Once Upon A Time and Lara
"No." He screamed. She was gone. She was going to die. He felt awful. He fell to the ground crying. He felt pain. Where were James and Calla?"Something is wrong James. We have to get back to the castle. Hold my hand." She thought about the castle and Sam. They arrived to the castle."Where is Sam Danny?"
Sam could barely see as something wrenched the spear out of her. She was roughly carried through a hidden door and into the ground. The door closed after them, hiding the entrance, and blanketing them in darkness. Arae was in chains, and being dragged along behind them through the tunnel. Everything hurt. She couldn't tell what it was that had captured her, but she could tell that they were moving deep into the ground. The procession stopped and Sam could feel herself thrown to the ground. And then she heard the cell door slam shut. Then the procession left, taking Arae with them.
James looked around, he couldn't see that anything was wrong. "What is going on?" He asked Calla.
"Danny where is Sam?" "I don't know."
"Can you see Danny, James?"
"Yeah, I see him." Then he realized that Sam was missing. "Man up Danny! Tell us what happened. Crying is not going to get her back." He reasoned. Her star energy was the only thing keeping her alive, and even that would run out. "Help." She whispered feebly, before she passed out.
"Someone took her. A spear went through her stomach and then she was caught in a net. They took Arae too." "Your connected. I have an idea. Danny think about Sam. It should you lead her too you."
He closed his eyes. He could see her lying passed out.
"Come on we have to be touching for this to work James." She grabbed James. "Danny take us to Sam." In a blink of an eye they were beside her. "James hold my hand we need to be invisible. Danny turn invisible. "They were all invisible.
James gasped at the sight of Sam. Blood had soaked through her shirt and puddled on the floor. James' stomach twinged uncomfortably. "What now?" He asked quietly. Sam was shifting in and out of consciousness. She heard voices, but she couldn't do anything. Her whole body killed. Everything hurt so bad.
"Danny you need to heal her." He nodded his head. He slowly walked over to her. He bent down on the opposite side of the puddle."I'm here Princess I will make you all better." He put his hand on her. He gave her some of his energy. He started to glow. He healed her slowly the blood stopped. Please make this work he thought.
James suddenly heard pounding in the tunnels. Something was getting closer! "Guys, we need to go, now!" He shouted to them. Sam felt herself heal a little. The outside of the wound was closed, but her insides were still torn. She gasped, "Get Arae." She said quietly, "And get out of here."
"We are not leaving without Sam or Arae. James we will go get Arae. Danny you teleport Sam back to the castle to my dragon. He will be able to help." She saw him nod. They were gone. "Ready." She took a deep breath and pictured Arae. "Here we are." She dragged James with her. She touched Arae and they teleported out. They were out of there in blink. When they got to the castle. "James catch me." Then she started to fall. Then she blacked out.
James caught Calla. She was obviously tired from teleporting. He carried her to a bed and lay her down gently. Sam groaned as her body bounced around in Danny's arms. It hurt so bad, "Gentle." She moaned to him. She felt as if she was going to pass out again, and it made her feel like throwing up.
"I'm sorry Princess." He didn't no where Callas dragon was. He laid her down. "I will finish healing you here." He winced at the pain he felt. He let the power transfer through him into her. He could feel his body start to glow."Please Princess stay with me." He hold her hands tight against his.She didn't know what happened. She knew James caught her. Whatever happened in between then and now. "Please don't go ." She muttered. Then she was swept into a sleep.
Sam moaned as she felt her organs start to fix. She turned her head side to side, trying to get rid of the pain. "Don't leave me." She gasped. Her back arched as her body continued to heal. Why was it so painful? It shouldn't hurt this much. James smiled down at her, "I'm not going anywhere." He promised. He sat on the bed and leaned against the wall, closing his eyes for a second. He wondered how Sam and Danny were doing.
"I won't leave you Princess." He felt his power slowly going. He didn't care. He needed to heal her the rest of the way his body was so bright now. He didn't even tap into his hidden power. He must to make her better. He closed his eyes. When he opened them again they were white. "Princess how are feeling?"
Sam sat up, she was feeling better. It was working! Then she gasped, clutching her stomach. Something was wrong. The wound should be healed, but it felt like something was eating her inside. "Danny!" She cried, falling back against the tiles again. "Help me! Something's wrong!" She gasped, starting to sweat. Something was going terribly wrong.
"I'm trying Princess. Please stay with me." Tears were coming down his face he was using most of the power he had. "I can't I'm almost out of power. I'm failing." Please something work.
Sam curled up in a ball, trying to hide from what ever it was that was tearing her to pieces. She screamed. "Danny! Please!" She cried. "Help me." She moaned, shuddering against the floor. "The spear." She gasped. "I-It wasn't normal." She clutched her stomach, trying to tear out the pain. "M-magic." She cried again, "Danny!" It felt like something was ripping her to pieces, "Help me!"
He felt himself growing weaker. "I'm can't Princess." He kept letting the power go to her. His eyes started to flutter. This is how it was supposed to end. "I love you Princess." He felt his body hit the floor. His eyes closed. Callas dragon appeared. He saw the girl named Sam needed help. He walked over to her."It is magic poison." He touched his nose to her head. "There should be all better. How do you feel?"
Sam relaxed as the pain died down to just a dull throb. "Much better." She sighed. "Thank you." She felt exhausted, and she knew she was not strong enough to move yet. "Could you help Danny now please?" She asked nicely, "I'm just going to rest for a little while..." Her eyes closed, and she fell into a deep and needed sleep.
The dragon shook his head no."Can only help non natural effects to the body. The only one person who this doesn't apply for would be Calla. " he saw that they were both asleep. He teleported them both to the a bedroom then went away to where he was.
James looked over at Calla. "You awake?" He asked softly when he saw her eyes flutter. "We should probably go get some food in you." He said. Sam heard the dragon's voice just as she fell asleep. She didn't even dream she was so exhausted.
"Yeah I'm awake,but I'm still tired." She muttered. She felt like so much of her power has been gone."Can I sleep for a few more minuets?" She closed her eyes again and she went into another deep sleep.Danny memory was foggy. He hope they were ok.
James sighed and closed his eyes again. "Just a few minutes." He said.Sam opened her eyes and found herself lying in a bed.... with Danny. What happened? She wondered. She was still too weak to move anything. "Danny?" She whispered. "You ok?"
She couldn't hear his reply. She was to deep in sleep. She wouldn't be able to wake up until she is fully rested. Then he remembered what happened. They were dead. He couldn't save Sam. "I'm sorry Princess." He muttered. He didn't know where he was. He felt so weak. He couldn't open his eyes. He didn't know that Sam was right there beside him.
James relaxed against the bedframe, closing his eyes to have a quick nap. Sam was worried that Danny was delusional, "Danny?" She asked, "I'm right here. Please Danny, I don't have any strength, don't leave me now!" She began to cry, both from the trauma and her exhaustion, "I should have just died. Why didn't you let me die? Then you would be ok."
All he knew was that he failed."I'm sorry I failed." He didn't know Sam was there. He thought he did fail."I will miss you Princess."
"Danny!" Sam shouted. "Listen to me!" She was crying harder now. Danny was delusional! And there was nothing she could do about it. She had no energy left. "I'm right here! Danny? Why are you ignoring me?" She asked. He didn't even know she was there. It would have been better for me to die... She thought sadly.
His face grew pale. His heart started to slow down. He felt so weak."Not enough power to save you Princess." Then his body went cold. " I used all of it. Please don't leave me Princess." He had know clue what was going on,but he felt himself slipping away.
Sam had tears streaming down her face. She had just enough energy left to live on, and that would be enough to fix Danny. I want him to live. I would die so that he could live. She thought to herself. "I-I love you Danny." She whispered, and she gave him all of her energy, every last drop.
Danny woke up in flash. He say Sam there laying there dead or dying. "No Princess." He felt better. He had to save Sam. "Here you go Princess don't worry about me." He gave her all her powers back."I will be fine just need some rest." He felt himself slipping away."I'm not going to sleep yet until you wake up Princess."
Sam blinked open here eyes. Why was she still alive? Then she realized that Danny had given her powers back, "Danny!" She whispered, "You need to keep them. You need to live!"
"I will Princess,but if you would die I wouldn't be able to live." He looked at her."I'm just a little weak. I promise I will be ok. Let me get some rest." His eyes closed. "Goodnight my love."
Sam relaxed, curling up next to Danny, "Goodnight." she told him quietly. She hoped everything would be ok now. She really hoped it would.
He drifted off into a deep sleep. In her deep sleep she ran into a nightmare. It was the time her parents died. "No." She screamed. Her parents dropped on the ground. She ran far away. Tears were coming down her face. She ended up in a cave. She was safe and she curled up and cried. She struggled to stay asleep.
James woke to hear Calla moaning and thrashing around. He lay a hand on her shoulder, "Shhhh, it's ok." He said gently, "It's just a bad dream."
She jolted up. It was just bad dream."It was about when my parents died." She was shaken up from her dream. She buried her face into his shirt. She cried. She hasn't cried about her parents in a long time."I miss them." She muttered.
James nodded, "I know. It's ok to miss them." He hugged her gently, "It'll be ok. I promise. This will all end ok."
"We will get a happy ending right?" She was clamming down some.
"Yes." He said, running a hand through her hair, "Yes we will. Go back to sleep. It is late at night."
She nodded her head. She laid back down and went to sleep.
James smiled and lay down beside her, falling asleep. He woke up, well rested the next morning and looked around. Calla was still sleeping, "I'm going to go make breakfast." He whispered, getting up.Sam was still sleeping peacefully beside Danny as the light began to stream into the room.
Calla heard James get up. She brought her head up. "Can I help?" Danny saw the light streaming in. He jolted up."Sweet heart. It's morning." He whispered in her ear.
James smiled, "Sure." He said, helping her off the bed.Sam opened here eyes and looked up at Danny. "Mmmmm." She smiled, "G'morning."
"Can you carry me. I'm still a little week." She asked with a big smile."Are you feeling better Princess?" He brushed the hair out of her face. "Never scare me like that again."
James grinned and picked her up. "You know, I think I am stronger from all this carrying I've been doing." He joked. Sam's face contorted with emotion, "I'm sorry. I should have seen them standing below me, I could have-- and you almost died--and--" She shook her head, tears coming to her eyes.
"Hey." She punched him playfully. "Shh Princess. It is ok. I'm ok your ok. We are here together." He hugged her and wiped the tears away. "I love you Princess."
James grinned and walked into the kitchen, setting her down at the table. He pulled out the ingredients to make pancakes, "So, you gonna watch or help?" He asked, raising a brow. Sam was so thankful for Danny. Thankful that he was able to comfort her when she needed it, "Thank you." She whispered, leaning against his shoulder, "I love you too."
"Well never really cooked before. Unless I used my magic." She told him with seriousness in his voice."I just will watch." "Anytime sweet heart." He smelled something cooking."I'm so to be this tired?" He still felt really tired from using most of his powers.
James smiled, "Alright." He mixed the ingredients together, and then began to fry the pancakes in a pan over the stove.Sam smiled, and then nodded, "It'll go away with time." She said. "Want to go get breakfast?"
"Pancakes are good. But waffles are way much better. Since you made pancakes I will suffer and eat them." She said with a smile."Yeah. Do you need help Princess?"
Sam blushed, "Oh stop it." They were almost of age. Sam was starting to wonder if they would end up getting married at the same time as James and Danny. She knew it was up to Danny. "I love y-" She wasn't able to finish her sentence, for at that second, a spear flew through the air, piercing her through the stomach. A net flew around both her and Arae, and they were dragged to the ground.
