I read "Clapton" a few Christmas' ago. As a musician who loves the blues, music from the 1960-1970's when Clapton, Beck, Oskar, Winwood, Mayall, Zappa, Chippolina, Spence, Musselwhite, Lee, Santana, McLaughlin and so many others influenced me, they also introduced me to character flaws that were disastrous to many. Eric Clapton deals with this from a famous star and yet a humble man's perspective. He comes out well and seems to be working to share solutions given of God to us all. I totally recommend this to anyone as a real look at real people and one leading to the light.

While I stuck with the book to the end it wasn't easy reading about all the sexual and alcoholic binge memories. He never writes ill of anybody that I could remember. Could do without all the tour and flight schedules. And just how much money did this guy have? Apparently he only took a loan out once to help buy his 150 foot yacht. The tales of excess and wealth got tiresome to me. Would not read it again as once was enough.
