Hello, I'm currently running a Goodreads giveaway for "Nouvelles d'Amérique centrale" (French edition, therefore not of interest to everybody...).
I would like to promote it with an ad targeted at... French-speaking countries (surprise, surprise) BUT
I just can't seem to be able to create an ad to promote the GIVEAWAY, not the book.
...And I haven't seen any "how to" explanation in the Author Program, just a slide with an example of an ad and the mention that it would bring more entries...
How to do it in the ad panel?
1) I choose "other" instead of "book" 2) I enter the url of the giveaway in the "destination url"
Creating an ad with the giveaway is sort of a waste of time. I mean, my giveaway is going strong for it being open for only 3 days, but the ad isn't the reason why people are entering. In fact, the ad has only gotten 2 clicks with a $5.00 budget allowed daily.

... and it doesn't look at all as the sample ad for giveaways that one can see on slide 4 here: https://www.goodreads.com/author/how_to
What did I miss?
