Once Upon A Time and Lara
Sam started to panic. She reached out, longing to hold Danny, but quickly pulled away again, afraid of hurting him. "Danny?" She asked, trying to keep him awake. "Danny, please stay awake. Please don't leave me." She was crying harder now. She was worried about what Calla had said, about him not feeling her heart anymore because it had stopped. She wasn't worried about the scorching in her throat anymore, even though she was slowly getting weaker. She was just worried about Danny.James walked over and gently shook Danny, trying to keep him awake. "That doesn't sound good." He said. He felt silly for not knowing, but he asked anyways, "What is a blood-bond?"
"Well a blood bond is something vampires form out of connections sometimes. Since they were already connected it would form a blood bond. It would make Danny feel her hunger and thirst as well as her strength." She said looking at James. "Princess I'm trying I can't feel you."
James raised a brow, "So he would want to drink blood too?" He asked, "It's like her changing him?""Danny, I'm right here. I would touch you, but I'm so thirsty I'm worried I would bite you." She said softly. "Please don't go. I need you. I love you Danny."
"No and yes he wouldn't be a vampire he would just feel her thirst." "Princess I can't feel you." He whispered.
"Oh gosh." He said running a hand through his hair. "I guess that wouldn't be good for him. His system isn't meant to take in blood..."Sam's brow knit with worry, "You just can't feel my heart Danny. I'm still here. Do you want me to try and touch you?" She asked, willing to give it a try. She just hoped if she did end up biting him, that she would have enough self control to stop before she drained and turned him.
"Yeah." She nodded her head. "Princess I can't feel you." He kept muttering. He was going crazy.
A tear slid down Sam's cheek. She reached out and held his hand gently. Immediately her eyes turned a brighter shade of crimson. She tried to fight it, but she was so low on blood that it was almost impossible. His heartbeat was hammering in her own ears. Without thinking, she reached down and bit into his neck, forgetting to release the hallucinogen to keep it from being painful. She was starved. She took a long pull of his blood, swallowing, before sucking again.James spun, realizing what had happened. He ripped Sam off Danny, and held her back, waiting for the bloodlust to subside. She relaxed quickly, her need for blood sated. She hadn't taken enough of Danny's blood to turn him, but she had taken enough to give her strength again. Her eyes returned to their normal blue colour as she calmed down. "Let me go." She begged James, "I need to heal him!"
James let her go and she ran over to Danny, biting into her finger. She spread some of her own blood over the wounds in his neck, which healed them immediately, "I'm so sorry." She whispered, sucking her finger as it healed.
Danny laid there in pain. He couldn't see or feel her now. He was going crazy. His heart still felt like it was breaking. He couldn't sense her. It felt like they were cut off. His body wasn't used to be drained. His skin turned pale. "Princess where are you." He muttered looking for her. But couldn't see her. "I'm tired Princess." He said as his eyes fluttered. He was super tired. He slowly drifted off into a deep sleep. He didn't know what was happening in this sleep. He felt different. He could sense things. He felt stronger and more powerful than ever. He needed to be woke up before the blood bond was completed."Wake him up." Calla shouted. He was laying there limp."we have to wake im up before the blood bond is complete." She shook her head knowing it was too late. "Sam makes sure he doesn't get any blood. He will feel satisfied after your done eating. Sam don't drain humans or I can't reverse this." She said.
Sam's eyes widened, "He is going to want blood now too?" She asked, shocked. "How am I supposed to feed if I can't drink humans?" She asked. "I could only drink a little, not enough to turn them, like I did with Danny, would that be alright?" She asked, wondering where on earth she would get blood from. James shook his head, this wasn't good. They had a hybrid vampire and a starlighter with a blood lust. How were they going to keep Sam sated when she could only drink Danny's blood, or other humans?
"Well yes but if you feed he won't need it." She said. "What I mean is you can't kill a human. If you kill a human or anything except animals you will be a vampire a full one. Not a hybrid. As for Danny he might go crazy and ask you to bite him but it isn't him talking it's the connection he has with you." She looked at Danny.Danny laid there. His heart started to slow down. "Princes where are you." He asked. He opened his eyes. There were a light crimson color. His mouth hurt a lot. He needed something to drank.
"Um you know how I said how a blood bond normally works. Well he has no more magic." Calla gulped. "I think he's a full vampire."
Sam swallowed hard. She ran over to Danny and opened his mouth gently. Sure enough, he had fangs now like her. "I-I'm here Danny." She whispered. She knew he would need blood if he was a full vampire. And he would need it soon. She was more than willing to give him her own if it came to that. "Are you feeling ok?" she asked him.Correction, now we have a vampire, and a mostly vampire hybrid... James sighed, "How on earth are we going to feed the both of them?" He asked. "Is there any vampire shopping mall or something where we could get artificial blood?"
Danny looked around confused. "Princess why can't I feel my magic." He looked around. He felt something burning his throat. "I can't feel my magic." He said urgently. He looked at her neck. He stared at it. His mouth hurt. He saw blood veins moving. He kept looking at it. "No there isn't any place." She looked at James. "I don't know what to do. There connection must of been stronger than I thought it was. All we have to do is kill the vampire that turned Sam and all the vampires he turned will be back to normal. Sam would you want us to kill the vampire that turned you."
Sam turned to Calla, "Please do not kill anyone. I don't want you to kill anyone. Please."Sam turned to Danny again and nodded "You're a vampire." She watched where his gaze had gone and she realized what he wanted. She pulled him into a hug and tilted her head a bit, exposing her neck to him. "Drink." she said firmly, "I owe it to you." She said honestly, still feeling bad for attacking him earlier.
James sighed, "So we can't do anything at all? We just have to let them attack other humans?" He asked. "Are you sure there is no way to get artificial blood?" He asked. He knew that would be the much better option if it existed.
"I know but we need you guys to be back to normal as soon as possible. I have to make sure you guys don't stay like this forever." She said looking at her."I would be killing him for breaking the rules of making an hybrid. He would know the rules by now. He has to know them or whoever it is. Please tell me Sam. It's either let James and I kill him or the council they would kill you guys too. So please let me help you I don't want them to know. They will kill you." She said. She turned to James. "We have to get them to return to normal. There isn't any thing." She said looking at him.He didn't want to hurt her. But it looked so good. He smelt the blood in his nose. He leaned forward and bit down. He didn't realize he let things out to stop the pain. He didn't realize he was taking blood from her. It was so good. He forgot to process that he was a vampire now. He backed away."I feel empty." He whispered.
Sam felt heat fill her body as he released the hallucinogens from his fangs. His bite felt nice, and she leaned against him. When he pulled away, she shivered slightly. She was hurt that Danny still felt empty after drinking her blood. They were connected so it should have rejuvenated him better than any other blood would. she felt hurt that it had not helped him, and that he did not like it. She accidentally sent these thoughts to Danny. She looked down, her eyes flashing red briefly. She needed to feed again, as she was still young and Danny had just taken a lot of her blood. "I need to go feed." She told them quietly. "Calla, please don't kill anyone for now. I need to think about this before making a decision." she said, before running off with her super-speed to find blood.
James sighed, "Shall we go back Calla? It doesn't look like we can do anything else for them for now."
"No Sam you have to...." She looked at James. "We have to find her the council is here looking for the vampires. That's why I wanted to find the vampire so they don't kill Sam and Danny." She looked at Danny. "You will you don't have no magic." He nodded his head. He felt heart by her thoughts. He looked down feeling like crying. "Will they kill Sam."
"Yes they will that's why we have to find her."
Sam traveled until she found a lone hiker. She snuck up behind them, sinking her fangs into the soft skin on their neck. She released the hallucinogen to keep them happy and pain-free as she drank her fill. She stopped well before they were at the risk of dying or turning, and quickly healed them, wiping their mind of the encounter. She felt refreshed now, and sated for the moment. She sat down, still sad that Danny had not liked her blood. She felt he was rejecting her by rejecting her life force.James nodded, he began flying around looking for Sam. "Why would they kill the vampires? I thought the council was alright with vampires..." He said slowly.
"They are but the vampire who turned Sam made a hybrid. That's against the law. We need to find Sam and the one that turned her because if we don't the council will kill her and Danny. " she looked at Danny."Sam will be ok and so will you." She said. "She's upset with me because I backed away. She thought I was rejecting her. I don't have my power." He whispered.
James lips tightened, "Danny, you might want to go after her and explain how you really feel yourself then, before she does something stupid. She has a reason to be upset, right now, and you need to change that." He said honestly and somewhat firmly. Sam got up slowly. She heard a noise in the bush behind her and immediately leapt to attention. A figure stepped out of the shadows, slashing her with a sword. She hissed, backing up, her eyes turning crimson. The cut they had caused her healed on its own, and she crouched, ready to attack. The figure advanced, swinging quickly. Sam decided that it wasn't worth the fight, and ran away, faster than a human eye could follow.
"Ok." He nodded his head. He ran super fast to her. "Princess please clam down. I wasn't rejecting you. I backed away because I don't have my power. I can't burn and show you how much I love you. This whole thing is my fault I should of came with you and helped you then this wouldn't of happened." He said almost crying. "You have to come back. They said the council will kill us. They want to protect us. Please Princess." He begged."We need to find who did that to them and do some type of reverse spell so we don't have to kill the vampire." She looked at James. "If the council lays a hand on them I will be mad. I did not agree for them to do this. I do understand hunting them for breaking the laws but they have to go to us."
Sam paused, the red in her eyes changing back to blue. She nodded slowly, "Ok. I'm sorry for judging why you backed away." she said softly, "I just felt like you didn't want my help and..." She sighed. She didn't finish saying Therefore you didn't want me... "I thought you might like my blood, because well... I loved yours. And you biting me felt really nice too."She admitted, blushing, "So when you didn't feel that way about me, I guess I just..." She was trying to explain it to him. "We may not be able to burn for eachother, but that doesn't mean we can't still show our love in this form. Vampires do fall in love you know. There are other ways." She smiled a little bit at that.James shook his head, "That's what I don't understand. Sam didn't do anything wrong, neither did Danny, so why would they want to kill them?"
Danny blushed. "But I liked my powers I don't want to be this way. I hate being this. I don't want this. I want everything to be normal." He said looking at her."Because they fear vampires. No matter how many treaties we make things will get worse. I know how to bring Sam back for sure. But Danny I'm not sure about. I'm worried that the Vampire Princess will go to war or pick one of the new vampires as a mate. If she picked Danny as a mate. All heck will break loose."
Sam looked down, "That's where you and I are different. I do not care what form I am in, as long as I have you." she said seriously. "To tell you the truth, after having the same powers for hundreds of years, the switch is nice." She admitted. She didn't want to tell him that she had really enjoyed him biting her. It was a new twist on the kisses they had shared and it felt incredibly good. Not to mention that his blood had tasted better than anything she had tried before. She blushed, looking down, when she realized what she was thinking.James nodded, "That would not be good. I know Sam would probably kill a couple hundred people if that ever happened. How do we turn Sam back for sure? We don't know how many vampires have gotten her blood by now..."
He looked at her. He couldn't do that. He didn't want to hurt her. "I'm sorry Princess I can't be this. I don't want to be this. I want to have my power back I want to be who I am. This isn't me." He said looking down. "I'm not a vampire. I'm a starlighter." "No the thing is there was only one vampire who got her blood. The one who did that is the one who turned her. So if we could find it and do a reverse spell then everything will be ok unless...."
Sam looked up at him, desperate to make him understand, "It doesn't matter what you are Danny, I fell in love with who you are Danny, not with what you are. You have to remember that I started dating a human, married a starlighter, and now you're a vampire. It doesn't matter what you are to me, as long as who you are stays the same." She said quietly. She was hurting, but she didn't tell him that. Her throat started to burn again. "I have to go." She whispered, leaving again to find another human.James tensed, "Unless?" He asked, worried now. "Unless what?"
Danny watch her leave. "It matters to me what I am. I'm not going to pretend to be a vampire and enjoy it." He whispered. He sat down looking at the ground. He was heart broken. "Unless if Sam doesn't want to be turned back." She whispered.
Sam was crying now. She didn't find any humans so she settled for a rabbit instead. Danny probably thought she was a monster for liking being a vampire. It was true, she enjoyed it. She had been a starlighter for such a long time that she was itching for a change. At first she had not liked it, but it was growing on her. Maybe Danny and I weren't meant to be together after all. If he doesn't want me anymore, I'll understand.... I guess.James' eyes widened. "Why would she not want to be turned back? Do you think she likes being a vampire?"
He was listening into her thoughts. How could she think that? How could she think that he didn't want her? He never said that. He looked at the sky. This always happened. To every girl he ever liked. He ran back to Calla and James. "Find away to turn me back now." He was angry. "Next time I fall for a witch I will kill them." Tears were coming down his face. "What's wrong?" Calla asked. "Danny what did Sam do?"
"I was listening into her thoughts. She said,Maybe we weren't meant to be together. And some other things too." He looked at them. "Change me back."
James swallowed, he could tell that things weren't going well for Danny and Sam. He knew Danny probably shouldn't have just listened into her thoughts, but he wasn't going to reprimand him when he was angry like this. Instead, he just looked down. Sam curled up. She was scared. She was scared of what life would be like on her own if Danny left her. She loved him, and knew she always would. She wanted him to love her back, no matter what. But he had proven that his dislike for vampires was stronger than his love for her.
"All I said was I didn't want to be a vampire that I wanted to be starlighter and she said she wanted to stay a vampire and she left. She left me. She says it doesn't matter what I'm to her. I know that but I'm not a vampire though I'm a Starlighter and I beginning to think that i should of just killed her when we meant." He was crying . "You have to turn me back." "I don't know how to. If we turn Sam back then you most likely will be turned back but since she doesn't want to be turned back then you would stay." She looked at him. "James we have to get him to the vampire palace. It's the only safe place for him."
Sam dried her tears, trying to convince herself that he would never really leave her. She closed her eyes and searched for her friends, to see how they were doing. She found them just in time to hear Danny say I'm beginning to think that I should have just killed her when we met... Sam swallowed hard, her eyes opening again. "So that's how he really feels about me." She whispered, tears welling up in her eyes. She was frozen with sorrow when the collar snapped around her neck from behind. She jumped up, hissing, but was yanked down again by the collar as someone clubbed her again and again until she fell unconscious. James nodded, "I agree. We should take him there now, and then figure out how to change them both back." He wasn't going to say, "or just one of them" because he knew that might upset Danny.
"Sam." He heard her. He ran over to where she was. "Sam baby." He found a club and blood. "Princess where are you. Princess where are you." He was shaking.Calla followed Danny."James she was taken by something." Calla was in shock.
"Princess please don't leave me. I'm sorry I didn't mean that. I was upset. Princess don't leave me."
"Danny clam down." She shook her head. "James I don't know what to do."
Sam was still knocked senseless, and didn't know what was going on. Her wounds had healed on their own from the clubbing, but she needed blood, she was still a young vampire and needed it constantly for the first couple days.James frowned, looking at the club and the blood in the snow. There were no tracks. "Who, or what got her either teleported or flew away, there aren't any tracks." He closed his eyes, searching, "They aren't traceable either, we are going to have to find them the hard way." He stated, "Danny, try to connect with her mind and ask her where she is."
He shook his head. "Nothing." He was shaking to badly to concentrate."don't leave me Princess I'm sorry." He whispered. "James the club looked like it was used or by dwarfs. So that means the werewolves are experimenting on vampires or warlocks. Someone that sides with dwarfs. We have to talk to the Vampire Princess." She teleported to the Vampire Princess. She could since something familiar as they waited. Then she opened the door. Then it clicked. "James it makes sense now." The Princess looked like Sam.
Sam woke up slowly, she was groggy. She didn't understand where she was, and she couldn't see very clearly, because she was low on blood. Her throat was burning, and she moaned softly. James stared at the Princess suspiciously, "Why does the vampire princess look like Sam?" He asked.
Danny looked up and stared at the Princess. "Sam?" He was very confused. "I don't know but whoever took Sam must of thought that she was the Princess." She whispered. "Hello Princess I'm Calla and this is my husband James."
"I know who you are how do I know if you are who you say you are." The Princess stared at them.
"She even sounds like her." She whispered. "Simple." She transferred into a beautiful blue dress with ruffles all over. A diamond necklace with her tiara. "I am the queen. Now we a problem here."
"What's the problem."
"Well my friend looks just like you and she was turned this afternoon. She was a starlighter and so was her husband. Over there. They had a big enough connection to turn him to full one. Anyways the council took things in there own hands. They are hunting the vampire who did that and they want to kill all the vampires he turned. We need to get to them and our friend has been taken. We need your help."
Someone was scowling at Sam, a man, by the looks of it, and he wasn't happy. Sam tried to get away from him, but she realized that she couldn't move at all. "Hello princess." He grinned, "You will do as I say, understand?"Sam was confused, she didn't know what he meant.
The man slapped her across the face. "I asked you if you understood!" He shouted.
Sam nodded weakly, scared, hurt, and low on blood. She started to cry.
James nodded, agreeing with everything Calla had said. "Do you think you can help us?" He asked hesitantly.
Danny couldn't help but stare at him. She was so beautiful. He felt so bad for yelling at her. He forgot about the thirst. As he looked at her. He felt like he would do anything for her. "Yeah I will help you on one condition." Looking at the new vampire. He was so helplessly in love with her. Even though she wasn't the person who he thought she was. "I keep the boy." She smiled.
Calla looked at James and gulped. "James what should we do."
"You are going to give me your kingdom. Everything you own. Ok?""What kingdom?" Sam asked, shaking. She couldn't do much else as she was tied up.
The man punched her across the face. "You stupid girl! You know very well what I mean!" He screamed, punching her again for good measure.
Sam started to sob, she couldn't help herself. She had never been so scared in her life. And this time, Danny wasn't going to save her.
James swallowed hard, "You either save Sam's life, or break her heart..." He said softly. "I don't know. I really don't know."
Danny looked at her. He smiled and meant her gaze. "Yes." She said.
"That's fantastic." She smiled. "Come here Danny." He smiled. She wasn't mad at him. "How are you doing." He knew what he had to do. He bow down to his Princess.
"Fine my majesty." He looked up at her neck. It looked so good.
"Now help us,"
((I'm going to be gone until 9:00 tonight))Sam nodded, crying. "O-ok. I-I will." She didn't know what type of mess she had gotten into, but she was scared out of her wits.
The man smiled, "Yes, you will..." He grinned mockingly, pulling her to her feet, and leading her into a dark hallway.
James nodded, "Help us. Now." He said. Hoping she wouldn't back out of the deal.
((Ok))"Ok." She smiled. "Come on Charming." She teleported them to where Sam was. "Is this your friend?"
"Sam." She teleported in there and took the collar off of with magic. "I will explain later don't be mad." They left before the guy could say anything. "Thank you for helping."
"Your welcome now go." Danny sat looked at the Princess.
"Princess." He smiled and bow down at her. Looking at the Princess neck
"Yes Charming."
Sam smiled gratefully, glad to be rid of the collar. Then she saw how Danny was acting around the princess. Sam took a closer look and gasped. Memories that had been erased from her mind by her parents, came back in an instant "You!" She screamed, her face paling even more than it already was. She tried to lunge at the princess, but she stumbled because she was weak after not having blood for so long. She looked between Danny and her, anger contorting her face as tears streamed down her cheeks. Danny looked like he actually wanted the princes's neck. She almost sobbed. He hadn't wanted hers, and she thought it was just because he didn't like vampires. But now she realized that it was just because he didn't like... her. Sam got up again, trying once more to lunge at the princess, wanting to wring her neck. "You! How dare you! You ruined my life once, and now this!? Why? Why did you have to exist?"James was shocked, "You know each other?" He asked, looking between the two almost identical girls.
"Sam clam down. I'm sorry if I did something wrong but I had to chose between two things here him or you. I choose you. He was going crazy you know. He thought you wanted to leave him. He's only under the Princess's control because she controls all vampires. Not hybrids." She said to her. "Please clam down." "Oh you haven't told them my dear sister. It looks like Charming here likes me more." She smiled. "Come on I know you want some." He smiled and looked up at her. He bit her neck. Then backed away.
"I love you Princess."
"I love your more."
"No I love you most."
"Danny listen to us. That's not Sam. Sam is over by us. Sam needs you. She doesn't even know you like Sam does." She looked at Sam. "What are we going to do. He thinks she is you.and she is letting him think that." She looked at both Sam and James.
Sam started crying heavily when he bit her, sobs shaking her body. She closed her eyes, she couldn't watch. She couldn't watch Danny doing what she wanted most with someone else. She couldn't watch this, not again. She hated having a twin, and this was why. Then she heard what they said. "No!" Sam screamed, her body shaking violently. She was weak because she was low on blood, and her hysteria was not making anything better. She fell to her knees, sobbing. "No." She whispered weakly, hanging her head in defeat.
James was shocked. Of course they were twins, how else could they look so alike? But why had Sam not told them? Regardless, the fact that her sister was a vampire probably explained why Sam enjoyed being a vampire so much herself. "What do we do now?"
"You know what my King I think this dear Princess broke a few laws don't you think so." Follow my league "To name a few is pretending to be someone your not. Danny doesn't love you. He loves Sam. You know nothing about him. You don't know why he calls her Princess. You weren't there. You don't know how she almost died how he put up barriers to protect himself the pain. Your not her and that's against the law. Next black mailing the King and Queen is wrong by my laws and the humans. Thirdly harboring a criminal and not doing nothin about it not teaching them the laws. If I had to appoint a new queen it would be my best friend Sam."Danny backed away. "Princess knows why I call hew that don't you?" He asked.
"Yes we were trapped and you figured out I was a Princess." He looked at her confused.
"No we trapped by the giant trees. And I was being very sarcastic. They were going to kill you and I didn't want them to because I would have no one to argue with. Why did I put the barriers up?"
"Because I hurt you."
"No because you were in the hospital and you were in a hit and run accident and I blamed myself." He backed away from her. "Your not Sam are you?"
Sam was growing weaker and weaker by the second. She needed blood, and hadn't had any for a long while. If she had a beating heart, it would have been broken by now. She slumped against the floor, her tears leaking onto the tiles as she slowly closed her eyes. Danny didn't love her anymore. He wanted her sister more than her. He wished he had killed her when he met her. James watched not sure what to do. He was proud of Calla for handling things, and he just stood by her, ready to defend her if necessary. He knew she was making the right decision. "For these reasons." He continued, "We arrest you in the name of the law."
"Danny listen Sam's over there. That's not Sam that's her sister." "Don't listen to her Charming."
"What's my dragons name?"
"Beast?"
He ran over to Sam. "Princes baby Sam I'm right here." He held her to against his body, "I'm sorry I didn't know." He whispered. "Take some." He begged her.
"James what should the punishment to be. Wait a minute. I have this theory James please put your input. Let's say you turned Sam to get away from people who want you knowing they will think she is her. Knowing that there will be a human to be your scape goat. That adds to your crimes."
Sam opened her eyes a crack and smiled, shaking her head weakly, no. She wasn't going to take his blood. He didn't like vampires, so she wasn't going to do it. She leaned against him, nuzzling her nose into his shoulder, but being careful to keep her mouth away from his neck. She wasn't going to hurt him. She knew he didn't want it. He didn't want her anymore. Her muscles slowly loosened as she grew weaker. James nodded, "Yes, that sounds like a very probable theory. As for punishment, I can not think of one that you would justly deserve for the atrocities you have committed. Calla, what shall we do with her?"
He felt his eyes closing."We have to keep him awake so he doesn't fall asleep if he does he'll form a blood bond with her." She whispered.
