Hey guys! And how do I find an old post if I’m on the mobile version of the site? Thanks in advance for any help!
Leila
On the mobile version of the website (not the mobile app), click your profile image in the upper-right corner. In the drop-down menu, select "Comments".
There's a link to this "Mobile version" at the bottom of the page, just below the copyright line "(c) 2019 Goodreads, Inc."

Maybe it would be good to include a mention of the new-ish "My Group Topics" and "My Group Comments" links found in the main group-page sidebar (just above the search bar) in the instructions for how to find past comments/threads? I'm not sure if those are available in the app but it's a much easier way to find our comments than the past methods if you are on the mobile/desktop versions of GR.
To find an old thread or topic: Go to the homepage of this group. On the right side you will see the words “Group Home” with several options below it. Several lines below that is an link that says “My Group Topics.” Click on that and you will be able to see the threads or topics that you have started.

You'll need to switch to the full desktop website. If you're using the mobile website (not app), you can scroll to the bottom and click "Desktop version".

I'm just commenting so I can find my name in this post to get to my comment history. Sorry bout that.. :(

The group's home page has links to "My Group Comments" and "My Group Topics."

(Update) 2. Your comments page for this group -- Another method: Rollover (hover over) your avatar next to any comment you made in this group. Click "See Comment History" in the small popup.."
When I hover, I just see my name come up, and it disappears if I try to click on it.

Keep trying, sometimes you have to finesse it.

Finesse it how? There's a gap between where the cursor is and my name. If I move the cursor across the gap, my name disappears. Maybe my name is too short?

I finally realised people are talking about the avatar! I've been hovering over my name. Working now! Might have realised quicker if I actually had a proper avatar.

A faster way is to click on "My Group Comments" or "My Group Topics" on the group's home page above the moderator avatars.

I know what you mean. I think it's a relatively new feature (c. 2019?).

Its been a few months since I created a thread trying to find a book, without receiving replies. How do I "bump" my thread?

I can't seem to find the thread I started. Can you help?
Cynthia wrote: "I can't seem to find the thread I started. Can you help?"It doesn't appear that you have started one yet (with this user account anyway). (See Message 123 in this thread for directions on how to find your comments.)
Hi, I read the first post regarding the answer to the question posed (finding old posts) but I couldn't find a comment (??) with my name to hover above and then click. I usually type in the search bar the key words I used (they are quite specific) to bump the thread once a month, but I tried typing in the keywords I typically used and it didn't work... Is there another way to find our old posts? Thanks in advance!
Yes, if you're on the Group Home page, then in the upper right, you should see "Group Home" in boldface. A few lines down are the links "My Group Topics" and "My Group Comments". You'll find your old threads that you started under "My Group Topics."
I posted a post in the "What's The Name Of That Book" and got an email that I omitted the genre. But now I can't find the post to correct it. Musta got deleted. Is there a way to find out?The Goodreads app was very poor, always harassing me to grant access to my contacts, so I uninstalled it and now use the web version. It seems very rough and crudely put together.

Yes, the app is quite limited. Only the full Desktop version of the website gives you access to all of the group functions. (If you did use the app, you could email yourself this link to your comments in this group: https://www.goodreads.com/group/185-w....)

REMINDER:
You can find your requests by clicking "My Group Topics" on our Group Homepage, in the right-hand column (above the "Search discussion posts" box). This only works on the full Desktop website and Mobile website.
