Once Upon A Time and Lara

Danny teleported back to Sam. "Princess I'm back sweetheart."

Sam was lying on the beach, unconscious. The long visit with Calla's parents took its toll on her.

Sam moaned softly and her eyes fluttered open. She smiled weakly. "How did it go?"

"Princess she is back to normal. She is ok. She forgot everything. She took her brothers death better now ."

Sam relaxed. "That's a relief."

"Now we can sit back and relax." He said with a smile.

"Are you ok?" He asked looking down at her,

"Yeah, just a little weak, that's all." She promised.

"You sure." He couldn't lose her.

Sam nodded, even though her muscles were shaking. "Yeah. I'll be ok." She said quietly.

"I love you too." She looked up at him, smiling. "Did we not sleep at all last night? I suddenly feel exhausted."

"I don't everybody was worried about Calla."

"Yeah. I think I am going to go to bed for a while." Sam said, walking into the cottage and lying down on the bed. "I'll just take a quick nap." She went right to sleep.

"Ok." He smiled and relaxed for awhile.

The second she fell asleep, Sam dreamed she was in a different world. She saw Josh, Calla's parents, her own parents, and everyone else who had died. They noticed her and walked over, asking what she was doing there. Sam didn't know. Suddenly she felt as if something was choking her. She felt like she was being strangled. She woke up was a start, her hand around her throat. She couldn't breathe at all.

Calla froze. "James something wrong with Sam. We have to check on them." She grabbed his hand and teleported them to their honeymoon spot. She ran into the cottage to find Danny crying.

"What are you doing here?" Josh asked again.
Sam just shook her head, she couldn't talk. She couldn't breathe. Something was terribly wrong. Starlighters shouldn't be able to come here. They never really died.
"Sam?" Josh asked again, "Are you ok? What happened?"
Sam clawed at her throat, trying to pull away whatever was strangling her. Why am I with the dead? I can't die.

"Princess wake up. Wake up. You got to." He kissed her again and didn't back away.
"She isn't breathing." Calla looked at James. "I don't know. She isn't suppose to be able to die."

Sam collapsed against the ground. She was growing weaker. She sent a thought message to Josh. I can't breath. It's like I'm dying, but I can't die, I'm a starlighter.
"Yeah." Josh agreed. "Which is why I can't believe that you are here." He thought for a moment.
Sam curled up into a ball on the ground, she was starting to black out.
Josh bit his lip and his jaw clenched, "You brought someone back from the dead yourself, didn't you? You brought Mom and Dad back without the help of the stick?"
Sam nodded weakly.
Josh said something under his breath angrily, "You may have trapped half of yourself here Sam. This isn't good. You won't survive with half of yourself here and half of yourself there."
Sam winced as a painful shock ran through her body. I'm dying. I'm actually dying.

"Come on wake-up." Danny kept looking at Sam.
"James it's out best option. You have to make sure he doesn't give up. We have little time to do it."

Sam's vision was clouding. The pain in her body was intensifying. Someone help me! She jerked in pain and tried to curl up in a tighter ball. Josh winced and looked down, "I wish there was something I could do for you." He said sadly.

"Princess wake up."

Sam felt another spasm run through her body. She saw someone standing near her. Calla? Calla is here? It was Calla. Calla! Help me! Sam begged. She flinched as another shock stung her body.
Josh turned, "What is with you guys? Is it all of a sudden cool to hang out with the dead? What ever happened to rest in peace?" He joked, he wanted to try and lighten the mood.

"Hey that is not a nice way to greet me." She kneeled down to Sam. "Who was the smart genius who let her bring we people back without any help? " She paused. "Sam your soul is being sucked out of you. Your body knows it's not time. Which cause a lot of conflict. I don't know what to do. But I will figure something out." She looked at her brother for some help.

Ok. But please hurry. Sam said. She jerked again. It hurt so much.
Josh shrugged, "Don't look at me. I can't use magic anymore. You have to put her together again. You better hope her body is still alive."

"It was alive. Her breaths were done. Her body is alive full of magic. How am I suppose to do that big brother." She glared at him.

Sam could suddenly breathe, and she screamed in pain. Then her breath ran out again and she was silenced.
Josh frowned, "I don't know. You would have to bind her soul to her body somehow. But do it quick, she's getting worse."

"You don't know. Would I be able to call her back to her body?" She looked at Sam. "Listen to me. Think about Danny. He sitting at your side calling for you." She looked back at Josh."I don't know. I never really study this kind of things. Most of things I know are from experience."

Sam tried to concentrate, but she couldn't focus, not with the shocks that were attacking her more frequently now.
"You might be able to, but it doesn't look like she'll be able to help with that." Josh said, eyeing Sam with worry. "Usually when someone attempts to bring back the dead, even for a while, they end up binding their soul here. Maybe you could break that bond."

"Your not helping at all. I don't know what to do. Ok I came here to save her and I can't save her. Is mom and dad around do they know how to break the bond. Do you know how to?"

Josh nodded, "You have to go into her mind and find the bond tied around her soul. Then cut it." He said, as if it was the simplest thing in the world.
Sam's face creased as another shock hit her body. They were coming on fast now. She didn't know how much more she would be able to take. Calla! Please! Please, please, hurry.

"Well sorry for not knowing." She rolled her eyes. She went into her mind. She saw the bond. She walked to it. She was thrown from it. She opened her eyes."It's blocked."

Josh raised a brow, "Blocked? Can you break through what ever is blocking it?"
The shocks were blending together they were so frequent. Sam shuddered. She wouldn't last much longer. Try again Calla! Please. I will try to help you.

"I will try again. I don't know what she is blocking." She closed her eyes again. She went back to the bond. The blockage was strong. She looked at it. She walked closer to the block. She teleported herself over to it and cut it. She teleported back and then open her eyes."I cut it. Is it working."

Sam felt something changing. The pain stopped. She sat up. "Why am I not going back?"
Josh looked down, "You may have been too late."
"No!" Sam said, "No, we can't be!"
Josh shrugged, "It may take a while to work, you could wait a little longer to see if you'll go back soon. It could also be because your body is dying." He offered.

"Josh do something. I can't lose her."

"I can't do anything." Josh said. "If her body is dying, someone from earth has to help it. We can't do anything."
Satisfied that Danny couldn't kill himself anymore, James went back to Sam and continued CPR. Please don't be too late.
Sam felt a strange tugging. "I think it's working." She said, "But the force isn't strong enough yet." Come on James and Danny. Don't let me die.

She didn't know what to do. "Danny is doing something. He is letting go. His magic is in the air. James tied him to help you. He is still letting go. James has to focus on you."

Josh rolled his eyes, "What is wrong with that kid? Does he not understand what happened to Sam?"
James kept working diligently on Sam. He had done all he could for Danny. Come on, come on!

"Sam no. He will be ok. I promise you that. When James knocked him out it weakened him."

"Looks like you're going back now." Josh pointed out. "Well, it was nice seeing you all."
"Thanks for your help." Sam said sincerely. "Calla, hold my hand so I can pull you back to the real world with me." She told Calla. The force was getting stronger now.
James kept pumping and breathing in intervals. He was starting to worry that he was too late. Come on. Please come back to us.

James grinned, "Welcome back." He put an arm around Calla, "I am so glad you both are safe."
Sam shivered and sighed, lying back again. She was weak, but alive. She looked over at Danny, who was tied up and sagging against the ropes. He had a blood trickling down his forehead. Sam was worried. She tried to get up to go to him, but pain in her chest stopped her and she groaned.
James pushed her back down, "Don't get up yet Sam, you're not ok yet."

"No!" Sam screamed. "Danny, stop it!" She struggled, trying to get up. Her face contorted from the pain, but she didn't give up.
James rushed over and pinned her on the bed, "Sam stop it. You'll just make yourself worse." He said.
Sam writhed beneath him, trying to get to Danny, "He's killing himself!" She screamed, "I can't let him do that! Let me go!" She struggled furiously.
James grabbed Sam's arms and pinned her down. "A little help, Calla? Can you stop Danny? Or Sam? They'll both kill themselves if they don't stop."
Calla's parent's waved, and then disappeared. Sam's light shut off, and she sighed, falling to the floor.
