Rat glanced at her and sighed. "Please. I don't want to hurt you more, so you should go...."
Scarlet felt her heart break. She stepped back with tears rushing down her cheeks. "You just did." She said sadly and walked towards the door.
Rat watched her and mentally slapped himself. You idiot! He groaned and shook his head to himself.
Scarlet was about to open the door and leave but couldn't. "Gosh dang it!" She told herself. Then she turned around and walked back up to Rat. "I'm not leaving, Rat. I will never leave your side even if you tell me to. I care about you." She said and sat down next to him.
Rat groaned and stood up. "Listen. Scarlet. I've hurt you so many times already. I'm not going to let myself again. So if you don't go, I will." He turned towards the door.
Scarlet grabbed his arm gently and pulled him back close to her. "I can take all the beatings. I don't care. I'll do anything to be with you." She said.
Rat ripped his arm from her grip and shook his head. "Well I can't take dealing them out. So I am leaving.Unless you do now."
Scarlet grabbed Rat by his shirt and pulled him close. Then she kissed him quickly and pulled away. "Now I'm leaving." She whispered and headed towards the door.
Rat stood there awkwardly, but didn't protest against her kiss, but also didn't kiss her back. He nodded and headed back towards his bed.
Ivy paced back and forth infront of the door. She bit her lip and finally stopped. She had a pile of papers in her hands. She reached out and knocked. Biting her lip
Rat was halfway asleep when he heard the knock on his door. He needed to sort through some stuff and he hadn't been to his classes in a few days. Even though he know he should've. He sighed and rolled out of his bed, heading towards the door. He opened it and froze when he saw Ivy.
Ivy looked up at him. "I-I.brought your books.. And homework and stuff.." She whispered
Rat bit his lip and nodded slightly. "Oh...umm...thanks." He whispered back.
Ivy held out her hands carrying the papers
Rat slowly took the papers and sighed. He wasn't sure what to say. He wanted to apologize again, but he was pretty sure she didn't want to hear it again.
Ivy looked up again. "Are you okay?" She asked
Rat looked down at her and shook his head. "Are you okay?"
Ivy heart hurt. "I'm..." She soho her head. "Worried about you.."
Rat sighed and started to reach his hand out to caress her cheek or something, before dropping his hand. "Don't be worried. I'll....I'll be okay." Eventually.
Ivy nodded. "I just thought I should come and check up on you... Giving you homework have me an opportunity to come by.."
Rat tried to smile at her, but it didn't look exactly right. "Oh. Well thanks for checking on me..." He murmured, biting his lip softly.
Ivy looked up and reached out cupping his check. She pulled him close and embraced him.
Rat froze for a moment, but wrapped his arms around her waist and hugged her back. He let out a sigh and buried his face in the crook of her neck. "I'm still terribly sorry..." He whispered, her hair muffling his words slightly.
"I forgive you Rat... I..." She squeezed him tightly. Rubbing his back slightly. "Care about you.."
"You..." He pulled away slightly and looked into her eyes. "You....care....about me?" He asked in surprise. He would have figured after what he did, she wouldn't even really want to talk to him.
Ivy grabbed his hand. "Of course I do Rat! Everyone makes some mistakes! You aren't a bad person!" She whispered
Rat squeezed her hand slightly and tried to smile again. His other hand brushed hair off of her forehead.
Ivy gazed into his eyes. "Please... Come out with me? Maybe a walk in the trails that go around the ship?"
Rat moved his hand down a little bit and caressed her cheek. He nodded slowly. "O-okay..."
She smiled and leaned into his beautiful touch. "Thank you.." She whispeded
He dropped his hand and stepped back inside. He grabbed his sweatshirt and pulled it over his head in case, then looked at Ivy. "Lead the way."
Ivy grabbed his hand and pulled him along. She then went on rambling about classes. And how she finally got used to her arm
Rat gave her hand a little squeeze as he listened to her intently. "That's great! About your arm."
She smirks. "I know! It didn't fall off!" She leaned her head on his shoulder
He shook his head and let an actual smile slip on his face. "I told you it wouldn't."((Aww....okay...))
Ivy laughed and shook her head. He leaned her head on his shoulder once again
Rat sighed and looked down at her. How could he ever hurt her? She was much too good for him.
"What have you been doing?" She asked. Looked up.
Peter walked into his dorm and looked around. He noticed some other people and shrugged. Then he sat down on the couch and turned on the TV.
Rat glanced back to his dorm door and nodded. "Locking myself in the dorm, being antisocial, while trying to figure things out."
Ivy sighed. "Well... How about we get a drink of something..." She nodded
Rat nodded and sighed. "Sure. Lead the way." Usually he would have tacked on one of his compliments at the end and he felt like his words were empty without it. But he still refused to say anything.
Ivy sighed. "Smile... Okay? Everything is okay! I swear it!" She smiled sadly and then pulled him along
Rat bit his lip and nodded, but still didn't smile. He noticed her smile was sad, which just caused his face to drop more.
Peter sighed and tuned the volume up on the TV.
Ivy looked down and squeezed his hand slightly.
Rat kept his eyes on the ground and sighed when she squeezed his hand.
Peter raised an eyebrow at the two others in the room. He plugged in his iPod and started playing some music.
