When you think about Nazi Germany, do you ever think about book burning? - Its never the first thought that comes to my head, but I do know that it happened. How long is the list of topics before you make that connection? - Not overly, my main interest is the holocaust and what happened their. Then I will think of the smaller details.
What do you think happened to Liesel's birth mother? - Anything could have happened, if she was Jewish, than she was most likely locked up in the concentration camps.
Do you consider Hans Hubermann to be a coward in any way? - I think he is a strong individual for voicing his beliefs so readily, but he did grow fearsome of the consequences.
How do you feel about the title "The Shoulder Shrug"? - I think it fits that part of the book.
Do you think Liesel was brave? - In a way, I think she was, but the definition of "brave" is to do something even if your afraid.
Would you grab a burning book so casually? - Me? Oh yes I would, NO one burns a book when I am near!
