Ed Mellnik This guy can obviously write. I think he got lost in his own project somewhere. WHy would he set up the conspiracy of the QUbe AIs and then leave it dead till the last 50 pages. Early on it sounded like it was going to be a good story of intrigue and mystery... instead it was a blathering of various things that had nothing to do with the mystery. I was very disappointed.

Budd Mystery starts, detectives follow path clearly marked with clues to directly solve the mystery with no fals leads or character development. Yes, it was bad and you have the right to feel disappointed.

Aleksei This book, I think, doesn't bother with anything but describing the world in which it takes place. It's more of an encyclopedia with characters (I know I had a couple of these when I was a kid) than a novel with plot. It's not that bad, actually, but I too was kinda disappointed.

You took the words right out of my mouth, LOL. It took some time before he even EXPLAINED what a "qube" was.

The ending felt rushed to me, and I was pretty disappointed with the whole book. I almost didn't finish it actually.

I didn't like any of the characters or even find anyone interesting enough to care about. I liked the premise but the story was too flimsy, there wasn't enough character development, and those Lists/Extracts were so tedious I usually skipped them.

They read like jibberish. I wondered, "WHAT is this?"

A bit late to this party...but thank you! I thought I was the only one. I really really didn't like where this book took me. I quit about half way through.

Tom Shinners One of the biggest issues I had with this book was the little extra sections interspersed between the narrative. I realize some of them gave needed information on the universe he was building, but they took me out of the story after every chapter. And it really made it an effort for me to get back into the flow of the plot and actually start caring about the characters. This one was a big let down after hearing how great it was.
