Dawn (breakofdawn) | 860 comments MrsJ - I don't know if you are still interested in Mice and Mystics, but if so, J noticed it's back in stock some places. The best deal he saw was Jet.com, with 15% off and free shipping you can get it for $48.

You know, I just got my copy recently! I paid a bit more than that but it was not too much.

I like it! I'm not sure I'm playing right but it's still fun, lol.

Dawn (breakofdawn) | 860 comments Hey MrsJ - based on your interest in Mice and Mystics, I have another game recommendation for you: Arcadia Quest.

It's a little pricey, but my husband and I have been playing and I actually like it quite a bit more than M&M. I really like the mechanics of the minions, you don't have to do as much moving and attacking with them because of the way they behave. It's really cute and fun, we have been having a good time playing it.

Anyway, so yeah. Just thought I'd throw it out there!

Dude. Jasmine. OMG. I don't think its possible that she could be any more annoying. I was telling Dre last night that I owed you an apology for her being...her.

Dawn (breakofdawn) | 860 comments Lol, I'm not worried about it. I'm just wondering if everyone is confused as to why I'm there? I just accept the challenges. Even though that one is crazy. 18k steps before 10am? PFFT! I'm just going to sit here and eat my Snickers at my desk. It's Wednesday and the top person has 83k steps! WTF? I look lazy.

No. That's really just her. I don't know anyone in that group besides her and Devon (and I know her through Devon). She ran some other poor girl right off awhile ago. Out of pure annoying-ness.

And I've been talking about those steps all week!! That's insane! I'm walking like 2miles during lunch every day and no where near!

I'm really thinking that he's tied his to the dog. Cause no. Isn't that something like 43 MILES? You're the math expert but at roughly 10k = 5 miles... No. It's Wednesday.

I declare SHENANIGANS!

Cameron Smith (cameronwaynesmith) | 8 comments I absolutely loved the Mass Effect series, it combined a lot of my favourite elements, and I really was upset when it ended the way it did! Stupid Reapers. I'm glad that the series is getting a new episode next year.

I enjoy Gears of War too, nothing like having a few beers with a mate while chainsawing through a horde of monsters! Done a few chapters on 4 and loving it! It's a bit sad to see couch co-op disappearing fast with the latest generation of consoles, but this game still rocks, unlike Halo which turned into a generic online shooter after 3 (My opinion-I played 4 and hated it, bought and loaded 5 but didn't even finish a level).

Xenoblade Chronicles X is also probably one of the most under rated new game I've played. The combat system kind of sucked, the story was alright, but exploring that world? Man that will be one of my favourite gaming experiences for quite a while, a nice change from the repetetiveness of Fallout or Elder Scrolls. If you want to become fully immersed in an alien world where every square inch looks completely different, you can't go past this!

Yeah video games consume too much of my time!

message 160: by MrsJoseph *grouchy*, Bad Girls Deadlift (new)

MrsJoseph *grouchy* (mrsjoseph) | 5312 comments Hmmm. I've been watching people play through games on Youtube lately. Maybe I should try Mass Effect & Halo. I've never played those - but I don't really do FPS.

And I agree. Hubby and I love on-couch co-op (and I hate split screen). I think it's silly they want everyone to play in their own house instead of with friends.

Started playing good old Prince of Persia for the Sega Master System lately. That was the first time I managed to beat the first level. I'm also once more playing Pirates! Gold (Sega Genesis).

Michelle Kobus (rainbowsunset) | 123 comments I'm currently playing Skyrim and Game of Thrones (Telltale Games) on the Xbox One. I like playing video games, but I'm a total spaz at them, so I don't actually like to play against real people because I will lose. Every. Single. Time. I'm mostly into fantasy RPGs, The Sims, and Need for Speed. I love the creepy atmosphere of horror games but I'm too chicken to ever finish one; if more horror movies were ever that scary, I'd think better of them! :)

Mike (the Paladin) (thepaladin) | 1381 comments Yeah I'm still into GD but on Fridays we have a table-top D&D game.About 6 of us now.

MrsJoseph *grouchy* (mrsjoseph) | 5312 comments I;m waiting for the GD DLC to come out. The devs keep teasing us with some of the goodies and I am SO HERE for it all.

message 169: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) Yesterday, we went to PAX East and got to see many of the games either in development or being released soonish. There's a lot of good stuff being released, especially if you are into PC gaming.

It seems like PAX East is becoming more popular and more like a ComicCon though. A lot more people and a lot of cosplay. The last time was in 2015 and it was definitely a different vibe.

message 170: by MrsJoseph *grouchy*, Bad Girls Deadlift (new)

MrsJoseph *grouchy* (mrsjoseph) | 5312 comments I've never been to any cons. Maybe next year.

message 171: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) I've been lucky because my husband's friend gets passes for free. We've been able to get them for PAX East and NY Comiccon. But, last year NY Comicon changed how they do their tickets and he couldn't get any. I think going forward NY Comicon will be out for us unless we pay and to be honest, it's so damn crowded now it's not worth it. People were up in arms last year about the crowding issue.

MrsJoseph *grouchy* (mrsjoseph) | 5312 comments I've been reading! I wish I had the nerve to do that, too. I have too many games that I've never even attempted.

message 173: by [deleted user] (new)

I'm once again in a Fighting Fantasy frenzy. The good thing is that you can play fantasy games and even improve your challenge stats while doing so.

True! Or one that's weird. I love Transistor's soundtrack but the gameplay is confusing as all hell. I can't even with that game. But the soundtrack is lovely.

Thaddeus White | 69 comments Bit late, but MrsJoseph: if you play Mass Effect (the first three, anyway) choose to be FemShep rather than ManShep. Jennifer Hale's voice acting as the lady protagonist is very, very good.

How are the controls for Mass Effect?

message 179: by Thaddeus (new)

Thaddeus White | 69 comments The first three?

Combat's a bit clunky in the first one. Not broken or anything, just could be smoother. And it is, in the second and third.

Do you need both joysticks to move? Like Borderlands? Ididn't like that.

message 181: by Thaddeus (new)

Thaddeus White | 69 comments I've not played Borderlands.

I think it's the old left stick to move character, right stick to move camera.

Ugh. I'm terrible with those - I always end up staring at the sky spinning in circles while getting massacred.
