Once Upon A Time and Lara

"Your right. How long should that take us?"

Sam nodded, she hid the fact that she was super nervous about breaking into the temple. She lead them down the hallways and towards the temple anyways, "Are you sure your dragon is in there?" She asked.
"Not very long. A couple hours if we are lucky." He said honestly.

"I'm sure. If you don't want to come along. That's fine." She could tell she was nervous.
"Ok. We should get going. So what are we going to tell the? I think you should talk." He wasn't going to open his big mouth and mess things up.

"Ok. Um, I think it might be better for you to meet him yourself anyways." She said, trying to find an excuse not to go inside. She new she was forbidden.
"Good plan." James said, grinning. "I don't know what I'm going to say yet, guess I'll just improvise." He said honestly

"Ok can you show me the way to the temple?" She understood why. Forbidden was something she was getting use to. Her forbidden love with James. She wouldn't consider forbidden in her eyes. Other hunters though.
"James you don't think we will run into her Aunt?"

"Maybe," James said honestly, "But I'm not worried." They kept walking along towards the forest country.

"Who goes there?" It growled.
"Calla Lucas." It just talked. She knew dragons could talk through their minds, but not physically.
"Your not supposed to be in here witch."
"Well neither are you dragon."
"True to that. If you are the one you will be able to set me free using your powers. Press your hands on my gem." She walked slowly and put her hands up to the gem. She felt power come to her quickly. Her eyes started to glow. A bright light appeared. The dragons chains were gone.
"We need your help."
"I know you do. Climb on to me. I will carry you back to your friend." She did as she was told. She felt weak. He carried her to Sam. She got down from him.
"I found him." She smiled weakly.
"I'm worried. What if she would make you suffer?" He looked up at James with a concerned look. "Do you think they will come once they find the dragon." He was missing Sam already. He sighed at the thought of leaving her. Hopefully they were having some luck.

"I don't know," James answered. "I hope they come, but I really don't know." They were very close to the place now.

"Me too." He was nervous. What if something went wrong? What if he never saw Sam again?

She stood, "I'm sorry. My friend needed the dragon to help defeat her evil aunt and claim the throne in this war and I knew it was forbidden but she had to get him-"
The starlighter held up a hand, "We know why you did what you did."
Sam looked around, "Please let me go back, they need my help!"
They reached the forest and James looked around for any sign of Good witches. "Can you help me find these people?" He asked.

"Look up there." He saw a cabin with fire coming out of it. He smelt witches. Hunters get a smell for witches after a while."James here we are I think." He hope this witches were good. He had no weapons on him.

Sam shook my head, "I do belong on earth, earth is my home. It is yours too. You have just forgotten that."
The lead starlighter thought for a moment. "We were born in the stars, we belong with them."
"But we lived on earth!" Sam protested. "We are a race that kept peace. Are we going to just watch as the earth goes to war?"
The head starlighter was quiet.
James nodded and moved towards the cabin. He paused at the door, and then knocked on it, waiting for someone to open up.

"Wait do you hear that?" He heard someone crying close by."Who would be crying in the middle of the woods?" Anyone could be. The question why would they be. With nightfall coming soon. This person must be crazy for crying in the woods.

The head starlighter sighed, "She is not thinking clearly," He told the others, "It is time for you to become your original form."
Sam struggled against the two starlighters carrying her towards a bright star, "No! No! Please, not yet."
The starlighter raised his brow, "When then?"
"Let me go down to the earth and help with the war, then once it is over, I will come back, then you can change me."
"Fine then, you may, if you promise to return to us, and change then."

"James did you hear the scream?" He wanted to find out who it was. It sounded familiar. Who could be?"James that sounded like of the girls." He whispered under his breath just loud of enough for James to hear.

"I promise." Sam said.
"We will transport you back to earth."
Sam looked around, "Please send me to Calla."
"Very well."

"Took who?" Knowing the answer already. His face went pale. He gulped Sam was gone.

Sam found herself in a field. She was not anywhere near Calla. What on earth had happened? She closed her eyes and saw her friends in a forest a little while away. "I'll just have to fly to them I guess." She said out loud, leaping into the air. It would only take a couple of minutes for her to reach them.

"Answer the question who took her." He said these words harsh. He was angry at Calla. How could she let them take her?

Sam strained through the air, speeding towards the forest in the distance. What if something was wrong with Calla? She had to get there quickly.

"Who is they?" Danny asked not as harsh as before. He was still mad. She was gone because of her.

James turned and stared. Sam was here. How was she here? What had happened? What was going on?!?

"Sam." He turned his head. He ran up to greet her. "How's my Princess." He asked with a smile.

Sam smiled weakly. She didn't want to talk about what had happened. She had made a promise that would change everything, and she didn't want to tell them about it. "I'm fine." She said tiredly.

"Is everything ok?" Something was wrong. This always happened with every relationship he had. Something goes wrong. It is always the girl who broke up with him. He knew it was to good to be true.

Sam nodded, "Yeah." Her voice was quiet. But nothing was ok. Not really. She would have to go back after the war. And then her people would change her. After the Changing, she wouldn't be able to be with any human. She knew this. She couldn't ask Danny to go back with her. She didn't look at him.

"Ok if you say so. You know Princess I would follow you wherever you go. If you left me I would never like anybody else. If there was a way for me to be with you forever you would tell me right?"

"Yes." She said, and then she thought about her promise, "Well, actually no." She sighed, "I can't stay here forever." She said finally.

Those last words came crashing down on him. He was mad and upset. He couldn't move. His face was expressionless. Why fight for something that wasn't even here to stay for long? Why risked getting killed and arrested for something that wasn't here to stay forever.

"They would never have let me come back and help fight if I hadn't have promised to return and Change. After I am changed, I could come back to earth. But I could never be with a human, not without killing them." She said. It hurt her more than anything to say this. Tears pricked in the corners of her eyes. "I want to be with you Danny. But sacrifices needed to be made to help win the war. I don't know what to do." She said sadly, kneeling on the ground. She hid her face in her hands and cried. Life wasn't fair. It just wasn't.

He didn't know what to say. He couldn't make words come out of his mouth. He should of left. It would be heartless if he left. It would save me pain. "You knew you would have to change eventually right?"

"Yeah." She admitted, "But since we live longer than humans, I thought it could be after you and I had lived our lives together." She said. She couldn't look at him. She knew she shouldn't have told him. She should have just faked her death or something. He would never change with her. I was so stupid!

Calla felt safe in the arms of James. She open her eyes. "I forgot to do something."

James looked down at Calla, "What is it?" He asked gently, brushed her hair away from her face.

"I forgot to do this." She leaned forward and kissed him.

James was surprised for a second, and then he allowed it, molding his mouth against hers. She was warm against his body, and all he wanted was to be with her.

She put her arms around his neck. She felt so warm and safe like this. Her body was on fire. She didn't care. They were together forever.

James slid his hand down her shoulder to her back, puller her closer to him. Something woke deep down inside. He pulled away from her, and looked down into her eyes, "Slow down." He said, grinning. "We have to save something for our wedding."

When he deepened the kiss. She could feel his hands on her back. She laugh."Yeah the wedding. Well that's another thing we have to worry about. All we really need is a ceremony, but the other witches will frown upon anything without a wedding." She laughed. "I would say let's just got to Vegas, but my people wouldn't like that. Anyways how old are you?" That is something she never asked him.

James laughed, "I'm nineteen. So when I turn twenty, it will be acceptable to marry." He said, smiling.

She frowned. "That could make thing more hard. I'm almost 18." She hated stupid human laws."Normally you have big wedding a few weeks after your ceremony. Stupid laws might make it harder."

"I'm sure we can stretch it a bit. My Birthday is coming up soon... It shouldn't be too hard." He assured her.

"Ok." She leaned on him again." Goodnight." She smiled. She drifted off into sleep.

James felt Calla fall asleep, and he sighed, looking up at the stars. Hopefully everything would turn out all right.

She felt her curled up into a little ball. She leaned closer to him.

James closed his eyes, exhaustion overcoming him. When they opened again, it was morning.

He opened his eyes. "Rise and shine Princess." He whispered in her ear.

James smiled and stood, "No problem." He looked around, "I think we should try and talk to those good witches today."

"You must think witches are stupid. I know for fact James wouldn't let a big mouth like you talk." She got up from where she was. She looked up at James. "Good morning, my big bad witch hunter boyfriend."
James thought for a second, "I believe there are some living in that old forest region to the south. I think we should try there first." He offered.
