Len Robertson | 39 comments I have suddenly begun seriously reading again after 20 years of much preferring writing to reading. The change came when my younger daughter bought me an iPad Air last Thursday. It was a Christmas present, but it was late because of a fierce Air backup.

It also helped that I have after years finished Revelations which should be available on Goodreads any day, either as Amazon ebook or paper back. The point to it all is that if anyone wants me to review their sic fi or fantasy novel, send it to me as an ebook that I can put on my Air and I will be more than happy to read it.

Curretly, I am rereading Asimov's later Foundation books that I haven't touched in over 30 years. It's a fascinating experience. He was so right about some things and so wrong about others.

He never guessed that the military and intelligence communities would conclude that "UFO's are real". Rather than being the origination of the galaxy's population, we are Johnny come lately's about to join the galactic community.

He never guessed that we would find other civilizations by 'seeing them' with optical telescopes. If you don't believe what I'm writing, cheek out the Gemini Optical Imager (GOI) that was the sensation at the Astronomy Conference this year.

He never guessed that Humanity would take a quantum leap in communication thanx to Apple Corporation. The amazing ease of operation of the IPhone and the IPad is creating an intuitive generation. My 21 month old grandson is more at ease with an IPhone or an IPad than he is with talking or walking. And, he's not unusual. The same phenomenon has been observed among many two year olds.

If he sees an IPhone or an IPad, he will run to it, sit and use it. He will spends hours on it if allowed. He grabbed by wife's IPhone, sat on the floor, and began moving this and that with his little fingers. My wife saw him and took it back. She got a phone call from Apple. They wanted to know why the call had ended.

When he saw my 'Air', he was over to me in a minute, looking to see what I was doing. The thing is it's not just random. He remembers where he's been and how to get back to it. Scary

Anyway, if you have a sic fi or fantasy book for me to review on my 'Air'----
