Boooooo this book took a serious turn for the mundane.. I'm bored and I don't feel this crazy chemistry between them. It seems more like well I guess since we're the only people left alive we better learn to like each other.. So yah, I don't ship them and I'm really not feeling this book but I'm too far invested to not find out what happened and why

5. What do you think they'll discover at the crash site? A big gigantic disaster of bodies and supplies
6. What do you think to the changes the characters seem to have gone through so far in the book? they're both changing in positive ways but because they have to so it's too... forced

7. What do you think about what just happened to Lilac? Where you expecting it? I'm so sad! I hope she comes back to life... I mean she HAS to come back to life, what kinda story would this be if she didn't!
8. Do you think Tarver is less likely to survive after what has happened to Lilac? No I mean.. I'm pretty sure he's gonna survive because of the interrogation bits
9. Do you think the answer to their problems lies withing the building that they just blew up? Yes!

Okay booooooo I just finished.. I agree with what everyone else is saying I guess.. It was good at first then got boring then got confusing and then got weird and ended a little happy..

I just don't know what to think about it... So much happened with that building I don't think I really even grasp it all... I def won't be reading the second one

I agree wholeheartedly with everything you just said. I want to try the 2nd one though since its a new story with new characters and everything so it might be a lot better. :)

I guess everyone who participated in this buddy read , with the exception of Sarah, who had already read the book, did not enjoy it very much. I think this book could have a lot better. I felt around midway the style of writing also changed, as if someone else was writing it.

I'll read the second book too. It could be better than this, but I hope God, there aren't twists like this one.

It was written by two authors, so it's quite possible that the second half really was written by a different person!

It won't be published until this december ☺ I'll definitely read it when it comes out though.
Funnily enough I read one of Meagan Spooner other books and really didn't like it.

Can I just say how happy I am that this beautiful cover actually ties in with the story! Too often I see a gorgeous cover that has nothing to do with the book (sneaky publishers just trying to draw us in), but this one matches the book perfectly!

I usually like odd names, but I have to say that the strangest I have ever come across is the name 'Shitole' which is literally pronounced 'sh*t-hole' - and yes, I met this person in real life.

Another bad one is 'Drew Peacock' which looks and sounds fine, until you realise that it sounds incredibly like 'droopy-c*ck' - http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/...

I gave it 3. It didn't work for me. I think this is one of the few books that has garnered high ratings from most of the people but not me. Usually the books that get really high ratings from others, get high ratings from me too. But somehow this didn't work for me.

Ok, i know i'm late to this discussion, but i finished this book a few days ago and wanted to weigh in. i wasn't overly impressed.

i felt like this book was a little bit like that t.v. show Lost. It started good, and I was interested in the premise, but then it didn't quite live up to it's potential.

i think the ending left me some questions bout how (view spoiler)[ the beings were able to transfer their last bit of energy to Lilac before they either died or released (hide spoiler)] yeah, confusing.
