Extended Edition For Sale in US?

I love The Beatles, and love Mark Lewisohn. I am trying to figure out a way to purchase the Extended Special Edition (twice as long as the one currently for sale, it's over 1700 pages) for delivery to the US but it only seems to be available for purchase within the UK. Is this a copywright issue? The Random House website had no information. Does anyone know if I can buy this without resorting to flying to London?
A bit late reply to this, but I got mine on U.S. Amazon, so some copies do show up there through third party vendors. It was a new copy, not used. I read the abridged version and then absolutely had to have the two volume set. I might add that the books, outside of their content, are lovely things--beautiful, high quality paper and bindings that you don't see often.
