James slep soundly through the whole night, though in the morning, his skin was still uncharacteristically pale. He wasnt getting any stronger, in fact, his body was fighting to stay alive.

She opened her eyes. "James are you ok." She whispered. Looking at him. She was nervous.
He opened his eyes slowly and nodded a little. "I'll be ok." He whispered. "Just a little weak, that's all." He muttered, closing his eyes again.
She teleported him to the sun. "Your not ok." She whispered. "You look like your going to die." She said. She was holding back the tears.
James's body started to heat up, but he wasn't strong enough to take in any of the energy. "I'm not going to die Calla, calm down. I'm right here." He whispered. He was heating up too much, as he couldn't take in any of the energy. Soon he broke out into a fever.
She teleported him back to the castle. "Your not ok." She whispered. Nothing was working she was panicking. She started to pour her energy into him.
James eyes opened halfway, "I'm fine. Please stop doing that. It's not going into me and you're just losing energy." He told her weakly. He closed his eyes again.
She looked at him and nodded. "Why isn't it going into?" She asked.
"Because I refuse to take your energy. I won't let you kill yourself over me." He said weakly, his voice barely a whisper. "I'll be ok." He said softly, before he passed out.
She kept saying a healing spell. She got him a wash cloth and put on him to cool his fever. "You'll be ok." She whispered. She couldn't lose him.
He was relaxed on the bed, his breathing and heart rate steadily growing slower. He was shivering, even though his temperature was through the roof.
She kept saying the spells. Healing him giving him her energy. She snuggled into him for a blanket. She needed him. "Please James take it." She begged.
James wasn't listening to her. Not only could he not hear her, but he didn't want her energy. His breaths were slow and shallow now.
She started to cry."James please be ok." She was trembling. She was really nervous. Sam help
Sam jolted awake when she heard Calla's voice. "I need to go check on Calla." She told Danny, before running into the other room. She gasped. "Oh no." She ran over to his side. "He's low on everything. We're going to need to get something in him." Sam tried to give him energy, but he deflected hers as well. "Since he's not accepting it by magic, we're going to have to do it manually." She said.
"Which is what? How do we do that?" She asked urgently. She was worried. "Will he be ok." She whispered afraid and frightened.
Sam didn't answer, she produced a transfusion bag with blood in it and hooked it up to one of his arms, before producing and IV drip and hooking it up to his other arm. She let them both start dripping into him and then sat back, waiting. James's skin gained a little bit of color, and his breathing became more even.
Sam sighed, "Yeah, he'll be ok. He's stable now. Whenever those bags empty, you have to fill them again."
She nodded her head. She was nervous. "Ok." She laid against him."you'll be ok" she whispered promising. She laid there not falling asleep. She needed to rest. She looked worse than James did. She had to stay awake."thank you."
Sam nodded. "You're welcome, but Calla, you don't look good either." She frowned. "You probably need this as well..." She produced another iv and slid it into Calla's hand. "Just rest ok? He'll be fine."
"How am I suppose to rest? I need to take care of him" she said trying to get up. She fell back on to the bed. "I need to save him." She said.
Sam shook her head, "How can you save someone who is just fine?" She asked, shaking her head, "He is alright. He should wake up in a couple of minutes."Sam was right, James stirred and opened his eyes slowly, his eyes travelling over the drips in his arms. He smiled weakly. "Well that worked out ok." He looked over at Calla and noticed that she had a drip too. "Are you ok?"
"I'm fine I go to take care of you." She has been through to much. She has stress problems and exhausted. "I'm fine." She whispered. She was a little paranoid. She looked at him.
Sam left quietly and went back to Danny. "They're ok."James chuckled. "Sure you're fine. Come on Calla, you're just as fine as I am." He smiled. "Just rest, and then you can take care of me."
She looked at him and nodded. She snuggled into him and fell asleep.
Danny nodded his head.
James sighed happily and fell asleep as well, slowly growing stronger again.Sam smiled. "Shall we go back to sleep?" She asked, moving closer to him.
She heard a beeping noise. "What is that?" She whispered. She was worried about something happening.He nodded his head and closed his eyes.
James opened his eyes. "The bag's empty. Mind filling it again?" He asked gently. Sam leaned against him and closed her eyes, not even noticing the chilling presence that had fallen over the room.
She nodded her head and filled it up again. She closed her eyes again falling back to sleep.Danny was cold. He shivered a bit. Something was wrong but what?
James smiled, covering her with one of his wings to keep the nightmares away. He closed his eyes and went to sleep slowly. Sam didn't notice when a small metal chain snaked towards them, observing them both. It almost looked like a snake made out of metal. It wound towards Sam and snapped itself around her wrist like a bracelet. Immediately the real Sam disappeared and was replace by a hologram.
She snuggled into him sleeping peacefully.He woke up. "Sam are you ok?" He whispered.
James didn't wake once during the night. The hologram didn't answer, it wasn't solid after all, if Danny wanted to, he could move his hand right through it.
Neither did calla. Her iv was beeping. She moved bit. She didn't realize it was beeping.Sam are you ok?
James woke up slowly. He noticed that the iv was beeping and he filled it up again for her. "Are you ok now honey?" He asked gently. Sam didn't answer, she couldn't answer, her brain had been put on sleep mode.
All around the world, people were starting to disappear like Sam had. Another snake moved through the hallways, and past Danny's room, looking for other victims.
"Something wrong. Same thing bad is happening people disappearing Sam's gone. Snake bracelet disappear. Looking for more victims. Have to help them. Coming towards us. We have to get out of here."
James lay a hand on her arm. "Whoa, hey, we'll be ok. Calm down, please. We'll work this out." The snake moved up onto the bed and towards Calla.James spotted it and snatched it up into his hand. The bracelet squirmed and thrashed, so he put it into a floating forcefield bubble that it wouldn't be able to get out of. "Interesting little guy, isn't he?" James asked, watching it. "That there, is a portal device of some sort, and it's living metal." he said softly, in reverence. "Wonder where it was trying to take you?"
Soon, all the females of the world were gone, every single one of them, except for Calla.
Sam was floating in a recuperation tank, with a mask over her mouth and nose that both kept her knocked out, and allowed her to breath. At the same time, little metal arms were doing tests on her body.
Beside her, were thousands of other girls in similar cylinder tanks, undergoing the same thing.
Calla jumped in worried as she saw the snake move. She was trembling really bad. She started to clam down when James grabbed it. She looked at the snake bracelet. "It took all the females in the world." She whispered. "I'm scared they will send more they need all of them." She moved over on to James lap. "Please don't let it take me we have to help them." She had an idea. "James if it took me would you be able to sense me and find me." She asked.Danny got up. "Something is wrong."
James nodded, "Of course honey but-" He realized what she was asking. "No way! I am not letting you get taken by that crazy piece of metal. We have no idea who we are up against! They are obviously smart if they could invent something like that, and not from this world because we don't have living metal, and there could be thousands of them! We can't fight an army, just Danny and I to come save you." He said, frustrated that she would even try something that reckless. The testing that was done on Sam quickly showed that she was not like the other humans. Her tank was wheeled into the middle of the room and onto a separate stand. More testing was done on her, this time to try and figure out why she had so much energy.
"Please don't yell at me." She whispered. "I know it's stupid I'm saying that if it comes to that I'll do it. They will find out that Sam isn't human." She looked at him. "I thought it was a good idea and is but everything we do is risky and dangerous. We don't have time we have to come up with something and do it to get save them." She sighed.Danny got up and went to their room, "sorry to say something but something really bad is going on."
He looked down. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to yell. I'm just really worried about losing you." he whispered. He looked up when Danny walked in and nodded. "Yeah, Come on in. All the females except for Calla have been taken by these." He pointed to the snake bracelet. "We were just trying to figure out how to get them back."
Tall, almost human looking aliens started to walk around, looking at the females. They were smiling and nudging each other. They needed the human females because all of their own had died off from a virus, and they needed females to keep their species alive.
Slowly, some of the human girls were taken out of the tanks and assigned to alien "husbands". They were dried off, had their memories wiped, and then walked off obediently with an alien.
Sam, however, was kept in a tank of fluid and continued to have tests done on her as they tried to figure her out. Soon her wrist was black and blue from how many needles she had gotten, and they were still working on her.
"Ok." He whispered."James they going to find out they are missing one." She gulped. "Will they come after me." She whispered. "I don't want to go off." She was really afraid. She knew they will find her. "James we have two options one is let me go or we could pay a friendly visit because we have intergalactic immunity for every species." She smiled at them. "Or we could find out another idea." She said.
"I don't think we should visit them and give our identities away yet. I doubt that they would be willing to give up the girls." He said slowly, trying to think. "I think we should go see what they are doing, without them knowing, and then decide what to do from there."The aliens figured how to work her powers, and immediately started to turn her light on and off, almost like giddy school children. However, when the tank started to heat up from her light, they left her off and replaced the fluid to keep her the right temperature.
"How would we do that?" Danny asked."The only way to do that is if one of us goes there. And they want me" she said again. "I can make my power go off and look like a human. I also put several spells on myself if my memory is wiped true loves kiss will break it." She said. "I thought that was an easiest thing to do. So if anything goes wrong James will be able to break the anything they put on me."
James nodded, sighing. "Please be careful Calla. I don't want to lose you." he whispered. "I promise I will bring you back. Well, here goes nothing." He let the snake out, and it immediately fell on the bed and moved towards Calla, curling around her wrist. She immediately disappeared. The aliens decided to try and dissect Sam to study her more carefully. A knife moved through the fluid in the tank and sliced her hand off. But, because she was a vampire, it immediately healed and re attached itself. The aliens got really excited, knowing what to do with her now.
She gulped not knowing what happened. She was worried. She soon fell into a relaxing state. The spells worked. She laid there. She felt needles picking at her. Her mind was shut off. "Can you sense her?" He asked.
James nodded. "I can." He bit his lip. "It's far away, think you can manage teleporting that distance?" He asked. He sent the co ordinates to Danny's mind.Sam was pulled out of the tank and pushed into a machine, not even getting dried off first. The machine closed around her and then hummed. After a couple of seconds, it beeped and she was pulled out again. They put her back into the tank, hooking her up again before continuing with the testing.
They wiped her memory and send her off with a new husband. She obeyed and followed. Her eyes were glazed over.He nodded his head. "You will find Calla I'll go find Sam." He said. He teleported him to Calla. She was sitting on the couch waiting for orders to be given. "I'll be back." He did and made himself look like them and went to Sam.
"Calla?" James asked, "Are you all right?" He wanted to see if she was ok, or if she really did get her memories wiped. Sam was still floating in the tank, a needle in her arm as they continued testing.
When Danny walked up, one of the aliens turned and smiled. "Are you here for her?" He asked him, for Sam was to be assigned a husband as well. "She will be done in a few minutes."
"Who are you?" She asked. "Please go." She whispered. She didn't remember anything. "My husband will be back he will hurt you.""Yes I am." He said. He nodded his head in response.
