I would recommend this book to girls twelve-year-old and older. Other books by this author are What My Mother Doesn't Know and What My Girlfriend Doesn't Know all by Sonia Sones. Another book where the whole plot of the story is similar is What My Mother Doesn't Know because they both are about girls that have problems with their boyfriends and their family's. Also some award that this novel has won are the YASIG Best Of the Best, South Carolina Mustang Book Award, and the Garden State Teen Book Award. How would you feel if you didn't remember your father and after your mother dies he is now trying to take care of you?
