Me too, especially when I am in certain classes. (*cough* maths *cough* science*) I will sit there and day dream certain book scenes that have seemed to stick with me.
- Most of them are when the main character (almost always a girl) is kicking butt. =D
I loove girl power!

I want every psychic power and every magic known to man .I want to be a ghost when I want to,I want to fly when I want-in other words I want it all,
And I do love that , no orgies please ! It made my day.

Etsy.com. go to the Alchemy section. If you can find a picture of it, post it and how much you're willing to spend, and someone will likely offer to make it for you. It's also a great way to get pretty much any sort of unique hand made thing you want.

Keryl Raist (kerylraist) | 66 comments On the fantasy character front, I'm the healer. Probably a Cleric of some sort. One of the great perks of the cleric type class is you can fight a little, you can cast a little, and you can heal a lot. It's a really versatile character type.

You'll see me in chainmail, mace in one hand, holy symbol in the other, smiting the evil with the power of my god, and then off to fix up the other heroes.

Kerri (kerrimcbooknerd) If I were the main character, I would be the goofy, clumsy kind that sort of stumbles upon some hidden power. Not to mention gullible... I mean, if we're basing this off my actual personality, lol. If not, I would be some bad ass warrior who could kick a man's head off and not even break a sweat!

message 56: by Poppy (new)

Poppy Mmm. That's tough. I'd want to be someone completely different from my real personality, so it's hard to decide what kind of character I'd want to be. I really don't like stereotypes, so I wouldn't want to be the girl next door, or the girl who finds out she's got some secret power... I wouldn't mind being Hermione in a spin off of her adventures as an adult witch.

message 57: by Hayley (new)

Hayley Stewart (haybop) I'd be happy seeing myself as someone who can hold her own in a fight but not magical or psychic & is a bit like myself in that I'm stupidly practical/logical and do have a slight temper on me when I do get annoyed(see 'slight' read 'nuclear - head to the shelters - kiss your loved ones goodbye'... but it takes a lot to get me angry now 0:D)
It's not that I'm unimaginative but I just like to read of characters who may be good in a fight but overall are just normal people in abnormal situations (I say good in a fight because D-I-D hiding behind a guy with a sword gets me miffed).

If i were a charater in a book, i would like to have some pyschic or mind reading abilities, but also be able to move things with my mind.. and put up a kick as fight if need be :D

Athanasios (athanos) One word: Conan.

Sayyeda (literaryhues) | 36 comments If I were a character, I'd want to be a sky pirate or a bounty huntress. :)

message 61: by Joe (new)

Joe (skinsjoe) | 100 comments I think I would want to be a normal human, set in a world of wizards and witches. They would look at me as the weaker one, but of-course I would be the hero in the end.

message 62: by Claude (new)

Claude Dancourt (claudedancourt) | 32 comments Actually, I'd like to be able to be any character, from any book, but after the book ends. Being Morgan or Arthur after he is brought to Avalon, being Aeneas after he became a king in the Latium, or Eowyn after the end of the LOTR. Oh, and if I can, be Chloe Sullivan-Queen after the end of Smallville...

That's a pretty cool wish.

The only thing I might add to it is the power to ignore certain books that really shouldn't have been written later in the series.

(Like, say, I'd love to put on Dalamar from DragonLance for a bit, but not with the way Hickman and Weis eventually ended those stories.)

message 64: by Naomi (new)

Naomi (nayohmee-elise) Okay: this is the best question ever!

First off, I would probably be some sort of magician that could KICK BUTT and have a strong voice.

My character would be heartfelt and strong willed. Also, they would be an EXCELLENT cook, and would have a very loving family:-) much like my own!

message 65: by Chris (new)

Chris (bibliophile85) | 26 comments I've always seen myself as the whisperer in the shadows, the puppetmaster, the man who secretly controls the kingdom....my selection is obvious....I would be the evil, manipulative advisor/vizir/counselor who really is the one with power.

Oh, I would get what's coming to me before the end of the book/series.....but boy would I have a blast until then being this despicable, slimy villain ;)

message 66: by L.Y. (new)

L.Y. Levand (lylevand) Lol. This is an awesome conversation.

I'd want to be like Galadriel or Elrond from Lord of the Rings. Powerful, wise, but not a major player. I would sooo want to live in Lothlorien...
