson (girlsmama) | 694 comments Yay- don't you just love awesome libraries!

message 14: by Christine (new)

Christine | 549 comments Does anyone know if the two books should be read in order?

message 15: by Beth (new)

Beth (bbulow) | 2403 comments Christine, from what I can tell from reviews, it's not necessary to read them in order. Several reviewers had read this one (number 2) and said they had not read the first one yet. None mentioned that it was an issue reading this one first. Of course, I can't say for sure since I haven't read them :) Maybe another member will have more insight.

Christine | 549 comments Thanks Beth :) I just started The Heiress of Winterwood and am really enjoying it! I did just check my library and I'm the 13th hold for the The Headmistress of Rosemere e-book, so.. kind of a moot point now but good to know! I guess I should have done the research before I posted :)

message 17: by Beth (new)

Beth (bbulow) | 2403 comments No worries! Looking forward to your thoughts on the first one!

message 18: by Christine (new)

Christine | 549 comments Absolutely! I've only read a little bit so far, but am really enjoying it!

message 19: by Cammie (new)

Cammie | 19 comments Should we read The Heiress of Winterwood (Whispers on the Moors, #1) by Sarah E. Ladd before The Headmistress of Rosemere (Whispers on the Moors, #2) by Sarah E. Ladd since they are a series or can they be read as stand alones?

message 20: by Cheryl (new)

Cheryl Olson (girlsmama) | 694 comments Cammie, I about half way through this one and I have been fine reading it without reading the first one, first, just as an fyi. I actually checked the first one out from the library too and will probably read it when I am done. :)
