Sam | 1 comments Hello fellow Reddit Readers!

My name is Sam and I currently live in NYC. I am in my final semester of graduate school at Columbia, yay! My full time job is a Sign Language Interpreter and I am interning as a teacher of American Sign Language. So as you can guess - super busy!

I have never been in a book club before and I am super stoked to be here with you all. My goal is to read at least one book a month (since I have required readings for grad school). I love dystopian novels! Most recent book I read (finished a few days ago) was The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood.

I cannot wait to start reading with everyone! Hope to chat soon :D

-Sam

Welcome to the book club! Like Megan said congrats on your final year of school :)

You can always chime in on whatever book you're reading, and don't be afraid to put in a book request for discussion. It is always welcomed!

The Handmaid's Tale is currently winning in our book poll for the monthly read here:

https://www.goodreads.com/poll/show/9...

It looks like it's going to be our book for Feb, you can chime in the discussion even if you are not reading with us.

Any question, feel free to post them or message the mods. I look forward to seeing your posts :)

I will probably opt for Midnight's Children only because I am not a huge Margaret Atwood fan, so if anyone would like to discuss with me after I wade through some of it, hit me up!

Hello Megan! How you doing?

I already read the Handmaid's Tale as well. I too, voted for Midnight's Children. I might have a separate thread going for it, as well as referencing the original discussion threads on reddit as well.

There's some discussion on reddit already on Midnight's Children in that thread.

Hi Annie, been in horrible pain but hanging in there. I will be purchasing Midnight today and will probably start it tonight or in the morning.

Hope you don't have to much snow!!!
