adding secondary author name to book

Hi, I was combining an old edition with a new one that has an alternate spelling of the author's name but the non-GR profile won't stick.

Trying to add the author name K. Black to this book,

(The workaround for adding similar names as secondary is:
1. Add some placeholder text as the secondary author
2. Go to the new author profile created by your placeholder text
3. Change the name on the profile to the correct author name
Otherwise the system helpfully prevents the duplicate names!)

As long as the name to be changed-TO isn't a Goodreads author.

Thanks, will try that method next time. Sometimes I don't have problems adding non-GR profiles with GR author profiles but like in this case, I really don't know why it won't stick from my end.
