"Okay, that's good," Bree replied with a smile. "She probably made steak, salad and mashed potatoes or something like that."
Bree-Anikalyn led him to the dining room, which already had the placements set and two tweenaged boys sat together, whispering to each other. They glanced up when Bree and Bones walked in.
"Who are you?" the one with brown hair questioned Bones, at the same time the other -who had slightly more reddish hair- asked, "What room is he staying in?"
"A guest, and that's none of your business. I don't want you to bother him," Bree-Anikalyn explained as she sat down, gesturing for Bones to sit next to her, away from the twins.

"We can hear you," the twins sangspoke, rolling their eyes at him before returning to their whispers.
Bree-Anikalyn shrugged. "My brothers." She bobbed her head, realizing she could at least elaborate. "At this ranch, most of us were foster kids who were taken care of by Nonni and Papa over some summers. Some of us were adopted by them, then." She shrugged again. "The two annoying ones over there are Bobby and Drake. I have four more older brothers, also. I'm the only girl."

Bree-Anikalyn laughed quietly. "It's tough. I have to learn to hold my own. But I guess it's also good, too. If I can't handle six brothers then I definitely can't handle all of the horses I have to train or work with."
((Have you decided what species he is?))
((Have you decided what species he is?))
((It's fine, I was just curious.))
"What about you?" Bree asked as three other young men files into the room, messing with Bree's hair as they passed, waving a greeting to Bones.

Bones wave friendly at those who waved at him. "I was the only male in a house full of women. My was single and I had two younger sister." he said.
((Bye.))
Bree-Anikalyn grimaced. "So you get it." Then she smiled. "I could leave here but I don't know where I would go, plus they're the only family I've known, so..." She shrugged.

Bones nodded slightly "Yeah, but it really wasn't that bad" he said. "I just left, because I wanted to travel. I just don't really have the money to do it. So I'm stuck in the states" he said.
((Sure. Whatever you choose.))
"Oo..." Bree nodded thoughtfully. "The States are still cool, though. If you could leave, where would you go?"

Another older man sauntered into the dining room and sat down close to the end, the last of the siblings, followed by Nonni and Papa. Bree-Anikalyn smiled to them before looking back to Bones. "Those places sound awesome. I would go to Ireland, then Scotland and afterward France."

Bree-Anikalyn nodded as her family dished up, passing the food from person to person. Finally the food came to Bree, and afterward she handed it to Bones. "I was born in Ireland," she mentioned.

Bree shrugged, a small frown on her face. "I don't remember much," she said after a moment, then shook her head. "Where are you from?"

"Oh, that's cool," Bree-Anikalyn commented, then chewed some salad and swallowed.
((Do you want to skip? The next day, maybe?))
((Okay.))
The next morning, Bree-Anikalyn had woken up a bit earlier than everyone else, and couldn't fall back asleep. It was around two in the morning, but she decided to get up anyway. She dressed quickly, wearing a t-shirt that showed her wings. She didn't consider that Bones would see her, and everyone in her knew what she was, and didn't have a problem with it.
She spent some of the morning in Nightwing's stall with him, brushing him down and tacking him up with her trick riding saddle before bringing him out to the training pen, which was large enough to practice trick riding.

Bree had already mounted Nightwing, and they were cantering around the pen. She slowly stood up in the saddle before jumping up in the air to release her wings, hovering in midair before Nightwing galloped back into place and she dropped back into the saddle.

"Ack!" Bree-Anikalyn screamed, dismounting mid-stride and pulling Nightwing to block her back from Bones. "I'm a what?" she questioned nonchalantly.

"A thing? Thanks a lot." Bree-Anikalyn scowled, dropping her head. She stayed silent for a moment before saying, "I'm a griffin," so quietly that her voice could barely be heard.

Bree gawked at him. "And you're just fine with meeting someone who isn't human? Doesn't that bother you? Even a little bit?" She took a step closer to the edge of the arena, then moved to stand next to him, pulling Nightwing along with her.
"Wait, what?" Bree-Anikalyn looked up at his face with a frown, trying to decide if he was messing with her or not.
"Wow..." Bree studied his face. "Have you ever met another... non-human before?"
Bree-Anikalyn thought. "What's a striga?" she questioned, knitting her eyebrows together.

Bree-Anikalyn shuddered. "That's horrible," she whispered, leaning her head on Nightwing's neck.
"That is good," Bree agreed. She looked around warily, checking to see if any of her family were around. "So.. You're not going to tell anyone what you saw?"
Bree-Anikalyn blushed. "Well, the main reason why I stay here is because I can't trust anyone else with knowing. My family knows, but that's pretty much it. They don't want anyone experimenting on me."

"I can't leave," Bree mumbled, and shrugged. "Yeah. I guess so."

"Oh..." Bree sighed. "Okay. You don't have to leave this early, though." She pulled Nightwing and tied him to the fence before jumping over it.
