Once Upon A Time and Lara

I'm here darling.
Are you ok?
Oh look who's suddenly worried. Why the shift?
Because you didn't kill any of my friends, and I know you very well could have. You didn't kill James. Why?
There was a long silence.
Why?!?
Do I need to answer that dear?
"No." Sam whispered, "No you don't."
James nodded, "I'd like that." He made a deck of cards and began dealing them.

No! No, please don't. If not for me, then at least for the sake of my friends. Sam pleaded.
We'll see.
Sam got up and flew back into the castle, searching for Danny.
"No problem." He handed out all the cards, "All right, you can go first I guess."

"Go fish." he smiled, "Do you have a queen of spades?"

"Go fish." She said with a smile. She was having fun.

James smiled, picking up a card, "Ok. Your turn."

"Do you have a Jack?" She asked.

James smiled and nodded, handing her over two Jacks, "You know I'm purposely letting you win... right?"

She nodded her head slowly. "Sure you are. If your letting me then I guess you don't want the prize that the winner gets." She smiled.

James raised one brow, "Prize?" He asked.

"Well in that case, I don't mind losing and letting you get that prize." He grinned.

"Hmm that's only if you win." She glared at him."If I win you will have to take me out on a normal date."

"And if I win because you let me win I will not talk to you for a week." She gave him and evil glare. But she couldn't help but smile.

James frowned, "Ok, not fair. I'm trying now." He grinned.

James grinned, "So, do you have a nine?"

She smiled. "Here you are." Handing him the nine.

James smiled, putting his pair down, "Thank you. Do you have a two?"

She frowned and handed him over the two.

So that no one would break it, obviously. Now stop contacting me.
Whatever. Thanks a lot. You ruined my life.
You're welcome. Sam shook her head and dove under the water. She hated her mother so much. She came up again and smiled a little at Danny, "Are you all right?" She asked.
James grinned, "Who's winning now?" He gave her a cocky smile. "Do you have a..... four?"

"Go fish." She smiled and laughed.

James picked up a card, rolling his eyes, "Are you sure you're not cheating?" He grinned, teasing her.

"Do you have a nine?" She asked grinning.

"Now I know you're cheating." James grinned, "I asked for your nines two turns back... how do you still have one?" He handed her his nine never the less.

"I could ask you the same thing if you had a nine too and how come you didn't put that down with the other nine. Who's says I didn't just pick this up?"

James grinned, "You haven't picked up any since that last nine..." He laughed, "Ok, so what if we're both cheating. It's just a game right? I'll still win." He grinned over at her.

"Let's make a deal." She grinned and moved over and sat on his lap. "Let's call it a draw. That means we both win because we both cheated." She smiled a bit. "That means we both get our prizes." She looked up at him. She started to draw shapes on his chest.

James grinned and closed his eyes, enjoying her touch for a moment, "Sounds like a pretty good deal to me." he said, opening one eye to smile at her.

She smiled."I know it is." She said not stopping to drawing shapes on him. She blushed a little. She kissed his cheek. Hoping that would tease him.

"Mmmmm." It took a whole lot of self-control to keep him from just pulling her closer and kissing her, but he wanted her to keep drawing.

She smiled. She soon stopped and yet again kissing him on the cheek. She pushed away drawing again.

Want me to activate it?
No! No, please please no.
Well since you said please.... But if you contact me one more time I wont answer, I'll just say those magic words and poof, curse turns on.
Sam was trembling. There was nothing she could do.
James couldn't take it anymore. "Time to claim my prize." He whispered, before leaning over and kissing her.

She smiled. She moved closer to him. She kissed back softly.

James wrapped his arms around her and pulled her closer, kissing her back a little harder.

Calla wrapped her arms around his neck. She kissed harder. She pushed against his body. Absorbing the kiss.

James held her gently, yet firmly, kissing her harder now. She felt so good in his arms.

Her mother turned from her stool, smiling a little, "I knew you'd come. Finally split you and your husband apart, did it? Couldn't keep back your secret for long?"
"Take it off." Sam growled.
Her mother frowned, "I think not. I told you not to bother me again. Now you will pay the price."
Sam backed up, her eyes widening, "No you can't, don't harm him!"
Her mother shrugged "Fine, I'll just activate the part that involves you." She muttered something under her breath. "Bye bye Samantha. I'd say it was nice knowing you... but it wasn't." She smiled wickedly.
Sam screamed as the curse took effect, but her voice was quickly silenced as she turned to stone.
James pulled away, smiling. He looked into her eyes, "I love you."

Danny woke up. "Sam? Baby?"

Sam's mother tapped her motionless face and smiled. "Ever heard the saying as dead as a rock? Well you put a whole new truth into that my dear." She chuckled, "You're stone cold too. Too bad you didn't listen to me..." She smiled, "Well, I gotta run. See you around honey. You'll make a beautiful addition to my garden when I get back, what with you being just a stone carving now..." She chuckled and flew out the window.

Danny laid there confused.

James just stood there, staring at the stone statue that looked eerily like Sam. He traced his finger over her hand, "It can't be. Is this actually you?" He asked her even though he knew he was just talking to stone.

Danny was confused.

James felt really bad for Sam. What was he going to tell Danny? Um sorry, but your wife is now a statue? Danny, you better get over here, quick. James thought to him.
"I know. There is nothing I can do." She smiled. "We can relax and play card game. Like go fish."
