Once Upon A Time and Lara
"You may say that now,but they could be anybody. So there for if a random stranger comes up to and starts talking,hugging,or kissing you they will not survive." She paused for second."I don't mean to sound like a cold blood killer. It's just your mine and they have to find there big bad witch hunter boyfriend."He turned it off."Am I suppose to feel like something is now missing?" He felt empty now.
James grinned, "I know. How close is your birthday now?" He asked, thinking about the ceremony."It happens. Being a flashlight it the way you are meant to be now." She said softly.
"I don't know. What's today's date?" She didn't know when how far her birthday is. She forgot all about it. "Well at least I don't empty around you Princess." He smiled at her.
"June 10." He replied, raising a brow. "Have you already forgotten when your own birthday is?" He joked. Sam grinned as heat rose to her face. "Aw, so charming as always." She lay back on the bed, "It's weird, I feel like I am stronger from just being around you..."
"No I just forgot what date it was." She sighed. "My birthday is on the summer equinox the most powerful day for magic. So roughly 12 days." She said with a smile."I feel stronger as well. Feel empty though. I feel a lot better than I did. I still feel a little weak." He snuggled in closer to her. "Is it normal for to feel a little tired?"
"Wow, cool birthday..." He said reverently. Inside he was a little worried. That meant he had twelve days to propose to her, and truth is, this was the first thing in his whole life (besides ghosts) that made him feel scared. "Yeah." She said, nodding and resting her head against him, "Yeah it is. That will go away with time. But we should probably take it slow this time. No walking around yet."
"Thanks it's not that cool. It was..." She couldn't tell him why she didn't like her birthday. For her tenth birthday her aunt killed her parents. She ran. No one helped her. She sometimes wonder how she survived."It would be 8years." She gulped. "That means I have to stay in bed?" He couldn't stay in bed. He wasn't that kind of person. He sighed.
"Eight years?" He asked, "Since what? What happened when you were ten?""Yeah." She nodded, "I know, but we don't want that little nightmare happening again." She shuddered, remembering the events of the morning. She looked up at him, "Hey, you've got me for company."
"Nothing happened eight years ago. I'm just babbling." She looked down at the floor. She felt bad for lying to him. "It's not a very special date to me. I dread my birthdays because of...." She should tell him. She wanted to curl up in a ball and cry."Ok. That's the bright side of things." He said with a smile.
James sat down on a chair with Calla in his lap, "It's ok, you can tell me." He said quietly. Sam smiled, "Mmhm I should hope so." She grinned.
She told herself will attempt not to cry. "Well on my tenth birthday there was an attack on a town full of witches. It was lead by my aunt. She said she stopped by for my birthday and wanted to give me a present. That present was heartbreak. She slaughter both of my parents in front of my eyes. I ran. As far as I could away from there. Then I blocked out everything after that." Tears were coming down her eyes. She didn't it want to come."You shouldn't hope that your the best thing about sitting in this bed for a while. You should know." He paused for minuets."I know your the best thing. Do I have to stay in bed?"
"I'm sorry." James said finally, letting Calla cry. "I can't make that better for you. The past is the past. You should put it behind you and move on. Do you want to forever remember it as a sad day when you parents died? Or a happy one, when you married the love of you life?" He wasn't trying to make it sound like he didn't care about her parents, because he did. He just wanted to help her get over grief.Sam smiled. She shook her head, "You can get up if you want, but you're risking another magic-coma." She said seriously. "Relax! You're supposed to be resting. Why don't you tell me your story?" She asked sweetly.
"No your right. It will be happy day." She put her head on his chest. "I'm so glad I have you." She said with a smile."Fine I will stay here. I don't have no stories Princess." He said sadly.
James smiled, "And I am glad I have you." He said, running a hand over her hair."Your past, silly. Who you were before I met you?" She prompted, "Oh come on, I know you did something for all those years."
"I love you." She felt her breathing slowing down. She closed her eyes. His heart pumping put her to sleep. "Well I really don't remember my parents. I kind of did hunting my whole life." He smiled grimly.
James smiled and leaned back, closing his eyes. Sam shuddered, nightmares of her parents and all her friends screaming came back to her in a flash. She shook her head to try and rid herself of that nightmare. She still couldn't believe Danny had been a part of that.
She drifted off into a deep sleep. She snuggle closer to James. "Is everything ok Princess?" He could see something was wrong.
James sighed, allowing his eyes to close as he and Calla fell asleep. "Yeah." She whispered, but her face was pale. She couldn't stop the flash backs. Over and over in her head she could see hunters swords chopping down her family and friends. She closed her eyes shut tight, but they continued.
"Princess you don't look ok. You look pale. You know if something bothering you can trust me." He gave a smile.She smiled. She was safe in James arms.
Sam shook her head, trying to get rid of the flashbacks, "I was hiding. I was hiding in a barrel when they came. They wore masks, but they were hunters. They killed everyone. All my friends, and I just sat in my hiding spot and watched." Sam shuddered, "I went home and found my parents..." She hid her face in Danny's arm unable to say it. "I can't stop them, the flashbacks. And I have nightmares every night."James thought about the ceremony/wedding. He had to propose soon. But how was he going to do it? He wanted it to be a surprise... But how?
He wrapped his arms around her. "Look at me now Princess. Everything is ok. I promise you that. They won't hurt you or me. Remember I can fight off those nightmares for you." He said with smile.She fluttered her eyes."James I'm bored. Do you think there is pool or hot tub, tennis court,or something fun to do around here?" She whispered.
Sam looked up at him and nodded, she knew he would be there for her. She had to try and forget about the past. Slowly she calmed down again, "Thank you." She said softly. James grinned, "There's got to be something, want to go look?"
"Your welcome Princess." He hugged her. "I promise you I won't let nothing happen to you.""I think there is a pool. Somewhere. I can sense water down the hall and to the left. Want to go check it out?" She asked with a smile.
Sam relished in the feeling of protection he gave her with his hug. "I'll hold you to that." She grinned."You bet." He stood and began walking through the hallways and down to the left like Calla had said.
"Ok."He smiled. They went the way she said to go. "Oh my." This was the biggest water place she ever seem. There was a huge pool and a hot tub. The water was crystal blue. "Can we try both the hot tub and the pool?" She was amazed by this place.
"Do you feel rested? Cause if you think you are ok now, we could go find something to do." She offered."Sounds good to me." James agreed, "But I don't have any swim-shorts." He said honestly.
"Yeah I feel rested still a little tired." He looked at her with smile. "I love you Princess." "That's an easy problem to fix." She blinked into a bikini for herself. She made swim trunks appear out of no where. "Here go. Meet you in the pool." She ran into the pool and did a big cannon ball.
Sam smiled, "Love you too, Charming." James grinned and shook his head. He quickly changed in a small room he found off the pool area. Then he dived into the pool, slipping into the water with out a splash. The water felt so good! He splashed around, laughing.
"I'm bored. I can please get up to do so something?"She swam over to James. He looked awesome without a shirt on. She didn't say anything. Her face was a beat red though. "So I wish Sam and Danny would come we could play chicken."
"Sounds good to me." Sam agreed, getting off the bed, "You think you can make it?"James noticed Calla's blush. It just made her look more beautiful. He had to force himself not to stare at her too long, "Yeah," He said, "Too bad. But for now, we can play tag." He grinned, diving under the water. He swam over to her and poked her in the arm, shouting, "You're it." Before swimming away as quickly as possible.
"Yeah." He slowly got out of the bed. He didn't feel like he would faint or anything."See ok.""Hey that's no fair." She thought two could play at that game. She pictured a big wall of water blocking James. She came swam under the wall. "Your it." She disappeared underwater really fast. She could breath underwater so she could stay here as long as she wanted.
"Great! Calla found the pool, I heard her walking down there. Do you want to join them?" She asked, smiling.James came up for air, "Are you kidding? That was cheating. I don't have any powers to help me." He swam after her. He was still strong, and so he was very fast under the water. He caught her again, swimming away, "You witches, so sneaky." He grinned.
"Sure." He walked slowly at first. He soon picked up the past. "Oh well thank but you have to better than that to catch me." She soon used the water to push her to the other end of the pool. "I can't hear you." She yelled.
James shook his head. He slid into the water, and quietly snuck up on Calla. He jumped out behind her, wrapping his arms around her, "Got you." He whispered into her ear, grinning. Sam walked down to the pool area with him and flashed herself into a bikini. She made a pair of shorts and handed them to Danny, "Go get changed, and then join us!" She said, walking over to the pool.
She leaned back. "I suppose you do." She said with a big grin. Her face turned a beat red."Oh no my capture please spare me with the best torment you have." Danny went to the room and change in the swim trunks. He came out and found Sam. "So what are we going to play. How about chicken?"
James smiled, "I was going to." He whispered, "But we have company, and they may tell us to get a room if I kissed you.""So, you guys want to play chicken?" Sam asked, James and Calla, who looked like they were about to kiss. She turned just as Danny walked over to the pool. She had to control herself to keep her jaw from dropping. She blushed, and nodded, "I was just asking them if they wanted to play that." She said. "But I'm not getting much response."
"Well that might be true. They need a room too. Did they ask us something?" She whispered back. She was so caught up in the moment.He let a out light laugh."I guess that's true. Hey lovebirds do you want to play chicken?" Then he turned towards Sam."I guess they are too chicken to play chicken."
James shrugged, "I don't know, but I don't really care either." He said smiling. Calla's skin felt so warm against his. He was captivated by the excited look in her eyes. "Yeah." Sam rolled her eyes, "I guess they are. So, what do you want to do, Charming?"
Her face turned a deep red. Her skin felt like it was on fire. "Neither do I. So you captured me aren't you going to give the best kind of torment." She said with a smile."I don't know Princess. What I do know is I will meet you in the pool." He ran into the pool and did a big jump.
James spun her around so that she was facing him. He pressed his lips against hers slowly. Pulling away, he looked in her eyes briefly before kissing her again. Sam giggled and ran over to the pool slipping in. She wet her hair and swam around for a bit, warming up. Then she swam back over to Danny.
The kiss was warm. She loved him. She wrapped her arms around his neck. In between the kissing she said,"This is the best torment I ever had." Then she went back to kissing him."So Princess. Are you warm yet?" The water was cooled at first. He felt warm now.
James grinned for a moment, "I'm glad you like it." He said, leaning in again. Sam grinned, "Oh, I think I am pretty warm, what do you think?" She joked. She dived under the water again, swimming a ways before surfacing.
She pushed closer to James. She wanted to be close to him. Her skin tingled. "Well me too. So what do you want to do? I'm bored." He said with frown. He hated being bored.
James ran a hand down her back, pulling her closer. He felt as if he was born to be with her. He kissed her with all the passion he had in him.Sam raised a brow, she dived under the water, flashing herself into a new form. "How's this?" She asked. She lifted up her legs, revealing that they were now a tail. A long turquoise, scaly tail. She splashed him with it, "Come on, you can give yourself one too." She sped around the huge pool once before coming back to him.
She let a moan escape her mouth. She wanted to be with him. It was destiny for her to marry a hunter. It was destiny for her to be a dark witch. Well she makes her destiny. She choses James in her dreams over anything else. "Your a mermaid?" He was puzzled on how she did that. He didn't like mermaids or whatever they were called.
James couldn't think about anything but Calla, and how right he felt when he was with her. "No silly. Starlighters are shapeshifters, remember? We can change our bodies any way we like. Having a tail is very useful in water. You can breathe underwater, and you are much faster." She switched her tail back to legs, and then to a tail again, "You can switch it back whenever you like." She grinned, "You could just give yourself gills, but I think the tail is more pretty."
This was right. Her skin had tingled going through it. She felt safe with him. She forgot where she was and what she was. She was with James and that is all that matter."I don't think I'm strong enough to use that much magic. I'm sorry Princess I would." He felt bad for not being able to join Sam in the fun.
All of his regrets about his past suddenly didn't matter anymore. Calla loved him even though he was a hunter. Sam smiled sympathetically, "If you let me, I can change you for you." She slowly swished her tail to keep herself up, "But it is up to you."
She felt normal. She was just a normal teenage girl kissing her boyfriend. "Princess you sure you have enough energy." He didn't want to take it if she needed it.
Sam giggled, "You can turn it off when ever you want." She said, extinguishing her light. It felt strangely dark without it. She sighed, relaxing against him. She wanted to stay like that forever.
