I'm about half way through and although it isn't entirely what I was expecting, the writing quality is lovely and I'm thoroughly enjoying it. I don't have much reading time until the weekend, but I'm intrigued by the mysterious Mr Black.
Has anyone else read Bellman & Black? I've reached around the 2/3 mark and I'm to struggling to hold interest. I'm caring less about the characters (and there are not many) and despite wanting to know what the end will reveal, I'm not sure I want to invest much more time on it. I certainly wouldn't call it a ghost story!So tempted just to read the last chapter - naughty me!
FINISHED! and Without reading last chapter ahead of time.I liked Bellman & Black, but didn't love it. Great prose and certainly well written, but for me, it needed a bit more going on. 4 stars despite that.
