Meghan (meghancitylibrary) | 1582 comments That would be awesome!:D I've heard they're kinda difficult but once the teacher actually gives us the reading schedule I'll let you know how she's breaking it down and we can then go faster if we need too :D

message 52: by Meghan (new)

Meghan (meghancitylibrary) | 1582 comments Me too! Do you have them already? That way we could start when I have to start in class :)

message 53: by Meghan (new)

Meghan (meghancitylibrary) | 1582 comments Okay awesome do you want to start with the hobbit?? Or just read the trilogy??

message 54: by Meghan (new)

Meghan (meghancitylibrary) | 1582 comments I don't have to but I want too :)

message 55: by Meghan (new)

Meghan (meghancitylibrary) | 1582 comments Hannah: then we start with The Hobbit!! I'll let you know when I get the books so we can figure out when to start!! Also I'll look at the new section you added!! :D everything looks beautiful <3

message 56: by Meghan (new)

Meghan (meghancitylibrary) | 1582 comments I've heard some people think he's too much of a descriptive writer lol but I'm really excited too!!!

message 57: by Tachi (new)

Tachi That's pretty true, but in kinda a good way. His books seem longer because the author really goes into detail. When I read The Hobbit, I remember looking at a lot of detail.

message 58: by Tachi (new)

Tachi Detail's good, but sometimes the author puts too much detail. I remember reading how each dwarf was described>.< The first chapter was what, twenty-seven pages? I followed along on it with an audiobook, making the book seem to drag on when it came to description. I remember how Cassandra Clare's book had a lot of detail, but it described things I was interested in(like the Silent Brothers), and things I didn't really wanna hear about.

message 59: by Meghan (new)

Meghan (meghancitylibrary) | 1582 comments Gabby: Did you read all of The Lord of the Rings books?

Hannah: I agree I'm someone who doesn't want the author to spend three pages just talking about a tree! It's only a tree, lets move on! I don't need to know everything about it lol

message 60: by Tachi (new)

Tachi I only read the first one. Lol, i agree with you guys!! I prefer a book that focuses more on a plot and characters than a book that mainly focuses in description.

message 61: by Meghan (new)

Meghan (meghancitylibrary) | 1582 comments Exactly! That's why I like The Mortal Instruments series so much, there's always action!

message 62: by Meghan (new)

Meghan (meghancitylibrary) | 1582 comments That sounds like all good things!! Thanks for the update, hope he feels better soon!! :)!

message 63: by Meghan (new)

Meghan (meghancitylibrary) | 1582 comments I think that's a good idea! I don't have a e-reader though, so I don't know if I could help lol

message 64: by Tachi (new)

Tachi Really????? That's really great!!!!:D I'm with the ebook idea and I know this website that my teacher told the class about.

message 65: by Tachi (new)

Tachi It's this epub website called epubbud.com
Sure, what basic idea do you have for it?

message 66: by Tachi (new)

Tachi Hmm, something everyone would be interested in. How about a contest where everyone writes what would happen if one of their greatest wishes came true? I'll be sure to come up with something about tomorrow. When school starts, my brain starts working again:p

message 67: by Tachi (new)

Tachi O.O That's a really good idea!!

message 68: by Tachi (new)

Tachi This is another idea: have a monthly cover themed challenge. For example, Winter. There could be winter things on the cover like snow, ice, ice skates, or just things you'd expect to see in the winter time on the cover. Basically, a cover that goes with the theme of a month. Like since it's dystopian for January this month, a theme could be things you'd expect to see in the future. Idk, I just had this rush of thoughts.

message 69: by Tachi (new)

Tachi Sure!

message 70: by Tachi (new)

Tachi Yep, they do. They all seem fun, so I hope that they go successfully:)

message 71: by Meghan (new)

Meghan (meghancitylibrary) | 1582 comments All this ideas are amazing!! Sorry guys I haven't been on much it's been hectic where I live we're supposed to get a major snow storm! We've been preparing :(

message 72: by Meghan (new)

Meghan (meghancitylibrary) | 1582 comments So... remember that snow storm... it's been snowing since 6am this morning! It hasn't stopped!

message 73: by Tachi (new)

Tachi It's okay:) I hope that it passes by quickly and doesn't last too long.

message 74: by Meghan (new)

Meghan (meghancitylibrary) | 1582 comments It's wonderful but awful. Like I love it because it's perfect book reading weather but it means that we can't really go anywhere or do anything.

message 75: by Tachi (new)

Tachi Oh, so it's a win-situation. How high is the snow? Here in the west, we don't get any snow.

message 76: by Meghan (new)

Meghan (meghancitylibrary) | 1582 comments Right now we have about six inches of snow and it keeps snowing! It's as high as my front porch steps!!

message 77: by Tachi (new)

Tachi Wow!!!! O.O Does it snow even more overnight?

message 78: by Meghan (new)

Meghan (meghancitylibrary) | 1582 comments Usually :/ I have no idea how much we're supposed to end up with lol

Anna (Unquenchable Reads) (unquenchablereads) Hannah wrote: "Um how about a bingo game?

Meghan (meghancitylibrary) | 1582 comments Did you guys have a good weekend?!?

Anna (Unquenchable Reads) (unquenchablereads) Yeah! It was crazy busy though.

message 82: by Meghan (new)

Meghan (meghancitylibrary) | 1582 comments Anna: Same!! I barely had any time to read :(

message 83: by Meghan (new)

Meghan (meghancitylibrary) | 1582 comments Hannah: it was wonderful! I saw Luke Bryan in concert and I love uneventful weekends where you can just chill :)

message 84: by Tachi (new)

Tachi It was pretty good:) I'm coming up with ideas for new challenges and discussions. Plus, for the challenges we have so far, are they done on the 28th of February?

message 85: by Meghan (new)

Meghan (meghancitylibrary) | 1582 comments That sounds really exciting!! Ugh I've missed book talking with you guys, even though it was only for a couple days!

message 86: by Tachi (new)

Tachi Well we have the buddy read in six days!!:) I saw this book at Target and if we like it, I think I'll go out and buy it.

message 87: by Meghan (new)

Meghan (meghancitylibrary) | 1582 comments I know!! I'm so excited!!

message 88: by Meghan (new)

Meghan (meghancitylibrary) | 1582 comments This week was just so crazy hectic for me I didn't even have time to read :( But now I'm getting back on track from my insane weekend!

message 89: by Tachi (new)

Tachi It rained for the first time in the year!! It wasn't really heavy rainy, though. It was pretty light.

message 90: by Meghan (new)

Meghan (meghancitylibrary) | 1582 comments The first time this year?!? Really?!? lol We get snow and rain almost all the time from January to April :(

message 91: by Tachi (new)

Tachi Yep, we in California have gone into drought mode. I think it's called that. I wish that was the situation with us. Do you get to make snowmen?

message 92: by Meghan (new)

Meghan (meghancitylibrary) | 1582 comments Yeah, when we have lots of snow! It's good packing snow in New York! :) You should come visit the snow and I'll go visit the sun in California! lol

message 93: by Tachi (new)

Tachi New York is on my top places to visit bucket list!!! It seems to have really awesome things like Central Park. They have a really awesome Barnes and Noble store*_* I have to get a B in math in order to go the LA B&N when Tabereh Mafi visits to sign copies of Ignite Me. Team Warner!!
Wow, it's 9 already???????

message 94: by Meghan (new)

Meghan (meghancitylibrary) | 1582 comments Gabby: haha which Barnes and Noble are you talking about?? Literally there's one on almost every corner in New York City, I love it!!

The one I think you're talking about is the one that is four floors! It's incredible :)

You can totally do that!! :D

I think it's so funny because California is on my places to visit on my bucket list as well!! :D

Hannah: I hope you're feeling better!! :D How has the weather been by you?

message 95: by Meghan (new)

Meghan (meghancitylibrary) | 1582 comments Awwh we had some snow too but it's always snowing here! The problem is that it truns into gross slush here :(

message 96: by Meghan (new)

Meghan (meghancitylibrary) | 1582 comments I hate the slush but love the fluffy flaky snow! :) I'm not the biggest fan of messes and I feel like all you get with slush is messes! lol

message 97: by Meghan (new)

Meghan (meghancitylibrary) | 1582 comments haha exactly! Are you feeling better though? :)

message 98: by Meghan (new)

Meghan (meghancitylibrary) | 1582 comments That's good!! I'm at work all day and I got all my work done which means now I can sit and read for the next three hours! I'm reading some graphic novels because we start Just One Day tomorrow so I figured easy, short reads would be good! :)

message 99: by Meghan (new)

Meghan (meghancitylibrary) | 1582 comments Did we set up a section for suggestions for March's BOTM and SOTM yet?

message 100: by Meghan (new)

Meghan (meghancitylibrary) | 1582 comments lol okay, do you want me to set it up? I know you've got lots of buddy-reads going on plus reading on your own lol :D
