Why such low/medium ratings?

There are a lot of reasons I like it, but there are MORE reasons I didn't. It's probably because against my reasoning, and there were some loose ends, still. For example, (view spoiler)[what happened to Robert and Victor? Victor's body was left lying around in some place, what happens when the humans found it? Despite his evil schemes, I think he still deserves a proper burial.

Rose almost left everyone behind, technically. Adrian was right, he can't just watch her happy ending. What about Sydney and how did the Alchemists dealt with her? What about Jill and her now royal life? What about Emily and/or John? What about Eddie? AND WHAT ABOUT ADRIAN?! I especially didn't like how Rose handled that breakup! I was so mad :-(

Well, if we think about it, Richelle Mead was smart leaving all of those questions, that way she kind of "force" us to read Bloodlines, because if you read the synopsis you can tell it contains a lot of the answers. And hopefully, a happy ending for Adrian.

I thought it was funny that, Adrian said that Sydney seemed a bit stuck up, so I want to see how's going to be their relationship in Bloodlines, because Adrian always worshiped Rose, and chased her, and I want to see a bit different Adrian with Sydney :) (hide spoiler)]

It was obvious Rose is going to end up wit Dimitri, it just really annoyed me that Dimitri has been saying he can't steal a woman from a man he truly respects (which is Adrian) then this happens, like he's not guilty! I know he loves her, but...you know what I mean.

I get what you meant about getting answers in Bloodlines, but it would also have been better if it also left answers for this series, alone.

Just when I thought I couldn't get angrier reading this series, this book happens and feels like took 200 pages of plot and told it in 3 times that. :/

So much of this is "well we're going to do this, and we should do that" that it's actually more of the book than the action.

Also, they do a detour at a place of ABSOLUTELY no consequence for so long and it literally affects nothing - not a single thing. And not much happens in the other plotline so I just have no idea why it happened other than future set up for the spinoffs which I hate
