I really enjoyed this book to the point where I read the last 6 chapters in one night, I couldn't put it down. I loved the characters, they were all individually unique to the story. Although this unusual love story is quite predictable at times, I still really enjoyed it. Cant wait to watch the film.

Ha! Join the club! :)
Good luck on your reading and on cleaning up those piles of books!

This is my weakness too! I base everything on the cover because what's better than pretty books on your bookshelf, even better when they are cheap. In fact I may have just bought a load more books because there was was a sale. I mean how can you say no 10 books for £10. Haha oh well.

Despite hearing a lot of bad things about this book, I have to say that I quite liked it. Although I do share the same views about the whole young girl/older guy thing. I definitely need to see the film.

I decided to re-read this book as I read it about 5 years ago and couldn't remember quite what happened but I remembered it was good. Well let's just say I must have a bad memory because I didn't feel anything from this book. I think it has a good idea, but it drags.

Despite this being a short book it took me ages to read, it was just so boring. I mean I get the moral and everything but it could of got to it much quicker.

So I heard quite a lot of bad things about this book but I have to say I thought it was really good and I can't wait to read the next one.

I read this as apart of the February group read as I didn't know what else to read and thought why not. In truth I tried to read this book a while back but only got half way through because I was so bored of the story. Second time around was pretty much the same and It took me ages to get past the point of boredom, but I have to say the second half of this book wasn't as bad, I just needed to keep reading.

This was a lovely, dark and exciting book, only short but full of great imagery. I would recommend this to anyone.

I went in to this book expecting it to be better than the film as it's one of my favourite films and I've heard great things about Neil Gaiman as a writer. However I was left disappointed I personally think that the film is soooo much better than the book. I didn't realise how different it was to the original story. Maybe I would feel differently if I wasn't so in love with the film.

I almost feel the exact same way as you! I first watched the film not even knowing that it was a book first and was blown away by how awesome it was. Reading the book was good as well, BUT.. it was just different.
Don't give up on Gaiman just yet. Try Graveyard Book or Neverwhere, which are two others of his that I have read and loved. A lot of people really like American Gods but I didn't quite care for it.

It is different! I think the book just lacks the comedy and theatrics, which the film has in buckets.
Don't worry I wont give up just yet haha, I tried reading The Graveyard Book a while back but just couldn't get in to it. but I've heard good things about Neverwhere and I think that's more my scene so ill give that a go.

10. Cross My Heart and Hope to Spy - Ally Carter.
These are the first two books in the Gallagher Girls series and I have to say I am absolutely loving the books. They're easy reading, a bit cheesy at times but I love them. I absolutely must buy the rest of the series to see what happens.
I've figured that I need to read at least one book a week to reach my target of 50 completed books this year. woo that's a challenge.
I've already finished reading one book this year and about a quarter through my next. so fingers crossed.
