James held her gently, continuing to talk soothingly to her. "She'll be ok, she's just trying to get rid of the nightmares." He told them.Sam nodded. "So she will wake up?"
James nodded. "She should. In a couple of minutes or so."
her face went pale and she was having hard time remebering what happen.She opened her eyes. "what happened?"Something felt different about hr. "Do you feel that?" He aske James and Calla.
James nodded and frowned lightly. He felt darkness. If he didn't know better, he would have said there was another demon in the room. "Yeah... it's weird." He said, holding back his suspicions. Sam nodded. "Are you ok Calla?" She asked, worried about her. The feeling in the room had changed dramatically.
"Yeah why wouldnt be." She then burst out into tears.she started to shake her face turned pale. The baby was settling in her. She screamed in pain."Calla?" The shift in energy shifted even more.
James lay a hand gently on her arm. "Calla, honey, what's wrong?""I don't like the feeling of this." Sam whispered.
Then it was over. She looked at him. "Yeah I fine."He closed his eyes and thought about her. "What's a transparent demon? The demon Princess put it in her." He asked looking around.
James bit his lip. "A demon that feeds off a host to survive. Kind of like a baby demon. They're really rare though. Why?"Sam frowned. "She doesn't have one of those, right?"
Calla looked at them. "What are you talking about I'm fine." She said."I closed my eyes and thought about her and what happened while she was in there and I saw this." He sent them to both James and Calla.
James swallowed hard. "I can't kill the thing while it's in her without killing her as well.""So what do we do? When can you kill it?" Sam asked.
"The second it comes out again." James said, frowning a little.
She looked at them. "Your not killing anything." "Calla you are carrying a demon." He said slowly.
She looked at them crazy and started to burst out in tears.
James wrapped his arms around her, tucking her safely against him. "You guys can go now." He told Sam and Danny, wanting to be alone with Calla.Sam nodded and quietly left the room. "So what does this mean?" She asked Danny.
James held her gently, rocking her a bit. "Shhh. It'll be ok. I promise."
"Your not killing anything." She whispered. Her stomach had a little bump formed on the thing started to send signals out that it's hers."I don't know" he said honestly.
James sighed. "If that thing hurts you Calla, I will kill it." he said honestly. Sam nodded and sighed. "Well, I know what she's going through." She smiled and leaned against Danny. "That would have been a nightmare, if you weren't there to help me through it."
She looked at her stomach. "It's mine. I'm not going to let no one hurt you." She said. She was falling under it's control. "The baby's hungry I must go feed with dark power." She said under it's control.He smiled."I know but that thing can control her where the other one couldn't."
James sighed. "Fine. I wont hurt it then." He was only trying to protect her, and he was offended that she was paying more attention to a life sucking demon than himself. "I'll be in the kitchen if you need me." he said, leaving to go get a snack.Sam nodded. "True dat."
She nodded. "It's ok baby." She whispered to her stomach. She felt her world spinning. She collapsed to the floor. She soon found herself in a chains. She looked up. "Power must have power." She couldn't see who she was talking to. Another energy ball came into her. The baby started to grow and take over her more. She looked down her eyes glazed over. She heard laughs but didn't know who from. "Oh brother dear. I got you a surprise." The Princess was laughing.He smiled. "Do you want to do something."
James looked around. "Calla!?" He gasped. "Calla! Where did you go?" He jumped up, looking around frantically. "Where are you?"Sam nodded. "Sure, that would be nice."
"You might think I'm the demon Princess. Well go ahead think that because I'm not her but your not thinking because the baby controls you so far." The chains dropped. Next thing she knew it she was on a bed. They pricked her with needles. She didn't feel anything. "Here is the first test. Let's see if you can tap into the baby's power." The baby kicked her. She nodded and pictured flames all over the place."Sam something is bad." He whispered.
James huddled on the bed, holding his head in his hands. He shook it back and forth. She was gone, and it was his fault.Sam stiffened. "What is it?"
The baby kicked again and she stopped. "Good the baby controls you so well." She smiled. "Next test. We are going to kill the baby now." They took a knife to her. The baby sent a wave darkness through her. Her eyes were black. "Don't touch my baby." She hissed. She looked down as the baby stopped.
"The demon is doing well in you. Take her to the other subjects put her in the tube." They put her in a tube filled with darkness for the baby. The baby was eating off of her.
"Calla " he whispered.
James wrapped himself up in his wings. He wanted to cry, but it wasn't physically possible for him. So instead, to get rid of the pain, he decided to shut himself off. He thought hard in his mind, and then turned it off. His eyes went out and he fell against the bed, limp."What?" Sam asked. "What's wrong with her?"
He closed his eyes do many thing were going wrong. "James shut his mind off some person is trying to get the demon to control calla." He said.Calla laid there in so much pain. She screamed in pain. She called out for James. "Awe he won't answer you." The baby kicked and she closed her eyes and fell back under the drugs and the baby's control.
Sam swallowed hard, "What can we do?"James was lying unresponsive on the bed, in a deep sort of sleep in a way
"I don't know trying getting James to wake up." He suggested. He took her hand. "James wake up." He whispered. She laid there. She had no more energy left. "James. I love you." Her breathing started to slow down. The demon started to kick hard. All she could do was whimper. Calla gave what little energy she had left to James for safe keeping. She closed her eyes as the demon was ripped from her stomach. She laid there eyes now opened. They healed her.
James wasn't responding. He couldn't hear them. He had shut off his mind.Sam shook her head. "That isn't going to work. We have to go into his head and convince him to come out."
"Ok." He nodded his head. "I'll go in there saying Calla needs him." He whispered. He closed his eyes and was in his mind. "James we need you to wake up Calla is in trouble she needs your help. I can't sense her but she is in trouble." He said.Calla laid there weakly. The only thing she thought of was James but she couldn't say anything. She kept calling for him in her mind but no one answer. She needed help. "I guess if he doesn't answer soon we will kill you." Her eyes widen in fear.
James held his head, and shook it. "No, No. I can't go back out there. I can't do this. Not strong enough. It's all just a bad dream...." He kept muttering over and over to himself.Sam watched, worried about her friends. She hoped they would all be alright.
Calla eyes were stricken in fear. She had no energy to scream when they stabbed her. She laid there bleeding. Trying to stay awake for James."James." His faced pale. "James Calla needs you right now. She's dying if you don't get out of here she will die." He said. Showing him the events that happened to Calla.
James moaned. "No..." His eyes burned a fiery red. He woke up with a burst of fury. Flying all the way to Calla he healed her with his magic, panting from anger. "Who did this to you?" He asked in anger.Sam was shocked. "Danny! How did you get him to wake up? And where did he go?" She asked him, worried.
"James." She whispered. She was weak and tired. "Thought was demon Princess but not." She said weakly. Her arms were black and blue from the needles. She had no energy from the energy sucking demon. Her pale face. She didn't know if she should fall asleep or not."I sent him and image that got while I was in there. It was of Calla dying."
James held her gently. "Ok, just rest." He flew them back to the castle, giving her his energy the whole way there.Sam nodded. "Well that would do it."
She nodded her head. She closed her eyes and snuggled into him. She probably would be paranoid with all the tests they did on her and the needles. She felt like a human pin cushion."Yeah that would." He said.
James carried her gently all the way back to their room. He lay her down on the bed and pulled the covers up over her, smiling slightly. "You'll be ok now." He promised.Sam grinned. "You're so smaaaart." She smiled up at him.
She nodded her head weakly. She laid there sleeping for awhile. "Please no more. No more tests." She begged in her sleep. "Thank you." He smiled. "Now let's go do something" He kissed her forehead.
James nodded."I promise." He told her gently, brushing his thumb over her forehead. He smiled gently down at her. "Sweet dreams love."Sam nodded. "Yes, lets. Did you have something in mind?"
She slept for awhile. She didn't move at all just slept. She snuggled into James."What do you want to do." He asked down. "All it matters I'm with you"
James smiled and lay down beside her. He moved closer to her and draped his tattooed arm over her shoulders.Sam laughed. "This again? Ok..... ummmmmmm lets play in a simulation."
She shifted a bit and yawned. She opened her eyes slowly and smiled. "James" she whispered. She looked at him with a weak smile."Yes that again." He smiled. "Ok."
He nodded and smiled back. "Yeah. Im here."Sam nodded. "Ok, what type of world do you want to explore?"
"They did tests and ripped the demon out of me. They stabbed me and put me in a tube. I kept calling for you." She whispered."I don't know anywhere"
James bit his lip. "Sorry honey, I couldn't hear you." He said honestly. "I kinda shut myself off."Sam nodded, "Ok. How about a futuristic jungle?"
She was shaking now. "They put needles in me. And the person said you wouldn't come and then she tried killing me." She said. Her eyes flashed she saw them coming. "No more tests no more." She cried. They came over to her. "No." She screamed. "Ok." He smiled. He grabbed her hand. "Lead the way."
James looked at her worried, wondering what she was seeing. "Honey, it's ok. They can't get you."Sam waved her hand and a large circular portal appeared. "Ok. We can't die in the realities, but you can feel everything that happens. So don't stub your toe or anything like that." She told him, grinning. "Lets go!" She took and running leap and dove through the portal head first.
"No more tests no more tests." She cried. Tears came down her face. He smiled. He jumped in after her. "So what's going to go one here?" He whispered.
James lay down on his back and pulled Calla on top of him. Then he stretched out his wings and used them to hold her gently against him. "Hey." He whispered gently. "It's just you and me here. You're going to be all right. No more tests, I promise."Sam grinned. "You have to be able to survive." She pointed to the huge jungle like trees. Birds were flying in their tops, but not any like had been seen on earth before. The plant life on the ground glowed softly. "Watch out for large animals."
Her cries turned into sobs. She clammed down. She snuggled into him. She listen to his heart beat. She soon was growing tired. "No more." She begged. She laid there on top of him slowly going to sleep. Soon she was sleeping peacefully. "Ok." He gulped at the birds. Big animals there are things bigger than those birds. He wasn't afraid. He had Sam right beside him. He held on to his hand. He heard snapping of branches. He jumped a bit.
He stroked her hair gently. "No more." He agreed, kissing the top of her head gently. He smiled a little when she fell asleep, glad that she was doing better. She needed the rest, so he didn't wake her up.Sam grinned when she felt his hand tighten around hers. She started to walk with him into the forest. "What, Charming is afraid?" She asked, brushing past a large leaf. "Remember, nothing can kill you in here. It is all fake." She giggled a little, finding it funny that he was scared.
She snuggled into him and sighed. She opened her eyes a bit and smiled. "Hi." She whispered weakly. She was happy and content. She slowly fell back to sleep before he could answer. "I'm not afraid." He retorted. "I know it's not real." He heard more cracklings and jumped even more. "What is that?" He asked just a little nervous.
He smiled. "Hey there." He said, even though he knew she was asleep. He leaned his head back against the wall behind him, relaxing. He was glad she was ok.Sam laughed. "Probably a large scary animal, with huge fangs and teeth." She joked, not being serious. Out of the bushes behind her poked a huge furry head, with huge fangs, just like Sam had said. It looked like a giant panther, and it was stalking them.
"What did you do." She asked worried.
"I gave you your own trasnparent demon. All that will happen is it will become your baby. So congrates for the baby. In around five minutes it will make your forget that this happened and you will wake up."
"Why isnt she waking up?" He asked
