I am 15% through and I haven't decided how I feel about it yet. At this point I just want to finish it so I can figure out what is going on but I am not exactly engrossed into the book yet.
26% and I know how I feel. Badly-written, foul characters and plot etc.
Well the reviews say it gets less confusing and jumbled up about 60% through. I guess we will see. I didn't expect this extremely large array of paranormal creatures to be thrown in.
I'm not confused actually, I just think the writer doesn't know how to put things together. If she can later, I'll appreciate that.
Well as in confusing I mean the book jumps from one thing to another. It doesn't have a good flow. It seems there isn't a correltation to the majority of happenings in the book, but I am hoping it will all come together in the end.
You're right, it jumps around a lot. Now it looks like the most important part is Wes; but I think after that the other pretty boy will be as important as him and BUM! Love triangle. At least I feel like that.
Yes I definitely see a love triangle playing out here. It will be a who will she choose: old love or new lust interest type situation.
And Wes will get so jealous that will leave her and she'll do anything to get him back; but won't leave the other boy.
Ha yeah most likely. So what do you think is up with her thinking something when she is Wes and then it just happens?

That's ok. It seems like Wes can read her mind or something. At the lake she was thinking that she wanted him to kiss her and she did. She also thought that she loved him and then he comes out and says almost exactly what she was thinking. It just seems like there is a connection there between her thoughts and his actions.

I read into alot of stuff when I read. Alot of time nothing becomes of it, but I always try to figure out what the ending will be so I take everything possible into consideration. :)
That's great habit :D So let me ask you something, the Cooper guy mentioning in the blurb, can he be that cute guy in the forest first day?

Yes predictable books are quite boring.
They are. The bad thing is, I don't have a character then I seem to like.
I know I haven't really been able to connect with anyone either. Cooper is probably my favorite however. You learn a bit about him in the next few chapters.
He's the only one I wonder about, so I hope I like him. I need something good about the book

Nope, Cooper. I still don't fully trust him and I don't think I will; but I come to like him. 36%, btw. Feeling like I'm so slow. :/

Have you been able to read any today? I am at 55%. Still hasn't captured my attention completely. I like some of the quotes but at this point I am just ready to finish the book.
I haven't read any pages at all after the last update. I've been struggling like everything for hours. I'll resume ASAP. And I do feel the same with you, I didn't get anything I expect from this book.
Ok. I am hoping to finish tonight because I am ready to move on. I will probably end up reading the remaining books in the series one day though, just to know how it ends. It seems like today is full of struggles on my side as well. I hope it gets better for you.
Reading spoilers looks better for me now. I don't think I can stand reading the sequels.It's already evening here, will be midnight in a few hours, I'm saving my hopes for tomorrow. I hope yours will get better though.
Well I have finished it and I was not extremely impressed. The one thing I liked was some of the descriptions. They amused me. Other than that I never really connected with any of the characters, Cooper included, and I never really got into the story. I like Cooper the best, but I can't decide if I fully trust him. I hope that today is going better for you. Have you been able to read any?
I could find some time to read. In fact, I'm about to finish it, like 92%. I'll write quite a review after I finish.
About the characters, I liked Cooper actually. Not that I entirely trust; but still. Wes, not quite a bit. He was just a player, nothing much and the fact that he loves Laken doesn't make things any good. Laken? I'm still not sure. She seemed... I don't know. I was about to say 'too fluffy'; but this doesn't put a finger on the point.Story wasn't appaeling, this is for sure. I felt like my eyes were going through the words without understanding even I little. Not in all the parts, I kinda liked the last 50 pages and swifted through them in a rush; but the other parts were just below average. A way better book than this could be written.
I'm not sure about descriptions either. I remember so little about the looks of the characters etc. Wes has great green eyes and dark hair, I got that part; but don't ask me about Cooper or Laken.
I didn't like it; but I might read the sequels, I wonder how she will combine all those stuff.
Yeah I will read them out of curiosity. But I am with you for the most part.
