Once Upon A Time and Lara

James watched as they hooked Calla up. I'm still here for you. He told her encouragingly. He sat down in a chair in the corner of the room, trying to be quiet so they would let him stay.

Doctor saw that he went to a chair. He just left. Calla laid there. She opened her eyes. The nurse was still there checking vitals."Where is James? I want James." Her heart was beating very fast.
"Clam down." They gave her a shot.
"James where is her?" She drifted off into a deep sleep.

James watched Calla sleep. He hated to see her like this, but she had to get better.

"Hello Mrs.Jones your sister is fine. Her surgery went well. No complications. She is on a lot of medicine to make her body to relax and for the pain. She can't have visitors either though her husband was is in there. She begs for him. She just needs to relax."
She fought the sleep. "James where is he. I need him." She closed her eyes and slept.

James moved over to her bed and sat down, holding her hand. "I'm right here." He said soothingly.

"Your welcome." The doctor left.
"See baby she is fine."
"James." She smiled and went to sleep.

"I know you want to leave. Is there anything that needs to be healed right away." He asked.
She drifted off into a sleep. She awoke. "James what happened. I remember getting put to sleep again."

"On me? Or on Calla?" Sam asked.
"You started freaking out there for a bit." He said honestly. "You had internal bleeding, and they needed to do another surgery. It's over now." he said gently.

"James I love.." She fell asleep again. She was so peaceful and clam. Her body relaxed.

James smiled, squeezing her hand, "I love you too."

She need this to relax. Her monitor was going off. Time for new medicine. She woke up little groggy. "James do see the pretty colors." She asked.
"I'm sorry like the doctor said she will be a little out of it with this medicine. All it matters is body is relaxing." She put more medicine in and left.

James nodded to the nurse. he sat by Calla's bed, holding her hand. He would be there for her through this.

"James did you see the pretty colors?" She looked at him for awhile. She was growing sleepy. She let a yawn out.

James smiled, "No I didn't, but I'm sure they looked beautiful." He said, knowing full well that she wasn't herself.

"They are pretty. Why can't you see them?" Growing more drowsy. She let another yawn.

James smiled, "I don't know, guess I'm not looking hard enough." He fixed her shirt collar which had folded over. "Get some rest Calla." He said gently.

She nodded her head. She closed her eyes and fell asleep. She smiled. Her body wasn't tensed. The doctor came in.
"As you can tell the surgery went well? She will be here for awhile though. In couple days she we will give some food. The medicine will take away her appetite. She will be out of it. Other that make sure she doesn't tense up or get stressed."

James nodded. "Ok. Thank you. How long do you think before she can be released?" He asked, chewing his lip a bit.

"It might be from anywheres from 2 weeks to 2 months." He answered honestly. "Thats if nothing happens to her. Her condition is stable for now, but it might not last for long. She wasn't suppose to make it this far." He said honestly. "Basically your wife is a fighter. We will know if she will live in a couple days."

James nodded, looking down for a moment. "Ok. Thank you for the heads up." He said slowly, looking back at Calla lying in the bed. Please get better soon.

Calla laid there sleeping peacefully.

James looked up, "They won't know for the next couple of days. She's stable now, but that could change..." He sighed.

Calla laid there for awhile longer. "James did you see the dancing elves?" She asked with a smile.

"No I didn't." He said gently. "How are you doing honey?"

"You haven't seen the elves there very funny James." She giggled. "I'm just a little tired." She paused. "Why can't you see the dancing elves?"

James smiled gently, "Probably because the doctors wont let me have any of those drugs they're giving you." He said calmly. "Do you need anything? Do you want me to get you anything?"

"No I'm fine." Her breathing slow down. She was soon asleep again. She smiled.

James held her hand and leaned back in his chair. He hoped desperately that she would be alright.

She opened her eyes rested. She yawned. "James I have this awful headache." She whispered.

"I'm sorry to hear that." He said gently. "Is there anything I can do to help?"

"James does this medicine make me go crazy?" Her eyes glazed over. "Vision." She stammered. Her scene change. She saw his dad. He joined up with the hunters. He got explained what happened. He nodded his head and he followed their trail. It was gone. Her heart monitor was going crazy. "James your dad is coming. He found us." The nurse came in. "No please no." She started screaming. The nurse left and gave her a shot. "James no this can't be the end." She was fighting of the drowsiness.

"No it's not. We will be ok, I promise." He told her. "Just relax for now." He instructed. "Every time you freak out, they will knock you out again." He warned.

The doctor came in."He is right you need to relax."
"I was perfectly fine until you guys gave me a shot." She was asleep now.
He checked everything. "She's ok for now. The stress is not good for her. She has to be able to relax."

James nodded, "Ok. Thanks doc. I am trying to keep her relaxed."

Calla fell back under the trance of the medicine. She opened her eyes. "James the elves all gone." She frowned. "Now there is pretty faires flying around. I don't like faires they are mean." She looked up at him smiling.

James smiled, "Ok honey." He told her gently, holding her hand.
Sam's head suddenly felt fuzzy. "Danny did they turn on the morphine agai-" Her eyes started to glow. You are going to listen to me, understand?
"No." Sam said aloud.
Then I will make your heart speed up again, and trust me, your boyfriend wont be able to stop it this time. Sam's heart started pounding again.
"No!" She shouted.
So you will do as I say?

"James faries are evil they work with siren." She started to swatted at them. "James tell them to stop sticking their tongues out." She asked him.

The voice in her head chuckled, An old friend.
Sam quieted. "What?"
Don't remember me? Sam recognized the voice. She knew who it was. The dark witch needs you.
"You work for her? You work for Calla's aunt!?"
But of course. I would only work for the winning side. Now are you going to listen to me, or not?
"No."
Sam's heart immediately started pounding faster and faster until a sharp pain ran through her whole body. She cried out.
James laughed softly. "Ok." He said, deciding to play along with her. "Stop you evil fairies." He said, suppressing a chuckle.

"They won't stop." She said. "Make them stop." The elves came back. "James the dancing elves are back." She giggled.

A pity. What if I threatened the life if your husband?
Sam gasped. "You wouldn't!"
Can, and will. Now hurry up and make a decision or he dies.
"Ok. You can do it."
That's my girl.
James smiled, watching her. At least she seemed happy.

"Elves say that Sam's being controlled by something evil." She stopped giggling. "James you have to go save her." She said. "Stopped it faries this isn't funny."

Let go, honey. Open your mind and let go.
Sam did as she was asked, trembling slightly. She felt something enter her mind. It shoved her to the back and started to strangle her. She didn't fight. She knew what was happening. She let it happen to save Danny's life. She slowly faded into the back of her mind, and her world went dark.
When Sam's eyes opened, surveying the hospital room, they were not as bright blue. Their color had shifted slightly, to a darker grey.
James chuckled and shook his head. He knew Calla was just hallucinating, and so Sam was probably not actually in any danger.

"Sam's turned James. Something's wrong. The elves say so." She looked at him.
"James I know you think Calla is crazy. She is about the elves. She turned something tells me she'll coma after Calla. She would be an easy victim. Her aunt played this thing out." He said it really fast.

Sam straightened in her bed, ripping out the IV and morphine needles. She stood slowly, ripping off the brace on her arm as well. Her eyes were cold now, glittering cold. She looked around, trying to sense her targets. She smiling grimly, and started to walk through the hospital.

"James the elves ran away." She frowned. "Bye." She waved to the elves. "Stop you stupid faries. James told you to stop."

Sam walked past a surgeons table and discretely grabbed a knife off of it. She walked into Calla's room, surveying the sorry group with a cold eye. She almost chuckled. Finishing this job had been too easy. I already got one down. Just three left to go...
She pounced onto Calla's bed, whipping out the knife "You first."

"Hi Sam." She said. She felt a dark presence come over her. She looked up at Sam. "What are you doing Sam."
Danny nodded his head."How is she?"
"Well she was rushed into surgery to stop some internal bleeding. She should be ok. Either though risks of dying is high." The doctor left the room.
Calla was so tried. She heard noises come from every direction. After a while the rolled her back. She heard a voice. "I'm sorry to say sir,but she can't have visitors for awhile. She is on a lot of medicine to make her body relax and for the pain. When she wakes up she might be out of it. You can stand out her room and watch." The nurses came in and plug in the medicines.
