But yes, communication between management and staff is incredibly important, as is feeling like management cares about the staff's opinions and needs.
I've had good managers and wretched ones, and the good ones are the ones you can really talk to without being afraid of offending them, and that in return address issues with YOU right away instead of letting you go on your merry way without knowing there's a problem.
