@ Sia, maybe you could help Hannah with the challenges. You could split the list in half and oversee and plan those.
I don't want to complain, but I'm not really okay with how Gina started a topic in the roleplay section naming it "Group Roleplay" :(
@Gina I didn't want to post that in your topic, but there is a topic "Create a Character", where people can post their characters to keep public group roleplay topics clean. In addition I would have prefered it if you would have given the roleplay a proper name something like "Pre-made Roleplay "The Magic Forest"" Or something like this, with Pre-made RP everyone can see it's a public group RP and with the name it's easy to see what it's about.
I don't mind people starting RPs, but I'd prefer the naming and use to be consistent.

I'll change the name right away.
Thanks for telling me.
Actually I'm starting to think it could be a lot of work, when people start using the roleplay section frequently! XD (since keeping the names clean will be hard O.O)

I already changed the name to the one that you suggested, because I liked it.
Next time if you want me to change, delete or add something fast you could send me a private message and I'll do it, no worries.
I think that the group RP wasn't very clear. I read all of the info and rules and I understood that you had the possibility to play with one person at a time the one on one. So I had the idea that maybe there was more members that want a group RP and that is why I set the setting and asked them to create a specific character for that setting and then wait and when no more people are joining we would start the group RP and of course more members can add their characters later on and continue the story.
Greetings.
Originally I planned, that Pre-made Roleplays are only made by mods (since you are a mod I don't see a problem here lol) and thought we could gather some ideas first (Pre-made Roleplay Suggestions) and after deciding on a theme together, start one.
And as I stated in Create a Character!, Characters for Pre-made (equals Group Roleplay) go there. So if a lot of people participate and some people join frequently, the character descriptions won't get lost. That way you can use a character in more than one RP, too. :)

I'm new at RP, I wanted to try it, but since I'm a writer I thought that I could give it a try and set a setting.
We could help each other in the future, since this folder is created by you.
Greetings.
I want to create the Suggestions for May BOTM on the March 31st and let it run till April 16th, does that sound alright? Or do you think people need more time to vote?
And is there a way to send a message to all Mods?(Since I'm supposed to ask everyone for their MOD BOTM suggestions)

(first thing: sorry for posting twice! lol) I think it's alright the way it is, but I have to admit I think that all GR groups are a little bit confusing. I always feel a little bit overwhelmed by the amount of informations and topics XD

The timing is a great idea- I'll definitely do the same for the SOTM!

We can put the discussion and if it doesn't work for two weeks I'll take it down.
Comments?
Would anyone be intrested in starting a board game challenge with me? :)
Something like:
1. First we'll create a board for everyone to play on, similar to Ludo, Latter Game, The Game of Life, Monopoly and so on. Each space will need a theme (e.g. Romance, Paranormal...) and maybe some special event spaces like go back 3 spaces, move again and stuff similar to that.
2. A mod is in charge for rolling a dice, for everyone who is participating.
3. If someone steps on a space with a theme, he/she has to read a book matching the theme and isn't allowed to move again before he/she finished reading a book, that matches the theme.
I think it could be fun to add some more rules and create a unique game together :)
I could even imagine a possible variation of Monopoly, where streets are certain books and when someone steps on a space with a certain book, the one who finishes reading the book fastest gets it :D And the one, who has most of the books wins? Don't know lol

And yeah- maybe it's who can get around the board fastest wins or something? Or in one month who reads the most?

Yeah, the original idea would be the one, who gets around the board fastest wins, but we can alter it to a who reads the most challenge :) So it never gets boring! lol Maybe there are other ways to use the board, at least I'll try to think about it! :)

Haha that sounds fantastic! And yeah I'll think too. We should also start the construction of the board- like what squares and whatnot :)
@Riya Maybe we can both design a game board and afterwards decide on the one we want to use? (Or maybe combine it somehow?)
@Hannah If you don't want to narrow it down further, you can still decide to keep everyone! XD But then this group has probably enough mods for the rest of your life lol

Riya wrote: "@Jasmin- that could work- but how do you plan on designing this board game? Also, wouldn't it be easier if we just brainstormed together? I don't mind making my own though :)"
Brainstorming together sounds fine, too :)
The easiest would be a picture with a lot of squares on it, like the paper you use for maths. Afterwards number it (giving the direction) and add the themes/event spaces/etc.
Here the goal would be to come to the end first, so question is what kind of themes/events do we want to have?
Maybe we can start with an easy one and create a more complicated one, while the easy one is running :D (I'd suggest to brainstorm via pm then lol) This way everyone will get accustomed to the way the concept works, too :) (Before we try to do complicated stuff! lol)

Awesome :D
And yeah that makes sense. I remember that this one group I'm in had a game similar to this, so I'll try to find that and ask her how she made the board game.
Well we could have like genres? or things on the cover? or stuff like that. I'm picturing the squares to be themes like the bingo challenge almost?
And yeah that sounds awesome!!!! We can definitely pm about a more complicated one after this easy one! :D
For the series of the month for April, Throne of Glass won. Throne of Glass is March's BOTM so do we still list ToG as part of the SoM or just go straight to Crown of Midnight (ToG#2)?

Sounds good to me Riya :)"
Awesome! I'll set that up in about a week :)

Hannah wrote: "So I was wondering if anyone know how R2R (Read to review) works? I'd like to do those but I don't know how to start it, how do we get new authors to offer their books for the program?"
I think you create a folder for R2R and hope authors start to offer their work. You can also start pming authors yourself, if you know they are planning a promotion.
Sometimes it even happened that authors wrote a message to me (probably mass message on GR) and asked me to review their book, since I liked a similar one. :)
If you need any help feel free to ask me, I love R2R! :) (I just stopped doing it right now, since I have a lot of books I want to read and want to concentrate on those >.< Last year I almost only read R2R books lol)

The way I've done it is that authors offer a certain number of ebooks and then people sign up and they receive the book for free and they have to write a review for the book (usually within a certain number of weeks). And if you can invite a couple authors to the group, the program really does pick up!
You need to keep the rules strict tho and make sure that people DO NOT back out once they have the copy. So you usually link the book in the post along with the author and the synopsis. List the number of copies. Thank the author. And then collect email addresses from the people and give them a deadline for when they should be done reading and have written a review. Stress that if they need extra time to let you know but missing a deadline will eliminate you from ever R2Ring in the group anymore.

Yeah- from past experience I've learned the same thing. If someone doesn't do what they signed up for, they definitely need a punishment since this is the author's hard work.

When do you get the results on the ultrasound?
I have to get my wisdom teeth taken out soon too and I am not looking forward to that :/

Yeah, I'm going to an oral surgeon to have it done and I will probably go with being asleep while they do it. It's kinda like the lesser of two evils. I don't really enjoy the feeling of being asleep while they do it but at the same time I know I don't want to be awake, you know? :)

I have to say I fell behind on Just One Year and I've been sprinting it all afternoon to catch up. I felt the same way about it, it was boring me. I think sprinting it this afternoon made it more enjoyable than reading three chapters a day, or maybe the section of the book I'm in right now is just better lol But I agree, I was getting a little bored with it.
@Hannah I think you aren't supposed to eat things that contain milk (I ate some pudding anyway lol), just not sure why anymore, you might want to google it XD
I got my wisdom teeth taken out like 4 years or so ago lol. At first my doctor (I was probably with a oral surgeon, too, at least I had to go to a hospital to get it done) wanted only to take out one pair and do the other pair a month or so later. I totally didn't want that! I mean it would probably totally suck to hurt and not be able to eat properly for a month and then do it all over again.. I was awake when it was done, so I was constantly protesting until they did both sides LOL (It was like: let's see how it goes and maybe we can remove all of them...)
It wasn't that bad and I think I was only half an hour in there. I never had anything done to my teeth before that, so it was kind of exiting XD (I couldn't take my chance by sleeping through it! LOL) And I think there are a few more risks, when you are sleeping, that aren't there when you are awake. (But one of my friends slept through it, so don't know)
Actually I recovered pretty fast. I was totally disappointed :( My friend had to stay at home for like 2 weeks and I had my operation on Thursday and was supposed to go to school on Monday again. That was soooo disappointing! I wanted a vacation XD But I remember sleeping most of the weekend and eating almost nothing. And not because it hurt, but because I wasn't hungry at all.
I was totally unlucky though >.< I got some kind of stomach virus and had to stay in bed for the whole day on monday. I simply wasn't able to stand, walk or sit for a long time. That was shocking! (Luckily something like that never happened to me again o.O) So be careful and stay away from people with diseases LOL And don't move around a lot. I remember I wasn't allowed to do sports for like 4 weeks even though I recovered fast.
