Dad was still smiling but I could tell he had turned serious because he slowed down his speech. "You don't. You just work through it. You just hang in there." This quote shows that life may not always be the same, but you will have to hang on through the rough times. Right now in the book, Mia is going through a hard time, she needs to hang in there. 4:39 PM (29% done): (view spoiler)[ Wow...Kim and Mia used to hate each other when they were younger. It is funny to learn how their friendship actually started out of not liking each other. I think that their friendship is authentic and interesting. Also, I think the quote "People believe what they want to believe." is an honest statement. There is always going to be someone who judges you based on certain characteristics or rumors. Those are things people want to believe, even if they are not true. (hide spoiler)]

I loved when he said: "Mia, Mia, Mia," he said, stroking the tendrils of my hair that had escaped from the wig. "This is the you I like. You definitely Dressed sexier and are, you know, blond, and that's different. But the you who you are tonight is the same you I was in love with yesterday, the same you I'll be in love with tomorrow. I love that you're fragile and tough, quiet and kick-ass. Hell, you're one of the punkest girls I know, no matter who you listen to or what you wear." If I was his girlfriend, I would kiss him. Chapter 5: (view spoiler)[ I am loving this book. I get where Adam is coming from. However, I think he should not take his anger and frustration out on Kim. I did like it when he did it to the report, but Kim is a friend, he should never treat friends like that. On that note, I do have to say that I really liked the fact that we get to see his anger and frustration come out. It makes him more relatable and interesting. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 9: (view spoiler)[ My Heart broke in this chapter. This is the chapter that explains how they broke up. Also, I feel so bad for Adam. He really tried to make things work with Mia. It must have broken him to have to let her go. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 16: (view spoiler)[ Finally they talk about why they broke up. I think Mia's reasons were valid, but I think she should have called him. It is nice to know that she is not that selfish. I have to add that I love how all the even chapters begin with song lyrics. (hide spoiler)]

Short books plus I've read them before. It is more of a refresher.

No, I read those books slower because there are big books probably like 3-5 days.

I think I really loved the story because of the family dynamic. It really got me. I know it is not that popular of a book series, but I loved them both equally.

I think that it is pretty popular. Most people know of them.

I can't remember the second one much haha.

The second one is my fav out of the two.

I found it sad that Mia only stayed with Adam after the first month because of the way he was around her family... Not a good sign. But the way they 'played' each other was hard to imagine... And kind of weird. (hide spoiler)]

Review: 3rd time reading this one. And it's still an emotional rollercoaster. I have to say I prefer the movie, but the book still sends me over the edge if I want it to, if I try hard enough for it to. This ending, I just love it so much. And that moment with her Gramps <3 I love (view spoiler)[the effort that Adam puts into everything, and how he isn't afraid to act normal in front of her parents, the way he blows on her hands even in their presence. I love Adam. (hide spoiler)] I also really like the way Mia is still her own person, and that her and Adam haven't fused together, that they still have their own ambitions. (view spoiler)[I like the way Mia doesn't cave to Adam, like when he was asking her to play cello with him. She didn't break and say yes. And I like the way she knows she doesn't like Adam's rock concerts, and doesn't trick herself into thinking she does, but she goes for him. (hide spoiler)] I really enjoyed this book. Not sure if I should, because of the plotline, but I did. I feel like not that much happened in it, but I loved all of the background information we got, all of the character relationships. I'll be reading the second book soon.
