"Yeah." She whispered."The Prince cants wait to meet her." She said. "That's because they are afraid of us." She said. "At times we are more powerful than starlighters." She looked at her.
Danny smiled at her.
James nodded and walked with her to Danny's room. He took one look at Taylor and growled. "What are you doing here?"Taylor's eyes widened. "I-I don't understand..."
James glared. "Oh yes you do. Reveal yourself."
Taylor looked down and shifted so she looked like herself and not Sam.
Sam bit her lip. That wasn't good at all. Starlighters were supposed to be the most powerful beings, and that was for a reason. Any other being with that much power and the ballance would be upset. "Prince." Sam repeated. "James is not going to be happy about that..." she looked over at suzy. "So what are your powers exactly? As far as I know, you just collect shiny stuff."
She was shocked. "Where's Sam.""Yeah where's Sam?"
"I don't know" she whispered. "Come on. I'm going to help you out." She said teleporting them. "Calla right?" She said.
"Yeah."
"Show yourself." Calla shifted to a Shimmer.
James frowned. "What the heck is going on?"Taylor disappeared, going back to HQ.
Sam's eyes widened. "I have to go back! I cant be here. They'll kill Danny if im here!" She teleported herself back into the cell.
"No." She looked at Sam. She teleported her back. "Don't go." Calla begged. "Queen Calla come back with me." She said.
"Sam don't go."
"No I'm not your queen." She said.
Sam was trembling. "I can't stay! They'll kill you Danny if I stay."James shook his head. "Sorry luv. Calla already is a queen. She's not going anywhere with you." He said firmly.
"No." He said. "Your not leaving me." He whispered."She's the queen of Shimmers must coming back to the planet her Prince is waiting for her." She said.
"I'm not going anywhere with you."
James glared. "Her prince is talking to you right now. Now get lost witch. Go find yourself another queen."Sam looked at him sadly. "I dont want you to die Danny." Tears prung into her eyes. "I couldn't live without you. Im trying to save your life."
"I'm not a witch. I'm a shimmer. The she is the shimmer queen" she said. "We have to go there because the starlighters will take her." "It will be fine." He whispered.
"Why would the starlighters want me? Sam shine some light on this?"
Sam sighed. "The starlighters are supposed to be the most powerful beings in the universe. Any being that gets too much power for its own good, is kept in check." She said slowly.James frowned. "Ok. Now I am thoroughly confused. The shimmers and the starlighters want Calla? Why?"
"We want her because she's a shimmer and our Queen." She looked at them. "Starlighters want her dead because they are the supreme race in their minds." "Im not a threat."
"What are we going to do."
Sam shook her head. "They dont want her dead. Where did you get that information from? Its obviously false. Starlighters, when in their true form, are incapable of doing evil, wich is why they were elected the supreme race by the high council in 1874." Sam stated matter of factly. "Get your facts correct Suzy, then we'll talk."James frowned. "Regardless, Calla is not going anywhere. She is staying right here with me."
"I was there I heard their plans for her. So don't tell me what I did or didn't hear." She said. "Calla concentrate on Sam. I'm showing her what we can do."She didn't want to do anything. She looked at her she felt her power. She felt the need to burn her insides. She did just that.
"No. Stop Calla."
Sam's eyes widened as pain shot through her. She cried out, clutching her stomach. Collapsing on the ground, she writhed in pain, screaming.James frowned deeper, "Calla. Stop this now! Sam is your friend!" He clared at suzy. "And this girl is not."
She stopped. "I'm sorry." She said. "See the starlighters want us dead." She whispered. "They hate how we can do that." She said.
"Go away Suzy."
Sam was panting, but she gained composure fairly quickly, as she was used to torture because of her job. "You think Im that shallow? I dont want you dead just because you tortured me." She stood up slowly, shoulders square. "We dont want Calla dead, and she is not going with you, so get lost."James was slightly surprised by sams words and actions, but he nodded slowly. "Yeah. Get lost. Now."
"You sit believe me." She said looking at them."I'm telling the truth." She sent them the conversation about killing Calla. "Sam are you lying? Or did you not know anything about it?"
"Suzy please go and Calla she would plot out to kill her best friend."
"Neither." Sam said spitefully. "That conversation was fabricated, it never happened." Sam said, "and I know how to spot a fake. Im an agent for crying out loud, its my job!" She rolled her eyes. "I would expect that you would be able to see it was a fake too calla. If you look closely, it is easy to tell."James shook his head. "That sneaky.... Suzy, my patience is wearing thin. Leave now before I help you depart."
She looked at her friends. Some thing was off. That wasnt fabricated. She could tell. She couldn't know why her friends getting so mad. She looked at Suzy. "I'm sorry you have to go." She looked at her. "I'm not lying." She whispered. "Fine don't believe me." She said. She looked at Calla. "Please come to the planet anytime." She whispered.
"You believe her don't you?"
Sam sighed. "Im sorry Suzy that it had to be this way, but im not letting anyone take my best friend." Sam knew that the conversation was a fake, but she was confused as to why Suzy would fabricate something like that. And she was even more confused as to why Calla would believe the girl.James clenched his fists. "I need to go cool down." He said sofly, leaving to the training room. He punched a bag to let out his anger. He didnt want to take it out on anyone else.
Suzy was gone. She believed her. She knew she wasn't telling a story. "When you only send those you only an send memories of things you hear and said." She whispered. "You believe her don't you."
Sam sighed. "Believe whay you wish. No one is stopping you." She looked down. "Im going to go join James and cool down." She left to the training room. James didnt look up. "Its not wise to be around me right now sam." He growled, punching the bag furiously.
Sam nodded. "As it is unwise to be around me. Come on. I need a partner." She raised her fists to her face.
James raised his eyebrow. "Do you have a death wish or something?" There was a small smile on his lips as he moved forwards to challenge her on the mat.
Sam grinned. "Come on big boy. Lets see what you got."
James swung an easy punch at her.
Sam dodged it easily, striking his across the face.
James's eyes widened, and then he grinned. "You got it coming now." They started fighting hard.
She went to go see James and saw them fighting. Her heart instantly cracked. She bit her lip and went to her room. He wouldn't fight with her like that with her. He wouldn't train her until he knew what she was and what she could do. He nodded his head. He saw Calla storm off but didn't say anything.
James swung a hefty punch at her. Sam flipped over him, grabbing his wings at the same time. When she landed, James was flung over her head.James landed square and shrugged. "Nice move. For a girl." He grinned.
Sam growled and leaped at him. After scoring two blows to his face, she was wrenched off as James scored a hit to her stomach.
Sam was winded for a second, but she kept at it. She managed to get James on the ground, pinning him. "I won."
James rolled them so he was on top. "Tie."
"Tie." Sam agreed, and they both got up and dusted themselves off. James left to look for Calla.
She came back to them and saw on top of each other. She didn't want to jump to conclusions. She heard everything they said. That she was a good fighter and what was she? She wanted to be left alone for while. She turned invisible and curled into a ball. Danny sat there waiting for Sam.
James went looking for Calla and couldn't find her. He figured she wanted to be alone, and he respected that, so he went to the kitchen instead to get a snack.The fight had helped her cool down, and Sam was relaxed once more. She went to find Danny. Seeing him, she walked over and sat down beside him. "Hey handsome." She whispered, kissing him gently before smiling up in his eyes.
She was hurt a lot. She was sure it was nothing. He looked liked he enjoyed that fight. She can fight better. She was angry and upset. Everyone she knew and cared for had a secret. James was a demon. Sam was a fake. Josh left. She sighed softly."Hi there. Do you know what's wrong with Calla. She stormed out of here not too long ago?"
James sat down lazily at a table and ate the orange he had slowly. He hoped Calla would come see him soon. He didn't like it when she didn't talk to him about what she was feeling. Sam frowned. "It might be about that Suzy deal... I dont know. " she shrugged. Sam hadn't thought anything of fighting with James except for having a great way to take out her anger. She didn't think Calla would think differently.
She had a tear coming down her cheek. She wiped it off. It was nothing just a stupid fight. She wanted to do something. She was angry. She was a no body now. She wasn't the expert in things anymore. She was just a beginner all over again. She couldn't fight or do anything. She told herself to clam down. She did. It look like she was fine. "Anyways Princess." He said. "How about one of my famous PBJ sandwiches." He said.
She got up and went to see James. "Hi." She whispered sitting on his lap.
James smiled down at her, wrapping his arms around her and kissing her neck gently, smiling against her. "Hey." He whispered, "Are you alright?"Sam grinned. "That sounds devine." She said, smiling up at him.
"Yeah." She kissed him on the lips. Her kiss was burning now. It burned the person insides."That's good."
James felt a warm feeling in his stomach, like fire, but it didn't hurt because he was a demon, and a demon's element is fire. "Are you doing that baby?" He asked softly, looking into her eyes.Sam smiled and sat back, waiting patiently for the food.
"Doing what?" She asked confused. She didn't know what she was doing if she was doing anything.He made the sandwiches. "Here you go Princess." He said sitting them down for her.
James frowned a little. "The fire in me honey. I didnt put it there, and Sam and Danny couldn't have. So you must have." He told her gently.Sam smiled. "Thank you." She ate the sandwich hungrily.
"I didn't put fire in you" She said. She did but she didn't know. She looked at him."Did you like them?"
James sighed. "Its fine if you did you know. You might not even know that you did it..."Sam nodded. " they were amazing!" She grinned. "I swear Danny, you're getting better at this everyday."
He was upset at her. She smiled faintly and nodded her head. "Thanks."
"Are you ok ? " he asked again. He was worried about her.Sam nodded. "No problem."
"Yeah." She said with a genuine smile.He smiled at her.
James smiled back. "Ok." He said gently. "Remember, if there ever is anything wrong, feel free to talk to me about it. "Sam smiled right back. "I love you charming. "
She nodded her head. Everything wasn't fine. She was hurting. She saw Sam and Danny. She felt that burning thing come again. She made go towards Sam. She looked at James. "Ok." She smiled looking into his eyes,Danny looked at her. "Love you more than most."
James smiled and nodded."I want to know that i can trust you. " he said softly. "That's all. "Sam doubled over in pain. She clutched her stomach and groaned. "Mercy!" She screamed. "Danny, help me!"
Her heart even cracked again. He thought she couldn't trust her. She wanted to know why? What did she do? She nodded her head and smiled to him."Sam what's wrong." He said. "James what's wrong?" He asked holding her close to him.
James turned and frowned. " I don't know. Calla, do you have any idea? "Sam screamed and shook, writhing in pain. Soon she passed out from the pain. She fell limply in his arms.
"No." She looked at her and stopped doing whatever she did. "Sam please baby."
James was watching everything carefully to try to find out what was going on. Sam woke up slowly and looked around, blinking groggily. "What...happened...?"
Calla watched. "What was wrong?" She asked."Shh I don't baby."
James shook his head. "I cant figure it out."Sam nodded. "Ok. It hurt Danny..."
"I hope it was nothing." She whispered."I know. Have you felt that before?"
Sam frowned. If calla was the queen of a different planet, who on earth would be the queen of this one? And how were they supposed to defeat her aunt. "That is very intriguing. Why are these shimmers so dangerous?" She asked curiously.
Taylor smiled up at him. "I'm glad." She kissed him gently, and then settled down beside him again, slowly closing her eyes.
